Patent Indirect Infringement Of Patent Infringement
1.Introduction
Patent indirect infringement,as the name implies,is opposite to patent direct infringement.
Generally, the conception of patent indirect infringement is to meet the need of pantent protection. It
expands the protection domain of the patent right to the no patented products, improves patent
protection s horizontal and provides sufficient legal protection for patentees.
Nowadays, more and more countries ordain the system of indirect infringement in their patent laws in
order to protect the patentees effectually, and the system of indirect infringement has become a full
blown law operating mechanism in the protection of patentees. But so far it is not prescribed in
Chinese patent law. However, as China is more and more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2. Case Description(Actavis V Liily [2015] EWCA 555 (Civ))
In June 2015,Eli Lilly won a patent case to Actavis in the the Court of Appeal in London. The case
was about Lilly s key blockbuster Alimta lung cancer drug, which was granted a Patent (EP 1 313 508
B1) on April 18 2007. The decision of the Court of Appeal overturned the decision last year in UK
high court, and would also apply to France, Italy and Spain.
At the first instance, Mr Justice Arnold used the improver questions to decide that there was no direct
or contributory infringement of using generic products containing pemetrexed diacid, pemetrexed
dipotassium or pemetrexed ditromethamine. In that decision, Mr Justice Arnold relied on the
prosecution history of the patent and concluded that during prosecution of this case, Eli Lilly had
narrowed the claims

The Stata And Hlm Software
The HSLS data was collected through a stratified two stage sampling process. That is, 944 schools
(including public, private, and charter schools) were sampled in the first stage and in the second stage
25, 206 students selected in 50 states in the District of Columbia (Ingels et al., 2011, 2014). There
were approximately 27 students selected per school. To cater for the complex sampling, the data
include weights (students weights, parent weights, teacher weights, counselor weights, and school
weights) that should be used to account for the sampling and non response at the two stages of the data
collecting process. For these reasons STATA and HLM software will be used in the data analysis
process because these software can be used with weights and correction of standard error. The HSLS
has missing data that has been cleaned and the analysis process made easier because the data includes
variables in which imputation methods (weighted sequential hot deck [WSHD] were used to replace
the missing data (see Ingels et al., 2011, 2014). To answer the first research question that examines the
trends in (i) algebra achievement, (ii) OTL across the three time points analysis using descriptive
statistics to compare differences by race, location, States, SES, and school type will be used and
presented using a combination of line graphs and histograms. The algebra achievement used will be
the probability of proficiency scores, which is criterion referenced, to show the gains in

Labor Union History
A labor union can be defined as an organization of workers dedicated to protecting their interests in
the workplace and improving wages, hours, and working conditions (Carrell Heavrin, 2013, p. 41). It
has also been mentioned how the United States has various labor unions and that these unions fall into
a smaller number of broad groups. Also, union membership in the United States has fallen from 20.3
percent in 1983 to 11.8 percent in 2011, according to the Labor Department (Mason, 2017). Currently,
one of the top labor unions is the National Education of the United States. With this Union, it has
roughly around 3.2 million members and it is the nation s largest union as it represents public school
teachers, administrators, substitutes teachers, higher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was founded in 1857 and it merged with the American Teachers Association. Another top labor
union is The Service Employees International Union (SEIU). In 1921, janitors formed this union in
Chicago and it currently has around 2.1 million members. In the United States, the SEIU is the largest
healthcare, property services, and public services union (Mason, 2017). Furthermore, it represents
janitors, security officers, superintendents, maintenance workers, local and state government workers,
local and public school employees, bus drivers, and child care workers (Mason, 2017). The United
Steelworkers (USW) is another example of a labor union. This union has approximately 1.2 million

God On Trial By Frack Cottrell Boyce
God on Trial is an intriguing movie written by Frack Cottrell Boyce. This diverse cast of actors, tell a
riveting story about some Jewish men in the concentration camp and their reasoning to put God on
trial. As the movie begins, everyone is nervous because a new group will be arriving soon and in order
to make room, some will need to be disposed of. Painstakingly, they endure the selection, left or right.
There is no certainty as to which side would be safe and those who were selected to move right,
automatically assumed safety. As the new group of men was settling in, some were saying prayers and
were asked why they prayed to a God, whom was no longer present. It is thought that the Jews should
not be on trial, but it should be God, He should

