Tenochtitlan And Ix Summary
Tenochtitlan and Po. And Ix. Both took place in Mexico and both shared facts about Mexico and the
land in different ways. One mostly told a mythical story but talked about the landform as the other
talked about how people in Tenochtitlan and nonfictional facts about the land and city. So both are not
the same but they share some common interest. The Tenochtitlan story mainly told about a city in
Mexico and how they survived and lived. It describes how they developed on the island and how the
city first originated. Life over there was also involved with the Aztecs and why they made the choice
to move to a swampy land. Nowadays the city has been partly destroyed due to the Spanish and
Hernan Cortes which the ruins is today located near the center of Mexico City. Back then the whole
city s roads were made of canals which was mostly intended ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

However, they re both located near the same city and both take place in Mexico. Tenochtitlan was
primarily based on an urban development structure as the other was based on a tragic romance based
on a bad lie told to the married warrior and princess. I m probably sure that they shared the same
culture since there both in the same country and possibly practice the same ceremonies and practices,
so yeah they could have some similarities and some could be contrasted. Both can t be compared too
easily mostly because of the type of story it is and because of what they tell about, but they did have
some similarities on the other hand. They both took place in Mexico and were located near Mexico
City. So mainly they were stories held in Mexico and both did traditions in the same culture. Yeah I
could say that there wasn t extreme differences, but they do have some similarities hiding in the back.
You just have to read about it and think really

Health Policy Debate
Health Policy Debate The Affordable Care Act ACA has provided some needed changes to the
healthcare landscape of this great country. With these changes there have been many debates about
different aspects of the bill. The United States faces many ongoing challenges that include high cost of
healthcare, access to healthcare and the social aspect of government regulated healthcare. One of the
foundations of the ACA was to provide individuals with affordable healthcare and access to
preventative wellness as well as the reduction of preexisting conditions. In regards to the ACA, the
context of values, markets and morals will all be disused and the ongoing debate of the ACA. Values
Religion has always played a major role in the foundations of laws and values in the United States.
From money to monuments, the religious history has played major roles in this country s
establishment. According to Shaw (2015) delivering participant value requires more than cost
containment strategies that simply cut benefits and requires programs that provide better quality and
more cost effective care .

The moral aspect of healthcare has always been a topic that is widely debated. As a country, we should
be responsible for providing care and services for those in need. According to Saloner Daniels (2011)
the citizens of the U.S have a social obligation to preserve the opportunities of its s citizens by
achieving the health needs through insurance and by providing a form of insurance that protects
people from finical hardships. This moral responsibility to our citizens can be arguably debated from
both aspects but I believe that we must have some form of insurance to protect the wellbeing of every

Troll Hunters
Play n Go developed an intriguing adventure into the world of mythical with Troll Hunters. Troll
Hunters is not new to the mobile casino world, but has recently removed the exclusivity tag making it
available on multiple casinos. Players explore the mountainous abodes of these captivating creatures
of legend, searching for their stash of treasure along with a bevy of voluptuous vixens.
Visually Vibrant
Troll Hunters uses a 5 by 5 grid design, shifting around to the various places the trolls like to live.
Each of these places may house a host of troll treasures. Players are able to take on the image of three
scantily clad female warriors, each entrusted with hunting down the troll s booty. Finding a little meat
left on the bone by the trolls, or a skull cap overflowing with a belly full of grog, keeps a smile on
player s faces as they trudge through this world of trolls. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There can be as many as 20 free drops, which lead to huge payouts. These do not happen all too often,
but when they do the jackpots are enormous. Splitting the game into two different rounds gives
players two separate pay tables to earn bonuses.
Troll Hunter Strategy
The strange way the game applies bonus payouts, leads to a rather unusual series of winning lines.
Betting strategy is important to keep in mind, since the scatter line concept is used to place the
bonuses. However, when the right combination of symbols align, players need to be ready to bump the
betting line, plus take advantage of any collected free spins.
When the three Nordic Lasses join forces, which is the time to ramp up the wagers. Keep a keen eye
for the situations where the blonde warrior takes the lead. She pays out slightly higher than either the
red head, or the bodacious brunette. Players need to watch for the wild symbol and combine that with
the blonde warrior, because if the grid nails 5 in a row, winnings are multiplied by 20 times the

The Messages Of Langston Hughes s Poetry
Poetry is a way for people to express themselves. Written in stanzas, there is much more art to it than
simply putting words down on paper so they sound nice. Poets keep in mind the syllable count, the
rhyme scheme, the order of unstressed and stressed syllables, and many more techniques, depending
on the type of poem. Also, every poem has a unique, powerful message. Langston Hughes was a
recent American poet who wrote countless quality works, many of which have an enduring impact.
On February 1, 1902, one of the greatest poets of the twentieth century, James Mercer Langston
Hughes, was born in Joplin, Missouri. His father left for Mexico when Hughes was one, and his
mother traveled to find work as a teacher, so he was raised by his grandmother. ... Show more content

He uses a free verse format, with only two pairs of rhyming lines out of eighteen lines. He utilizes two
single lines at the beginning and end, to introduce his thoughts and conclude them; a sestet, septet, and
triplet fall in between those lines, respectively. Regarding figurative language, Hughes uses the
metaphor, I am the darker brother, (Hughes) to symbolize his skin color. He writes about how black
people were constantly controlled by the superior white race. However, he eventually became
independent and slightly vengeful. This is demonstrated in the hyperbole, Besides, they ll see how
beautiful I am and be ashamed (Hughes). Finally, in the last line, Hughes uses America as a nation to
symbolize his race in the sense that black people are independent and still