Past, Present and Future for Education System

From: David H Rhodes, Keeble Park North, Bishopthorpe, York. THE school examination results
have been announced and no doubt many students are rejoicing in what they have attained through
very hard work. Congratulations to them.
This does, however, bring an air of confusion as to the genuine merit and value of the grades attained.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that 50 years ago only a percentage of examinees were passed
in each grade, A, B, etc. If so, it would have had the benefit of stricter marking and no added points
for crude expressions.
Universities would have had a better selection process as there would have been ... Show more content

We would then improve our commercial, industrial, scientific and professional status in the world and

Sad indictment of council s culture policy
From: Alice Sheepshanks, Arthington, near Leeds.
AS the air reverberates with the sound of rock from the Leeds Festival, at Bramham, I sorely lament
the lack of some culture and hope most sincerely that next year it will be possible for Leeds City
Council to support the Leeds Shakespeare Festival again.
It is so important to cater for all tastes, and not just to bow to the lowest common denominator. I
believe wholeheartedly that Shakespeare can be appreciated by all ages and classes, particularly if
performed by this most skilful and dedicated troupe, the British Shakespeare Company.
I have taken my two children (now aged 12 and 14) to the performances at Kirkstall Abbey since they
were quite small. They adored the spectacle, the language, the plot it was a marvellous opportunity for
them.
I feel desperately sad that this year they can wander about at Bramham and listen to the thundering
sound of Metallica and Tenacious D (which they love) but The Tempest or A Midsummer Night s
Dream are out of the question.
What a sad indictment on Leeds City Council.

Tare Research Paper
Scholars believe tares are darnel (a noxious weedy rye grass often found in grain fields), whose seeds
become toxic when certain fungi infest them, which in turn, renders them harmful to cash crops such
as wheat. Uprooting them also uproots the wheat; therefore, farmers leave them in the ground until
harvest time when the chaff can be safely separated from the grain and subsequently burnt. Good and
evil similarly co exist in the local church, which underscores the for all people aspect Church.
However, problems arise when error receives equal voice to the Truth. The Truth shakes up the
Church. Only Christ (The Word of Truth) can separate wheat from tares, truth from falsehood, and fact
from fiction. Like an ox, threshing grain tied to a millstone, the worshiping church must circle God s
Truth threshing out disciples. Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out grain (1 Cor 9: 9), St Paul
warns. In other words, do not hinder or silence those who are doing Christ s work. Because it was a
common activity in ancient times, the Old Testament often mentions threshing grain. For example,
Solomon built his temple on the threshing floor David bought from Oman the Jebusite (1 Chron.
22:1). Another time, Ruth came to Boaz at the threshing floor. Boaz symbolizes Christ and Ruth
symbolizes the Bride of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In worship, Christ s moves the Body of Christ into the death experience through God s creative
process. There, all falsehood and rebellion are exposed as God s separates his permissive will from his
creative will so truth, justice, and faith can emerge in its fullness. In the end, having a destiny in
Christ, assemblies constantly destroy things along the way. In that the threshing floor experience roots
Christian unity in God s creative division. Only by awakening the unsettling aspects of Christ s
character can the Body of Christ ever become wholly unified and wholly catholic at

Hernan Cortes Letters
Dear Isabel,
Throughout my years as an explorer, I have been to many different countries. I have also come in
contact with many people and learned about many different cultures. In most of the cities I have been
to, although the type of government system may vary, the one thing that tends to stay the the same
throughout these societies are the role of women and how they are treated in the everyday world. Like
in my most recent trip to Mexico, I had the opportunity to observe that the role of women was
extremely different from the role of men.
As I entered Mexico City, accompanied by my able exploring partner Jesus Rodriguez, I noticed the
wonderful sights and beautiful cities that lay on both sides of the lake known as Chalco. Many people

Although Marina helped Cortes during his expeditions, many townspeople have very different views
of Dona Marina. If you ask some people about Dona Marina some will call her a traitor because she
helped aid the spaniards and helped the foreign rulers rise to power, others would say she did what she
had to do to survive. She had enough intelligence to learn multiple languages and enough social skills
to be a cultural mediator for foreigners who may have not necessarily gotten along.4 Why is it that
throughout her years serving Hernan Cortes , she isn t given a higher title other than Hernan Cortes
Translator. She was obviously more than this, yet due to her background and sex all of her great
accomplishments go unnoticed or even worse passed on to the male who own s her. This goes along
with how women were treated more like property rather than human beings. She was bought by Cortes
as a translator, she followed him throughout most of his expeditions and helped him achieve great
success by possibly taking her ideas and calling them his own, and due to the fact that she is a woman,
she doesn t get any credit for her hard work. About a year or so after I had left Mexico, I learned that
Dona Marina had married a conquistador named Juan Jaramillo and that she gave birth to her second
child, a girl, this time named Dona

Jack s Transformation In Lord Of The Flies Essay
As time progresses on the island without a real system of order, human nature takes over in many of
the boys, starting with Jack. Although it does not last, at the beginning of the novel even Jack agrees
with Ralph saying that they need to have rules and obey them (Golding 42). This helps display the
dramatic transformation the boys go through to eventually become full fledged savages. Golding
allows this transformation to happen in what seems like an unsettlingly fast amount of time. It shows
how quick humans can go from being functioning parts of society to savages that act like animals
without any regard for right and wrong. This makes one think about civilization in general. It raises
the question of how close society as a whole is to falling apart. Most would say that it comes down to
individual ethics and morals. If more individuals lean on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They continue with their savage ways of hunting and looking for a beast, rather than worrying about
other responsibilities. Ralph tries to reason with Jack about many topics such as the signal fire being
their only chance of rescue (Golding 176). Ralph knows that if they want someone to rescue them,
keeping a signal fire lit at all times is their best shot. Jack seemingly does not care about this at all. He
and his group abandon the fire and go hunting for pigs (Golding #). This is quite alarming as he has
already lost sight of getting off the island. Roger kills Piggy with a boulder that simultaneously
destroys the conch, leaving Ralph as the only representation of civilization in any form (Golding 180
181). Ralph is one of the few alive that cares and understands that civilization and order are important.
He strives to save the group, but he cannot save the group unless they help themselves. Instead of
being productive and unable to get their priorities straight, the remaining boys are more worried about
killing Ralph than getting off the

The Women s Movement Essay
The Women s Movement The women s rights movement was a huge turning point for women because
they had succeeded in the altering of their status as a group and changing their lives of countless men
and women. Gender, Ideology, and Historical Change: Explaining the Women s Movement was a
great chapter because it explained and analyzed the change and causes of the women s movement.
Elaine Tyler May s essay, Cold War Ideology and the Rise of Feminism and Women s Liberation and
Sixties Radicalism by Alice Echols both gave important but different opinions and ideas about the
women s movement. Also, the primary sources reflect a number of economic, cultural, political, and

In her essay she relates the rise of feminist consciousness in the 1960s to numerous changes in
American society, especially the rise of other protest movements. Echols said, On September 7, 1968,
the sixties came to that most apple pie of American institutions, the Miss America Pageant (Echols,
308). The reason she said this was because one hundred women s liberation activists descended upon
Atlantic City to protest the pageant s promotion of physical attractiveness as the primary measure of
women s worth. From there, the protestors set up a Freedom Trash Can and filled it with high heeled
shoes, bras, girdles, hair curlers, false eyelashes, typing books, and representative copies of
Cosmopolitan, Playboy, and Ladies Home Journal. They wanted to burn the contents but couldn t
because of the laws for bonfires on the boardwalk. Also, word had been leaked to the press that there
would be a symbolic bra burning. However, there were no bras burnt that day. But the image of the bra
burning, militant feminists remains part of our popular mythology about the women s liberation
movement. The Miss America demonstration represents an important moment in the history of the
sixties as well as the women s movement (Echols, 309 310). Although the women s liberation
movement only began to take shape toward the end of the decade, it was a quintessentially sixties
movement. The women s liberation movement alone carried on and extended into the 1970s that

License Plate Readers Summary
The advent of license plate readers (LPRs) has brought joy to law enforcement due to the ways in
which LPRs can facilitate ongoing investigations. However, it has also brought concern to privacy
advocates and law abiding citizens whose data is also being picked up by LPRs. Allison Klein and
Josh White s Washington Post article, titled License Plate Readers: A Useful Tool for Police Comes
with Privacy Concerns, explores these two perspectives. The article starts by examining the adoption
of this technology in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. There is a high concentration of LPRs
in the city proper. The local police departments want to ensure that LPRs cover the entirety of the
District of Columbia. However, there has been pushback from groups like the American Civil
Liberties Union (ACLU). The ACLU claims that no level of government whether it is local, state, or
federal should have widespread access to the travels of innocent civilians. Law enforcement agencies
across the country have countered such criticism with the assertion that LPRs can help with cases
involving child abductors or terrorists. LPRs would also assist in preventative policing. ... Show more