Texas Government Power
The state of Texas has grudge against authority. In fact, there s general distrust against the
government. Texas constantly limits the governor s power, which makes him one of the weakest
governors compared to other states. The plural executive system of Texas takes away power from the
Governor. However, this doesn t detain the governor from playing a vital legislative role.
The plural executive branch in Texas limits the Power of the Governor by dividing the responsibilities
he has into various elected officials. In fact, these elected officials do not have to answer to the
Governor, nor do they work together as a cabinet in the way that executive officials serve the U.S.
President. (Texas Politics). This creates a difficult environment to work; sometimes those officials do
not form part of the same political party, which creates conflict. In addition, the governor does not
form part of the decisions happening in the state, which sometimes create a miscommunication
between Texans and the Government. Texans often blame the governor for things out of his control.
(Collier et al 185). To wrap up, the Governor does not carry a lot of responsibilities, which makes him
weaker. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The governor can do this by the means of the state of the state address, which means that he can
inform the legislature of the condition of the state at the beginning of each legislative session and at
the end of his term. This can be often used to pass the Governor s own political ideas. The governor
can even use the emergency legislation, which lets the proposed legislation to be moved and be voted
during the first sixty days (171). Governors have no limitation on what is an emergency and it s
decided by their own judgment. This gives the governor power in the legislative

Social Media and Social Protest
A growing body of literature examines the relationship between environmental protest and news
media representation with special emphasis on how these formations relate to and affect the public and
politics.
The nature of our research is such that we are going to use a multitheoretical approach. Space does not
permit to review all the work done on this matter, but we have selected various key perspectives
needed for understanding the mechanisms of framing and media bias in the reporting of protest events.
We briefly review the more relevant perspectives that have guided our assessment of the evidence and
that were endorsed in our findings.
Protest logic and mediation opportunity structure
Various Studies have showed that media display an inherent bias against social protests, reflecting
elite interests, primarily by focusing on incidents of violence rather than on the message these protest
groups try to convey. Eldridge argues that what is being presented as neutral reporting is in fact an
array of codes and practices which effectively rest upon a cultural imperative to hear the causes of
disputes in one way rather than another , meaning that Media are not neutral unselective recorders of
events (Oliver and Maney, 2000: 464) Mainstream media predominantly tend to focus on violence and
on the spectacular rather than on the message being conveyed . Protest groups

Character Analysis Doubt
Doubt Analysis In John Shanely s Doubt there are two sides the reader can take at the end of the play.
The side of Sister Aloysius, claiming the Father Flynn was guilty, or the side of Father Flynn, claiming
that he is innocent. For the majority of the play I leaned more towards the side of Father Flynn,
however evidence that is brought up at the end of the play caused me to doubt Father Flynn s
innocence.
On page 53 Father Flynn suddenly changes his tone from one that is calm and collected to a more
erratic tone. His sudden change in tone causes doubt to form in the readers mind that Father Flynn
might not be as good of a person as he has made himself out to be. This is furthered by Father Flynn

Aloysius choose to see evil in Father Flynn from the beginning of the play. If she had brought up that
she saw William London shy away from Father Flynn s touch from the start then brought in
accusations about Donald Muller then I think I would have choose her side of the story. Father Flynn
also had some good alibis to suggest he was merely a father figure to Donald. Like that fact that
Donald opened up to Flynn about his dad s abuse. Also we never find out why Flynn had to move so
many times. Sister Aloysius chooses to believe that he molest children. While I choose to believe that
maybe Father Flynn is a closeted homosexual and in the cases were he needed to move someone
found out about his secret. Finally Father Flynn appears to give into Sister Aloysius s demands and
move. However I believe he moved to save Donald Muller s life. Flynn knew if Donald s secret got
out then he would be killed, so Flynn decided to move churches to save Donald s

Examples Of Concrete Thinking
3.1.4. Concrete Concrete Thinking is the opposite of abstract thinking. This is a literal thinking that

thinking that will focus on the physical world. In the development of an individual s cognitive
abilities, most individuals will start with concrete thinking. As the individual age, they will develop

will generate many ideas in an emergent cognitive fashion. This will allow for many possible solutions

Feminist Criticism In The Second Sex By Simone De Beauvoir
Simone de Beauvoir is an incredibly influential French philosopher, writer, activist, intellectual, and
social theorist. In 1949, she wrote what is perhaps her most noteworthy text, The Second Sex . In the
novel, Beauvoir explores the notion of femininity and the history of the relationship between men and
women, and makes the ambitious claim that One is not born, but rather becomes, Woman. (283) This
bold statement has sparked the interest of many feminist activists and scholars, but for one to truly
understand Beauvoir s work, one must ask, what does it mean? Although this statement is ostensibly
simple, it holds great meaning and depth. Essentially, it signifies that women are taught to be women,
by their mothers and by society, and are not simply born being society s definition of a woman. She
exemplifies this on multiple occasions in her novel. In one instance, she writes, It is here that little
girls first appear privileged. A second weaning, slower and less brutal than the first one, withdraws the
mother s body from the child s embraces; but little by little boys are the ones who are denied kisses
and caresses; the little girl continues to be doted upon... (285) Here Beauvoir shows that even from
birth, the stereotype that girls are more delicate and fragile than boys is perpetuated by parents treating
girls with more affection and delicacy. In another example, she states, The boy is also brought up by
his mother in the beginning; but she respects his maleness