Washington University. Kerr raised questions surrounding the role of LPRs, including one about the
retention of data. The main takeaway from Kerr s input is that law enforcement is not effectively

Working Labour And Engineering Based Careers For This...
Comparatively, unlike larger metropolitan cities in Queensland, Toowoomba neglected catering to its
developing expert health care working force. Even now, focusing on developing working labour and
engineering based careers for this generation. Certainly, basic financial literacy can tell you why this is
considered as a brash approach to developing the economy, where the development is at the cost of a
generation. For instance, since Toowoomba is openly too inclined to expand its current infrastructure,
this created a disproportionate market share. Wherein, much of the educational development is biased
for training a robust labour market to supplement this industrial growth. Subsequently, relying on
fringe benefits, such as reasonable housing pricing, to incentivize foreign and interstate expert

Midsummer Night s Dream Irrationality
A Midsummer Night s Dream is one of many famous works written by William Shakespeare, the
greatest writer of the 17th century. It tells a story of eight lovers, four of which simply cannot get
along, as two people love the same person and one is left out. However you can learn quite a bit from
this story, all you have to do is look closely. Theseus, the duke of Athens, is preparing for his marriage
to the queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta. Egeus, an Athenian nobleman comes into Theseus wedding

Age Of Empires
Age of Empires III (AoE III) was released in 2005 as the final installment to Microsoft s Ensemble
Studio s genre defining historical real time strategy (RTS) PC series. The game, like its predecessors,
of which the first was released in 1997, focuses on historical events and revolves around two primary
game modes: a campaign mode and a skirmish mode. For the most part, although released six years
after Age of Empires II (and three years after the spin off Age of Mythology), gameplay remains the
same with the old themes of base building, resource gathering, and destruction of an enemy common
throughout most RTS titles. Age of Empires, however, stands apart from other RTS games because it
achieves an unprecedented level of engagement and immersion. ... Show more content on

In AoE III, a player can choose to play from a selection of seven European civilizations that were
prominent at periods of time during the Age of Exploration through the Industrial Revolution. While
general mechanics of the game are the same from civilization to civilization, their strengths and
weaknesses are rooted in historical fact. Take the French for example. Historically, the French
originally came to the New World as independent trappers and merchants who spread across the
wilderness (unlike other settlers who largely came as colonialists on behalf of their respective
crowns). They appropriately have the strongest settler units in the game, uniquely titled Coureur des
Bois or runners in the woods . They are more expensive than settlers of other civilization, but they
collect resources faster and are more resistant early attacks. As the French age through in the game,
their military strengths reflect the rise in military prominence the French historically experienced
initially under Kings Louis XII and XIV and later under Napoleon Bonaparte, which were both
supported by a backbone of heavy cavalry of gendarmes and cuirassiers. Similarly, among a few of the
other playable civilizations, the Dutch have the unique ability to build banks to generate coin without
having to mine for it, the British have the strongest navy, and the Portuguese get a new town center
with every age. The Ottomans, who are also a playable civilization in AoE III, may seem like an odd
addition to a game based primarily in the New World, but its presence is one of the many ways Age of
Empires subtly engages its player in thinking more broadly about history. At the time when many
Western European nations sought to exploit trade in Asia (and ended up in the New World), they
wanted to tap into what was the Ottoman s market. Istanbul was the cultural and economic capital that

The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1923 was a terrible thing the Canadian parliament did that showed a

was an act passed by the Parliament of Canada. The Chinese Exclusion Act effectively closed off
Chinese immigration to Canada. The Chinese Exclusion Act was terrible because only Chinese people

Pride And Prejudice Analysis
In Jane Austen s Pride and Prejudice, the main character, Elizabeth Bennet, develops a laborious
relationship with Mr. Darcy, a man far wealthier than her own family. Over the course of the novel
Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy both fundamentally change due to each others influence. A major theme
throughout Austen s work is the presence or lack of money, and Pride and Prejudice is no different.
Within Pride and Prejudice, money seems to define a person s social class; however, Mr. Darcy has to
push aside his prejudice and focus on his emotions needs rather than his financial well being, in order
to be truly happy.
As the original title of this novel was First Impressions, it is important to examine the introduction of
Mr. Darcy. The narrator tells us he was looked at with great admiration for about half the evening, till
his manners gave a disgust which turned the tide of his popularity (Page 8). Upon his arrival at the
ball, the townspeople are infatuated with Mr. Darcy because of his good looks and most importantly
because of his income. However, when he is found to be ill mannered there is no amount of money
that could his overwhelming elitist attitude. In comparison, it is stated that the evening altogether
passed off pleasantly to the whole family in reference to the Bennet family (Page 9). This statement
establishes that the fault of Mr. Darcy s unamusing time at the ball was not the event itself. Using
body language, and nonverbal cues Mr. Darcy makes it clear that he

The Wolf Of Wall Street Belfort Summary
In The Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort tells the tale of his rise and fall of his stockbroking career at
his firm, Stratton Oakmont. He talks of all night parties, drug benders, and women everywhere he

would defraud investors and the high pressure sales tactics used by his team. In The Wolf of Wall

excess, which holds true, because human nature leads people to harm others in pursuit of the almighty
dollar. When people recklessly pursue and acquire money, they often turn to the darker side of human
nature. After taking a drug test as a result of his DUI arrest, Belfort tested positive for drugs such as ...

Potential Environmental Impacts of Utilization of ConocoPhillips Fuel Efficient High Performance

In some shape or form, nearly all aspects of American life contribute to unnecessary exploitation of
natural resources. The automobile is a staple of American life and culture, and perhaps best
exemplifies Americans dependence on gross quantities of raw materials. On any given day, over 235
million vehicles travel 11 billion miles on U.S. highways, consuming nearly 20 million barrels of oil
daily 1,2,3. Worldwide, oil consumption has reached a 16 year high of 80.6 million barrels per day 17.

Various serious environmental catastrophes may result from continued global warming, one of which
is rising sea levels due to the melting of polar ice caps. For the most part however, the global climate
system is far too complex to make accurate predictions, but this does not mean that such issues should
be ignored. Rather, we should proceed with caution.
Furthermore, rising consumer popularity and low fuel efficiency make for a lethal combination with
regards to SUV s and light trucks. In 1975, SUV s and trucks accounted for only about 13% of
vehicles purchased. The EPA has estimated that SUV s and trucks will make up nearly 4 times that
much in 2004 48% of total vehicle sales. Trucks and SUV s are less fuel efficient than other
automobiles, getting an average of 17 miles per gallon compared to about 25 miles per gallon attained
by passenger cars 6. According to these fuel economy and consumer trends, fuel consumption in the
United States is only going to increase in the near future. In turn, global climate change will likely
grow accordingly with increased CO2 emissions from added gasoline consumption.
Consumer demand for gasoline is an incredibly strong market force, strong enough that many
consumers continue to buy the fuel regardless of market price. As of May 10, 2004, average gasoline
prices are at an all time high of $1.941 per gallon across the nation, and up to $2.21 in California 7.

Self Care Practice With Older People
As a support worker, I have noticed in my care practice with elderly people, that every single older
person is unique and needs an individual approach, therefore day to day life and well being issues are
often a matter of degree; an older person may be able to dress himself or herself except for reaching to
put on shoes and tie shoelaces, or managing difficult fasteners (especially zippers and snaps that close
in the back). If that is the case, self care abilities can be improved simply by changing the kinds of
clothes worn and the way they are fastened. One person may be able to eat independently except for
cutting foods or handling liquids without spilling them. At the other extreme, another person may not
be able to bring a spoon to his or her mouth at all, or may even have difficulty swallowing food. ...