Darkness Imagery In Macbeth Essay
Ambition and evil are the basic elements in William Shakespeare s Macbeth. Macbeth is a tragedy
which was written by Shakespeare in the Elizabethan Era. There was much use of Raphael Holinshed
s Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland as it was necessary for creating the environments and
situations in the play. Macbeth takes place mainly in Scotland and is a play about an ambitious thane,
named Macbeth, and his wife whose flaws lead to their demise. Since Macbeth is a tragedy, probably
nothing else would be as suitable for the play than darkness imagery. Imagery is a very important
aspect of literature. Many different types of imagery exist and there is at least one dramatic purpose
for each image. By analyzing William Shakespeare s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the imagery creates an ominous atmosphere it would then lead to the second dramatic purpose,
to arouse the emotions of the audience. Darkness imagery is a very good tool for arousing the
emotions of the audience. It enables people to create a mental picture of what they are reading. For
example, Duncan and Macbeth were talking when Macbeth says aside, Stars, hide your fires! Let not
light see my black and deep desires. When words like black and desire are put in that context it creates
many horrible mental pictures about murders and fights which arouses peoples emotions. Ross is later
talking with an old man when he states By the clock `tis day, and yet dark night strangles the traveling
lamp. In other words; although, the sun should be out, something is blocking the light. This example
of darkness imagery creates an eerie feeling in the reader because it is very abnormal for the sun to be
blocked. To help this example of imagery, the sun can also symbolize a monarch or king. Another case
of darkness imagery happens when Lady Macbeth and a messenger are talking and Lady Macbeth
states, That my keen knife see not the wound it makes, nor heaven peep through the blanket of the
dark to cry, Hold, hold! It creates an sensation of terror in the reader because of the something that is
unknown. With night covering the earth like a blanket, no one knows what might happen. Also, Lady
Macbeth seems to explain that her attack will be blind. She

Child Marriage Is A Growing Problem
Most girls dream of their wedding from a very young age, from meticulously planning each detail to
fantasizing about walking down the aisle. But, for many girls across the world, their wedding day is
something to dread. In many cases, these girls are forced to marry men much older than themselves,
sometimes even by three or four decades. The International Center for Research on Women defines
child marriage as, a formal marriage or informal union before age 18 (np), and although rarely
mentioned, child marriage is a growing problem worldwide. The United Nations Populations Fund
states, In developing countries, one in every three girls is married before reaching age 18. One in nine
is married under age 15 (unfpa.org). Young brides who are put in this terrible situation face
tremendous mental and physical risks and often die from the abuse they receive from their husband.
The following paper will highlight the oppression young brides face including first hand stories,
female genital mutilation, and health consequences across the Middle East and Eastern Asia. To begin
with, child marriages are very common in impoverished countries where most girls are viewed as an
unneeded expense and parents often desire to get them out of the house as soon as possible. In which
case, many girls do not receive an education, which is very beneficial. Many parents also believe that
marrying their daughters young is profitable to them, as it prevents rape from unmarried men and will

Sexuality and Desire in Jane Austen s Mansfield Park
In a letter to her brother dated 1814, Jane Austen boasted about a compliment she had received from a
friend on her most recent work, Mansfield Park: It s the most sensible novel he s ever read (263).
Austen prided herself on creating literature that depicted realistic characters and honest situations, but
perhaps more importantly, she strove to create fiction that was moral and instructional as well as
entertaining. So what does sensible say about the sexual? In Mansfield Park, the answer appears
blaringly before us, as we repeatedly witness sexuality and desire represented in the darkest of terms,
and often resulting in the most sinister of outcomes. Those who ... Show more content on

Mary is remarkably pretty (35) and wins the Bertrams over with her lively dark eye, clear brown
complexion, and general prettiness (37) and her brother, after just a few visits, is declared, most
agreeable young man the sisters had ever known (37). Henry (who I will discuss in greater length
momentarily) sees Maria and Julia as conquests, women to be won over just for the sake of doing so.
Mary, however, is sincere in her emotions toward Edmund (at least, as sincere as Mary Crawford
could ever be), but the combination of Edmund s desire for her and her own seductive nature makes
her a precarious character.
Perhaps Mary s biggest problem is that she is too knowledgeable for her own good. Her skepticism
and cynical attitude often seem out of place at the naïve and sheltered Mansfield Park, particularly
when compared to the ideological views of Edmund. Unlike Edmund, who is strikingly ignorant about
the matter, Mary becomes preoccupied with understanding Fanny s position in society, and subsequent
availability, inquiring, pray, is she out, or is she not? (42). Later, she remarks to Edmund, unaware that
he is soon to be ordained, upon the apathy she feels (and blindly assumes others feel, as well) about