It is important to discuss these issues openly and with sensitivity. To understand the problem, it is
necessary to understand the person. The exception is when daily living problems arise because of a
disease that affects memory, such as Alzheimer s disease or, at times, stroke, Parkinson s disease, and
other illnesses. In those cases, difficulties in daily living may be due more to forgetting to perform a
task or how to complete it correctly rather than in physically doing the task. In relation, every single

Effects of Illegal Insider Trading Essay
Insider trading is a term that most investors have heard and usually associate with illegal conduct. But
the term actually includes both legal and illegal conduct. The legal version is when corporate insiders
officers, directors, and employees buy and sell stock in their own companies. When corporate insiders
trade in their own securities, they must report their trades to the SEC. Illegal insider trading refers
generally to buying or selling a security, in breach of a fiduciary duty or other relationship of trust and
confidence, while in possession of material, nonpublic information about the security. Insider trading
violations may also include tipping such information, securities trading by the person tipped, and
securities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But, in a case like that of Enron, their stock price was enormous since it was not evident that they
were cooking their books. This would not have happened if insider trading were legal. Investors would
not have lost most of their money investing in a firm like Enron and taking the hit when they were
investigated for insider trading and fraud. The Enron insiders would have sold their shares and the
price would have corrected itself and the disaster might have been avoided. Investors could have
allocated their money towards more promising investments, which in turn would increase market
efficiency. With legalizing insider trading, stock prices would be more efficient with the ability to
acquire more information. Illegal trading is still common and some may say it is actually growing.
This puts law abiding investors at a disadvantage. Insider trading bans allow for some comparable
behavior. For example, if I were to work for a company and hear that we were going to post a profit
this quarter, I would not sell my shares. This could be considered insider non trading and is currently
legal, but can basically be considered insider trading. There are plenty of loopholes in the current
system. With increased information, we might be able to smooth the volatility of the market. It will
lessen the exposure to bad information and will benefit the market s participants. Profits being made
from the information will expedite the flow of information. There is a gray area

Math Survey Paper In Math
For our Honors Math fall final this year we were assigned a task to collect 100 pieces of data from a
survey question of our choice. With that question we surveyed 100 students from the same population.
After collecting the responses we input the data into a spreadsheet to find the frequencies for each
answer given. With those frequencies we then found the mean, median, mode, range, quartile 1,
quartile 2, quartile 3, the interquartile range, maximum, minimum, outliers, standard deviation, and a z
score from the data. Further we were to create a hand drawn histogram and a box and whisker plot.
Finding all of these is helping us come to a conclusion as to whether the responses to the survey
question is normally distributed or not and if ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The next thing I found was the range. To find the range you take the maximum number in the set
minus the minimum number in the set. In my data the range was 60. Next, I found the quartiles that
would be used for my box and whisker plot. To find Quartile 1 you have to find the median of the data
that falls below the median of the entire data. In my data Quartile 1 was 0. You do almost the same to
find Quartile 3. You find the median of the upper half of the data. You can not use the median to find
Quartile 3 so you have to use everything above it. Quartile 3 in my set of data was 14. Finding
Quartile 2 is easy because it is the same as your median. To find any outliers you have to find the
upper limits and the lower limits. To do this you must find the interquartile range first. To do that, you
subtract Quartile 1 from Quartile 3. With the interquartile range, you then can add it to Quartile 3 and
subtract it from Quartile 1. By adding the interquartile range to Quartile 3 you are creating the upper
limit and by subtracting the interquartile range from Quartile 3 you are finding the lower limits. In this
case all four of my outliers fell above the maximum limit of 36 because you can not fly negative times
and 0 falls within the limits. Lastly, I found the standard deviation of my entire 100 pieces of data. To
do this I wrote all the numbers that would be found of the x axis ( 0 60 ). Then I found the average of

Manoeuvrist Approach, Mission Command And OODA Loopist...
In order to be able to answer on those questions it will be necessary firstly to explain basic theoretical
points about Manoeuvrist Approach, Mission command and OODA loop cycle. Throughout history,
military theorists and commanders have attempted to determine and define the most effective way to
defeat an adversary and achieve victory. British military doctrine defines this method as the
Manoeuvrist Approach or indirect approach, which main focus is basically on attacking enemy s
cohesion and will to fight rather than focusing purely on the destruction of his physical component.
The approach itself is based on manoeuvre theory, which relies on speed, deception, surprise, and the

OODA loop (observe orient decide act) is theory presented by American John Boyd and its essence is
to be faster through OODA loop cycle than the enemy. If we can consistently go through the OODA
cycle faster than the enemy, make faster decisions and act before him, we gain an advantage and
enemy loses his cohesion until he can no longer fight as an effective, organized force. However, in
order to be faster than enemy some preconditions have to be achieved. Firstly, according to Boyd, only
decentralized military with application of mission command can have a fast OODA loop. Secondly,
through decentralization, to operate successfully in fog of war we need to accept confusion and
disorder, and also to generate them. Thirdly, while operating in confusion and disorder we need to
avoid all patterns, recipes and formulas, because if our tactics follow predictable patterns, the enemy
can predict our actions and easily cut inside our OODA Loop. And lastly, we should never do the same
thing twice because even if something works well for us once, by the second time the enemy will have

In contrast to previous film adaptations of Shakespeare that have appeared mostly as filmed stage

There were approximately 27 students selected per school. To cater for the complex sampling, the data include weights (students weights, parent weights, teacher weights, counselor weights, and school weights) that should be used to account for the sampling and non response at the two stages of the data collecting process. For these reasons STATA and HLM software will be used in the data analysis process because these software can be used with weights and correction of standard error. The HSLS has missing data that has been cleaned and the analysis process made easier because the data includes variables in which imputation methods (weighted sequential hot deck [WSHD] were used to replace the missing data (see Ingels et al., 2011, 2014). To answer the first research question that examines the trends in (i) algebra achievement, (ii) OTL across the three time points analysis using descriptive statistics to compare differences by race, location, States, SES, and school type will be used and presented using a combination of line graphs and histograms. The algebra achievement used will be the probability of proficiency scores, which is criterion referenced, to show the gains in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