Essay on DeStalinization
DeStalinization
The Origins
· Desalinization was an extremely sensitive issue, as if it was handed badly, it could provoke unrest.
The post Stalinist officials wished to give the impression that they had not been involved in Stalin s
crime, but also wished to promote change from his style of leadership.
· Initially, prisoners were released from labor camps and other criminals were rehabilitated, in order to
buy time for a more major action.
· In 1995 the central committee set up a commission that intended to investigate Stalin s crimes.
However, the commission was extremely limited in what it could condemn. It was not allowed to
denounce the majority of Stalin s actions, such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
· The speech, however, was not as effective as Khrushchev had hoped. It failed to criticize many
aspects of Stalin s rule and did not condemn Stalin as a person, but rather, the Stalinist system.
Nonetheless, it shocked the delegates, and effectively instigated Desalinization in the Soviet Union.
Why did Khrushchev do it?
* Several possible reasons:
Wished to liberate the party officials from the fear of repression, as under Stalin, no one was safe to
voice an opinion that conflicted to his.
A strategic maneuver on the part of Khrushchev, with the goal of securing his own authority. By
denouncing Stalin, Khrushchev was also undermining the credibility of his competitors, namely
Molotov and Malenkov, who had been members of Stalin s inner circle. This gave them an ultimatum:
side with Khrushchev or be condemned along with Stalin
Truly wished to change the coarse of the development of the Soviet Union
The events that followed
· Throughout the 1950 s, Khrushchev s policy of Desalinization continued, with many new policies

Reasons For Buying Luxury Goods
Their average monthly consumption times are more than twice, and the consumption cost is also the
highest in all age groups. The China Daily newspaper has reported that, younger Chinese luxury goods
consumption has become a trend. In their survey of Chinese youth luxury goods consumption, more
than 60% of young consumers indicated that in order to pursuit fashion and taste, they are willing to
pay big bucks to buy luxury goods (Wu, 2014).

Netflix Inc Case Study
Introduction: Netflix, Inc., is an entertainment industry that provides millions of customers with a
streaming service to television shows and movies. Netflix was founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and
Marc Randolph in Los Gatos, California (Hosch). In the late 1990 s, Netflix started to offer an online
subscription service through the Internet, which changed the way we viewed movies and shows. In the
mid 2000 s, Netflix mailed DVDs to their subscribers, and once the customer was done watching they
would mail it back to Netflix. However, it was not until 2007, that Netflix began streaming options
through the Internet. By 2012, Netflix was expanding their brand beyond the United States (Hosch).

Netflix has battled off these companies by keeping their costs low, always having a new variety of
shows and movies to watch and still making a large profit for themselves. The IT/IS system is helped
by this because they are always updating, adding, and removing content from their website, as well as
improving the layout and making it more user friendly with their recommended tabs and the ability to
show the consumer what they might want to watch based off of what they are currently watching or
what they have watched in the past. Threat of Substitute Products and Services The threat of substitute
products and services causes a company s goods and services to be threatened by other company s
similar goods and services. For example, Netflix s threats of substitutes are social media and cable
television. Social media is a similar product to Netflix, but causes Netflix to lose business, because
customers are being entertained by Instagram, and Snapchat, rather than watching Netflix. Netflix s
information system collects data based on customers activeness on Netflix s application. The
inactivity of customers causes Netflix to lose money and subscribers. Netflix will improve against the
threat of social media by making Netflix more interactive, such as, adding messaging to suggest shows
to your friend. In addition, cable television impacts Netflix s business. For instance, sports fans, and
HBO subscribers cannot get live games and Game of Thrones on Netflix,

Men’s Angst with Society´s Perception of Masculinity
...men are unhappy and don t really know why.
Masculinity in the modern age is changing, so much so that many men feel inadequate. A large
amount of men are unable to understand what type of masculinity they fit into and what they want to
fit into. In Gurmeet S. Kanwal s article from Psychology Today: The masculinity crisis, male malaise,
and the challenge of becoming a good man he says that, the perception and image of heterosexual men
in this country has never been as negative, de idealized, and potentially harmful as it is now. And lots
of men are feeling it. Men are now feeling that they do not fit into or do not want to fit into popular
masculinity. This is similar to the way American men were feeling about masculinity ... Show more

This is similar to how men feel now; they believe they can do more than society accepts them to do.
An example would be where a man would want to be the stay at home dad and take care of the
children, where it may seem outlandish now, will most likely become easily accepted in the future.
History points toward progressive changes in equality for both genders after rough receptions of new
ideas of how they can act. These ties into my thesis that new masculinities will be established which in
time will become accepted by society just as it has happened in the past. The wanting for a new type
of masculinity to fit into by males is only fueled by the male malaise that has been spreading recently,
in Kanwal s article there are many examples of this. The Atlantic came out with an issue where the
cover had an article titled The End of Men by Hanna Rosin. She discusses how men have been the
dominant sex since the beginning of humanity, but that it is now changing to women who will start
gaining dominance, and how that only two of the fifteen growing jobs in the future, men have a larger
representation of. This sends a blow to the idea that men should be the breadwinners, and makes men
feel inept to be financially supportive. It only gets worse with articles such as Are Fathers Necessary?
by Pamela Paul, in which she states that there is nothing essential about men s contribution to their
children. Media bashfulness on male masculinity is

Analysis Of The Poem The Of Mendoza Utilises Onofre...
It is fair to say that Mendoza utilises Onofre Bouvila as a character to be portrayed as a direct parallel
to the development and aspirations of Barcelona. This is expressed in the novel, since; it is irrelevant
how rich and powerful Onofre becomes. This is due to the fact that, he can never be on the top table of
the social ladder literally and figuratively, due to his impoverished upbringing and working class
background. corrió hacia la mesa presidencial... Al llegar a la mesa advirtió que no quedaba una sola

Therefore, one can surmise that Barcelona will never be able to consider it as the most significant and
influential city in Spain. This is mainly due to the fact that, it has the smaller population and is not the
capital city.
This is further illustrated with Onofre at the end of the book. When Onofre disappears on his flying
machine it is Mendoza s method to demonstrate to the reader that Onofre has given up on his
aspiration of achieving the highest echelons of the social ladder in Spain. This could be Mendoza s
intention to show that Barcelona s aspiration to escape the suppression by the hands of Madrid is
dissipating. Los que alertados por el ruido de los motores habían salido a los balcones o habían subido
a los terrados vieron cómo la máquina voladora desviaba sur umbo hacia el mar, como si la empujara
un viento repentino de poniente. This shows us that Mendoza is trying to tell the reader that what
happened to Onofre is not important to us. This could be a criticism by Mendoza, about the vociferous
nature of which Barcelona and Catalonia attempt to gain independence from Spain. He achieves this
denigration by displaying Catalonia s cries for independence as falling on deaf ears. Hence Mendoza
uses the character of Onofre to express his point of view that the objectives Catalonia

Contemporary Information Security Systems And Computer...
According to identitytheft.info, almost 15 million Americans have their identity used fraudulently due
to information leaks and information insecurities. With the growing dependency on computer systems

Contemporary Information security systems use many different components involving both hardware

Primarily, User Access Control or UAC systems are combinations of identification, authentication,
and authorization that helps restrict users to what information they can access in a database system

ID followed by an identity challenge such as a password (Blanding F. 2004). UAC is the most
fundamental access control technology as without it, there cannot be further information systems.
Within the UAC system, the system administrator designates users rights and accesses which helps

Original Sin In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth ex nihilo (out of nothing). After
God created the earth he made the adam out of the dust of the earth and by breathing into his nostrils
made the man living. Everything God created was Good, the man was also good but only with woman
was man complete. God created woman from the rib of Adam. Both Adam and his partner Eve were
both placed in the Garden of Eden where they were to live and eat from, everything in the Garden
except from the Tree of Knowledge, Good, and Evil. However one day a serpent came to Eve and
asked made her question the command of not eating from the tree. The serpent told her that she could
have knowledge and become like God if she ate from the tree. Both Adam and Eve ate from the tree
and disobeyed God s divine command. God in turn cursed the serpent as well as Adam and Eve. He
told Adam that he would struggle and toil with the land and also that he will return to the dust just as
he was created from it. God had to punish Adam and Eve for the disobedient act from where human
corruption became apparent. After a British monk named Pelagius fled Italy in 409 to escape an

Music Industry Research Paper
Music Industry: Independent vs. Major Record Label
Music is at our fingertips. We can turn on a radio or select a song on a menu and it chimes back at you
the melody of the song you selected. A man named Scott de Martinville of the 18th century was
fascinated by the way photographs preserved images, and he felt as if he could do the same with
sound. The invention of the phonograph was the beginning of the music industry. Musicians could
now use a machine to record their sounds and then publish and dis tribute records. With records came
record labels, the leaders of the music business. Then just like everything else in a capitalist country it
became all about the money, rather than the music. The business aspect of music should be based off
of independent artistry in opposed to corporate wel fare.
Ludwig van Beethoven one of the most talented, prolific, and remembered composers of all time was
an independent artist. One has to wonder, how did composers/musicians make their money 150 years
before labels were established? Beethoven used the same methods as an inde pendent artist would
today. He would do live performances on piano or composing a large or chestra. These performances
would bring profit while expanding popularity just like modernized artists. Beethoven also found
profit in selling his sheet music, patronage, and being an instructor. This was the unintentional start of
independent music, and it continued to be this way until one man decided to industrialize the

Having fought some of the bloodiest action of WWI, Owen wished to warn his English countrymen

writers glorify soldiers and battles in such a way that makes men want to be a part of the action .
These noble men march onwards with their heads held high, courage in their hearts and love for their

corrupted lungs/obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud/of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues (22

The Role Of Women In Trifles
In Trifles , Glaspell shows the oppression of women back in 1916 when the play was written. In the
play, Glaspell shows the roles of both men and women. To show how men treated women, what was
expected of the women, and how women overcame the patriarchal society that they were placed in.
Also, Trifles having an effect on the society it was based on and how the roles of women have evolved
over time. First of all, in Trifles , men acted towards the women just as they would back in 1916. The
men are seen as very dominating and they have little to no respect for women (School Helper). It is
shown in the play when Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Hale found the quilt Mrs. Wright was making and they
showed it to Mr. Henderson. They wonder if she was going to quilt it or just know it! (Glaspell). When
they showed Mr. Henderson the quilt, he mocked and laughed at them. Showing that he didn t care
about some quilt that could have been a big piece of solving the case. Also, the men in the play push
the women aside and demote the women when they try to help in the investigation (School Helper).
Mr. Hale and Mr. Henderson really don t care about the things women back then were accustomed to.
When Mr. Henderson asked Mr. Hale if anything was important to investigate in the kitchen, Mr. Hale
said, Nothing here but kitchen things (Glaspell). Proving they don t care about trifles. Second, Susan
Glaspell went into depth of the stereotypes women had in the twentieth century (Igl). That women

Civil War Weaponry
Ketchum Grenades
In August of 1861, William F. Ketchum patented the Ketchum Hand Grenade. Shortly after, in the
years of 1863 and 1864, the grenade was implemented in the American Civil War.
With a lemon shaped piece of iron and a tail made of paper or cardboard, the handheld explosive
greatly resembled a dart. On the front of the grenade s body was a plunger, which held a percussion
cap filled with explosive material. When the the grenade fell onto its nose and applied pressure to the
plunger, an explosion was triggered, only to be met by more gunpowder inside. Although the resulting
explosion caused a great deal of mayhem and shrapnel, it was not very reliable because its detonation
depended on the grenade falling directly onto its nose. Because of its temperamental behavior, the
grenade got a reputation for not being very accurate.
During its use by the Union army, the weapon was still in its earliest stages. Although the Confederate
army did not adopt this specific weapon, they had similar ideas such as the Raines grenade, which was
similar in appearance, but completely inadequate for battle. Instead of cardboard fins for a stable
flight, the Raines grenade had a cloth streamer.
Ketchums were used in several important battles such as the battle of Vicksburg and the siege of
Petersburg. Union soldiers threw the grenades at the Confederate troops and stood back for the
explosion. They were faced with an unpleasant surprise when the Confederates found a way to avoid

The Colossus Of Latin America
The United States has been a heavily involved in Latin American affairs for a long time, and there is
great controversy surrounding how good of a neighbor we have been. As the Colossus of the North ,
this country holds enormous power. The question is; have we used our power for good or for evil? At
times, we have been generous to Latin American countries. We returned the Panama Canal to the
Panamanians and created free trade with Mexico through NAFTA. However, the negative impact we
have had outweighs the good. Time after time, the United States has put dictators into Latin American
countries out of the fear of growing communism. We have meddled, taken the situations of our
neighbors into our own hands with force, and vilified them for situations like the drug trade dilemma
that are partially at the fault of the United States. Due to the selfish overstepping upon Latin American
governments, our discrimination and blame upon immigrants and foreigners as well as patronizing
actions like the Cuban embargo and the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine, the Colossus of
the North has historically been a poor neighbor to Latin American countries. During the Cold War Era,
anti communist countries like the United States took drastic measures to eliminate communism.
Tension spread worldwide and a lot of violence sprung from the feud between communist and anti
communist parties. Many Latin American countries in this time were under a communistic rule and
the United States did

Defect Correction Is The Remediation Of A Software Condition
Defect Correction
Defect correction is the remediation of a software condition or result that contradicts or does not meet
the needs of the software requirements (Defect, 2010). The agile test model is an automated and
efficient process for detecting requirements and functionality variations (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Also,
unit testing activities are performed earlier within the life cycle and defects are identified sooner
(Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). The early identification of defects minimizes the costs for defect correction or
rework (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). The accelerated timeframe allows teams to remediate defects before
functionalities are demonstrated or sent to the customer for user acceptance testing (Tarhan Yilmaz,
2014). Without incremental methods, as evident in the waterfall model, identified defects are unknown
until post customer delivery (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). As a result, the estimated costs for software
development are exceeded to remedy code defects or cover the expense of rework for issues that
customers identify post implementation (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Finally, post development defects may
result in the loss of customers given the impact and severity (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). An empirical
study of development models revealed that agile model performance was superior to that of waterfall
with respect to defect detection and cost control (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014).

Loggerhead Sea Turtles: Effects of climate change on the population of sea turtles.
Abstract
The effects of climate change and global warming have severe effects on loggerhead sea turtles and
various other marine mammals. The rate of climate change goes far beyond the abilities of animals to
adapt to these drastic changes taking place around them in their habitats. These changes are predicted
to cause an extinction of many species over the next few decades. (SEE Turtles, 2015) The sea level
rises from melting glaciers, and ice caps are already resulting in the loss of nesting grounds of these
loggerhead turtles. Extreme weather that is also linked to climate change result in a chance for more
severe storms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Feldman et al. 2015) This in turn not only affects the temperatures on land, but also the oceans that
are home to many cetaceans (i.e. Dolphins and whales) as well as other marine life such as seals, and
turtles. Climate change is an issue that is linked to human influences.
The loggerhead sea turtle is an endangered species exposed to many anthropogenic hazards in the
Pacific. It is believed that pelagic longline fisheries pose one of the major risks for these loggerheads
but the effects such as human
induced global climate change have rarely been considered. (Chaloupka,
Kamezaki Limpus, 2008)
The effects of climate change have enormous impacts on sea turtles. One of them being that the rise in
sea level will disrupt turtle nesting beaches. Sea turtles usually return to the same site where they
hatch to repeat their ancient nesting ritual. These direct impacts of polar caps melting, and sea levels
rising, these beaches that were once nesting grounds are starting to disappear completely.
(Conserveturtles.org, 2015)
A case study that was carried out a few years ago states that since 2005, the caribbean region has lost
50 percent of its corals, mainly due to the effects caused by the increase of temperatures. From 1997 to
1998, mass bleaching is estimated to have caused severe effects to 16 percent of the world s coral
reefs. Even though signs of recovery have been seen in

Bearded Iris Research Paper
There is something majestic and magical about the Bearded Iris. The only color that can not be found
in this beautiful flower is bright red. The bulbs are easy to plant and they can spread rather quickly.
These perennials are hardy in US Zones 3 9, needing a freeze so they can go dormant. They need to be
planted in late summer or early fall. They like a sunny spot with at least six hours of full sun to help to
keep the rhizomes dry. They grow best in a neutral soil and only need granular fertilizer a couple time
a year. The best times to feed them is in the early spring and after they bloom. It s best to plant them
about 16 18 inches apart for good air circulation. They do not need mulching because constant
moisture will rot the rhizomes.

Social Media and Social Protest A growing body of literature examines the relationship between environmental protest and news media representation with special emphasis on how these formations relate to and affect the public and politics. The nature of our research is such that we are going to use a multitheoretical approach. Space does not permit to review all the work done on this matter, but we have selected various key perspectives needed for understanding the mechanisms of framing and media bias in the reporting of protest events. We briefly review the more relevant perspectives that have guided our assessment of the evidence and that were endorsed in our findings. Protest logic and mediation opportunity structure Various Studies have showed that media display an inherent bias against social protests, reflecting elite interests, primarily by focusing on incidents of violence rather than on the message these protest groups try to convey. Eldridge argues that what is being presented as neutral reporting is in fact an array of codes and practices which effectively rest upon a cultural imperative to hear the causes of disputes in one way rather than another , meaning that Media are not neutral unselective recorders of events (Oliver and Maney, 2000: 464) Mainstream media predominantly tend to focus on violence and on the spectacular rather than on the message being conveyed . • 15. Feminist Criticism In The Second Sex By Simone De Beauvoir Simone de Beauvoir is an incredibly influential French philosopher, writer, activist, intellectual, and social theorist. In 1949, she wrote what is perhaps her most noteworthy text, The Second Sex . In the novel, Beauvoir explores the notion of femininity and the history of the relationship between men and women, and makes the ambitious claim that One is not born, but rather becomes, Woman. (283) This bold statement has sparked the interest of many feminist activists and scholars, but for one to truly understand Beauvoir s work, one must ask, what does it mean? Although this statement is ostensibly simple, it holds great meaning and depth. Essentially, it signifies that women are taught to be women, by their mothers and by society, and are not simply born being society s definition of a woman. She exemplifies this on multiple occasions in her novel. In one instance, she writes, It is here that little girls first appear privileged. A second weaning, slower and less brutal than the first one, withdraws the mother s body from the child s embraces; but little by little boys are the ones who are denied kisses and caresses; the little girl continues to be doted upon... (285) Here Beauvoir shows that even from birth, the stereotype that girls are more delicate and fragile than boys is perpetuated by parents treating girls with more affection and delicacy. Since the imagery creates an ominous atmosphere it would then lead to the second dramatic purpose, to arouse the emotions of the audience. Darkness imagery is a very good tool for arousing the emotions of the audience. It enables people to create a mental picture of what they are reading. For example, Duncan and Macbeth were talking when Macbeth says aside, Stars, hide your fires! Let not light see my black and deep desires. When words like black and desire are put in that context it creates many horrible mental pictures about murders and fights which arouses peoples emotions. Ross is later talking with an old man when he states By the clock `tis day, and yet dark night strangles the traveling lamp. In other words; although, the sun should be out, something is blocking the light. This example of darkness imagery creates an eerie feeling in the reader because it is very abnormal for the sun to be blocked. To help this example of imagery, the sun can also symbolize a monarch or king. Another case of darkness imagery happens when Lady Macbeth and a messenger are talking and Lady Macbeth states, That my keen knife see not the wound it makes, nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark to cry, Hold, hold! Netflix was founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in Los Gatos, California (Hosch). In the late 1990 s, Netflix started to offer an online subscription service through the Internet, which changed the way we viewed movies and shows. In the mid 2000 s, Netflix mailed DVDs to their subscribers, and once the customer was done watching they would mail it back to Netflix. However, it was not until 2007, that Netflix began streaming options through the Internet. By 2012, Netflix was expanding their brand beyond the United States (Hosch). Netflix has battled off these companies by keeping their costs low, always having a new variety of shows and movies to watch and still making a large profit for themselves. The IT/IS system is helped by this because they are always updating, adding, and removing content from their website, as well as improving the layout and making it more user friendly with their recommended tabs and the ability to show the consumer what they might want to watch based off of what they are currently watching or what they have watched in the past. Threat of Substitute Products and Services The threat of substitute products and services causes a company s goods and services to be threatened by other company s similar goods and services. For example, Netflix s threats of substitutes are social media and cable television. Social media is a similar product to Netflix, but causes Netflix to lose business, because customers are being entertained by Instagram, and Snapchat, rather than watching Netflix. Netflix s information system collects data based on customers activeness on Netflix s application. The inactivity of customers causes Netflix to lose money and subscribers. A large amount of men are unable to understand what type of masculinity they fit into and what they want to fit into. In Gurmeet S. Kanwal s article from Psychology Today: The masculinity crisis, male malaise, and the challenge of becoming a good man he says that, the perception and image of heterosexual men in this country has never been as negative, de idealized, and potentially harmful as it is now. And lots of men are feeling it. Men are now feeling that they do not fit into or do not want to fit into popular masculinity. This is similar to the way American men were feeling about masculinity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is similar to how men feel now; they believe they can do more than society accepts them to do. An example would be where a man would want to be the stay at home dad and take care of the children, where it may seem outlandish now, will most likely become easily accepted in the future. History points toward progressive changes in equality for both genders after rough receptions of new ideas of how they can act. These ties into my thesis that new masculinities will be established which in time will become accepted by society just as it has happened in the past. The wanting for a new type of masculinity to fit into by males is only fueled by the male malaise that has been spreading recently, in Kanwal s article there are many examples of this. The Atlantic came out with an issue where the cover had an article titled The End of Men by Hanna Rosin. She discusses how men have been the dominant sex since the beginning of humanity, but that it is now changing to women who will start gaining dominance, and how that only two of the fifteen growing jobs in the future, men have a larger representation