THE school examination results have been announced and no doubt many students are rejoicing in what they have attained through very hard work. Congratulations to them. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that 50 years ago only a percentage of examinees were passed in each grade, A, B, etc. If so, it would have had the benefit of stricter marking and no added points for crude expressions. Sad indictment of council s culture policy From: Alice Sheepshanks, Arthington, near Leeds. AS the air reverberates with the sound of rock from the Leeds Festival, at Bramham, I sorely lament the lack of some culture and hope most sincerely that next year it will be possible for Leeds City Council to support the Leeds Shakespeare Festival again. It is so important to cater for all tastes, and not just to bow to the lowest common denominator. I believe wholeheartedly that Shakespeare can be appreciated by all ages and classes, particularly if performed by this most skilful and dedicated troupe, the British Shakespeare Company. I have taken my two children (now aged 12 and 14) to the performances at Kirkstall Abbey since they were quite small. They adored the spectacle, the language, the plot it was a marvellous opportunity for them. • 7. Tare Research Paper Scholars believe tares are darnel (a noxious weedy rye grass often found in grain fields), whose seeds become toxic when certain fungi infest them, which in turn, renders them harmful to cash crops such as wheat. Uprooting them also uproots the wheat; therefore, farmers leave them in the ground until harvest time when the chaff can be safely separated from the grain and subsequently burnt. Good and evil similarly co exist in the local church, which underscores the for all people aspect Church. However, problems arise when error receives equal voice to the Truth. The Truth shakes up the Church. Only Christ (The Word of Truth) can separate wheat from tares, truth from falsehood, and fact from fiction. Like an ox, threshing grain tied to a millstone, the worshiping church must circle God s Truth threshing out disciples. Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out grain (1 Cor 9: 9), St Paul warns. In other words, do not hinder or silence those who are doing Christ s work. Because it was a common activity in ancient times, the Old Testament often mentions threshing grain. I have also come in contact with many people and learned about many different cultures. In most of the cities I have been to, although the type of government system may vary, the one thing that tends to stay the the same throughout these societies are the role of women and how they are treated in the everyday world. Like in my most recent trip to Mexico, I had the opportunity to observe that the role of women was extremely different from the role of men. If you ask some people about Dona Marina some will call her a traitor because she helped aid the spaniards and helped the foreign rulers rise to power, others would say she did what she had to do to survive. She had enough intelligence to learn multiple languages and enough social skills to be a cultural mediator for foreigners who may have not necessarily gotten along.4 Why is it that throughout her years serving Hernan Cortes , she isn t given a higher title other than Hernan Cortes Translator. She was obviously more than this, yet due to her background and sex all of her great accomplishments go unnoticed or even worse passed on to the male who own s her. This goes along with how women were treated more like property rather than human beings. She was bought by Cortes as a translator, she followed him throughout most of his expeditions and helped him achieve great success by possibly taking her ideas and calling them his own, and due to the fact that she is a woman, she doesn t get any credit for her hard work. Although it does not last, at the beginning of the novel even Jack agrees with Ralph saying that they need to have rules and obey them (Golding 42). This helps display the dramatic transformation the boys go through to eventually become full fledged savages. Golding allows this transformation to happen in what seems like an unsettlingly fast amount of time. It shows how quick humans can go from being functioning parts of society to savages that act like animals without any regard for right and wrong. This makes one think about civilization in general. In AoE III, a player can choose to play from a selection of seven European civilizations that were prominent at periods of time during the Age of Exploration through the Industrial Revolution. While general mechanics of the game are the same from civilization to civilization, their strengths and weaknesses are rooted in historical fact. Take the French for example. Historically, the French originally came to the New World as independent trappers and merchants who spread across the wilderness (unlike other settlers who largely came as colonialists on behalf of their respective crowns). They appropriately have the strongest settler units in the game, uniquely titled Coureur des Bois or runners in the woods . They are more expensive than settlers of other civilization, but they collect resources faster and are more resistant early attacks. As the French age through in the game, their military strengths reflect the rise in military prominence the French historically experienced initially under Kings Louis XII and XIV and later under Napoleon Bonaparte, which were both supported by a backbone of heavy cavalry of gendarmes and cuirassiers. Similarly, among a few of the other playable civilizations, the Dutch have the unique ability to build banks to generate coin without having to mine for it, the British have the strongest navy, and the Portuguese get a new town center with every age. The Ottomans, who are also a playable civilization in AoE III, may seem like an odd addition to a game based primarily in the New World, but its presence is one of the many ways Age of Empires subtly engages its player in thinking more broadly about history. Next, I found the quartiles that would be used for my box and whisker plot. To find Quartile 1 you have to find the median of the data that falls below the median of the entire data. In my data Quartile 1 was 0. You do almost the same to find Quartile 3. You find the median of the upper half of the data. You can not use the median to find Quartile 3 so you have to use everything above it. Quartile 3 in my set of data was 14. Finding Quartile 2 is easy because it is the same as your median. To find any outliers you have to find the upper limits and the lower limits. To do this you must find the interquartile range first. To do that, you subtract Quartile 1 from Quartile 3. With the interquartile range, you then can add it to Quartile 3 and subtract it from Quartile 1. By adding the interquartile range to Quartile 3 you are creating the upper limit and by subtracting the interquartile range from Quartile 3 you are finding the lower limits. In this case all four of my outliers fell above the maximum limit of 36 because you can not fly negative times and 0 falls within the limits. Lastly, I found the standard deviation of my entire 100 pieces of data. To do this I wrote all the numbers that would be found of the x axis ( 0 60 ). Then I found the average of all of ... • 25. Manoeuvrist Approach, Mission Command And OODA Loopist... In order to be able to answer on those questions it will be necessary firstly to explain basic theoretical points about Manoeuvrist Approach, Mission command and OODA loop cycle. Throughout history, military theorists and commanders have attempted to determine and define the most effective way to defeat an adversary and achieve victory. British military doctrine defines this method as the Manoeuvrist Approach or indirect approach, which main focus is basically on attacking enemy s cohesion and will to fight rather than focusing purely on the destruction of his physical component. The approach itself is based on manoeuvre theory, which relies on speed, deception, surprise, and the application of firepower and movement or application of own strengths ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... OODA loop (observe orient decide act) is theory presented by American John Boyd and its essence is to be faster through OODA loop cycle than the enemy. If we can consistently go through the OODA cycle faster than the enemy, make faster decisions and act before him, we gain an advantage and enemy loses his cohesion until he can no longer fight as an effective, organized force. However, in order to be faster than enemy some preconditions have to be achieved. Firstly, according to Boyd, only decentralized military with application of mission command can have a fast OODA loop. Secondly, through decentralization, to operate successfully in fog of war we need to accept confusion and disorder, and also to generate them. Thirdly, while operating in confusion and disorder we need to avoid all patterns, recipes and formulas, because if our tactics follow predictable patterns, the enemy can predict our actions and easily cut inside our OODA Loop. And lastly, we should never do the same thing twice because even if something works well for us once, by the second time the enemy will have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