of. This sends a blow to the idea that men should be the breadwinners, and makes men feel inept to be financially supportive. It only gets worse with articles such as Are Fathers Necessary? by Pamela Paul, in which she states that there is nothing essential about men s contribution to their children. • 26. Analysis Of The Poem The Of Mendoza Utilises Onofre... It is fair to say that Mendoza utilises Onofre Bouvila as a character to be portrayed as a direct parallel to the development and aspirations of Barcelona. This is due to the fact that, he can never be on the top table of the social ladder literally and figuratively, due to his impoverished upbringing and working class background. corrió hacia la mesa presidencial... Therefore, one can surmise that Barcelona will never be able to consider it as the most significant and influential city in Spain. This is mainly due to the fact that, it has the smaller population and is not the capital city. This is further illustrated with Onofre at the end of the book. When Onofre disappears on his flying machine it is Mendoza s method to demonstrate to the reader that Onofre has given up on his aspiration of achieving the highest echelons of the social ladder in Spain. This could be Mendoza s intention to show that Barcelona s aspiration to escape the suppression by the hands of Madrid is dissipating. Los que alertados por el ruido de los motores habían salido a los balcones o habían subido a los terrados vieron cómo la máquina voladora desviaba sur umbo hacia el mar, como si la empujara un viento repentino de poniente. This shows us that Mendoza is trying to tell the reader that what happened to Onofre is not important to us. This could be a criticism by Mendoza, about the vociferous nature of which Barcelona and Catalonia attempt to gain independence from Spain. He achieves this denigration by displaying Catalonia s cries for independence as falling on deaf ears. According to identitytheft.info, almost 15 million Americans have their identity used fraudulently due to information leaks and information insecurities. With the growing dependency on computer systems to store confidential information across the world, it is only necessary that that the information be protected by strong security systems which include both hardware and software so that both the businesses and the consumers feel safe in the transportation of information over the inter webs. Contemporary Information security systems use many different components involving both hardware and software Primarily, User Access Control or UAC systems are combinations of identification, authentication, and authorization that helps restrict users to what information they can access in a database system with certain read and write rights. Most of the identification systems operate by using a simple serial ID followed by an identity challenge such as a password (Blanding F. 2004). UAC is the most fundamental access control technology as without it, there cannot be further information systems. Within the UAC system, the system administrator designates users rights and accesses which helps develop the login authentication aspect. We can turn on a radio or select a song on a menu and it chimes back at you the melody of the song you selected. A man named Scott de Martinville of the 18th century was fascinated by the way photographs preserved images, and he felt as if he could do the same with sound. The invention of the phonograph was the beginning of the music industry. Musicians could now use a machine to record their sounds and then publish and dis tribute records. With records came record labels, the leaders of the music business. Then just like everything else in a capitalist country it became all about the money, rather than the music. The business aspect of music should be based off of independent artistry in opposed to corporate wel fare. Ludwig van Beethoven one of the most talented, prolific, and remembered composers of all time was an independent artist. One has to wonder, how did composers/musicians make their money 150 years before labels were established? Beethoven used the same methods as an inde pendent artist would today. He would do live performances on piano or composing a large or chestra. These performances would bring profit while expanding popularity just like modernized artists. • 43. Civil War Weaponry Ketchum Grenades In August of 1861, William F. Ketchum patented the Ketchum Hand Grenade. Shortly after, in the years of 1863 and 1864, the grenade was implemented in the American Civil War. With a lemon shaped piece of iron and a tail made of paper or cardboard, the handheld explosive greatly resembled a dart. On the front of the grenade s body was a plunger, which held a percussion cap filled with explosive material. When the the grenade fell onto its nose and applied pressure to the plunger, an explosion was triggered, only to be met by more gunpowder inside. Although the resulting explosion caused a great deal of mayhem and shrapnel, it was not very reliable because its detonation depended on the grenade falling directly onto its nose. Because of its temperamental behavior, the grenade got a reputation for not being very accurate. During its use by the Union army, the weapon was still in its earliest stages. Although the Confederate army did not adopt this specific weapon, they had similar ideas such as the Raines grenade, which was similar in appearance, but completely inadequate for battle. Instead of cardboard fins for a stable flight, the Raines grenade had a cloth streamer. Ketchums were used in several important battles such as the battle of Vicksburg and the siege of Petersburg. Union soldiers threw the grenades at the Confederate troops and stood back for the explosion. They were faced with an unpleasant surprise when the Confederates found a way to avoid any ... • 44. The Colossus Of Latin America The United States has been a heavily involved in Latin American affairs for a long time, and there is great controversy surrounding how good of a neighbor we have been. As the Colossus of the North , this country holds enormous power. The question is; have we used our power for good or for evil? At times, we have been generous to Latin American countries. We returned the Panama Canal to the Panamanians and created free trade with Mexico through NAFTA. However, the negative impact we have had outweighs the good. Time after time, the United States has put dictators into Latin American countries out of the fear of growing communism. We have meddled, taken the situations of our neighbors into our own hands with force, and vilified them for situations like the drug trade dilemma that are partially at the fault of the United States. Due to the selfish overstepping upon Latin American governments, our discrimination and blame upon immigrants and foreigners as well as patronizing actions like the Cuban embargo and the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine, the Colossus of the North has historically been a poor neighbor to Latin American countries. During the Cold War Era, anti communist countries like the United States took drastic measures to eliminate communism. Tension spread worldwide and a lot of violence sprung from the feud between communist and anti communist parties. Many Latin American countries in this time were under a communistic rule and the United States did ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Defect Correction Is The Remediation Of A Software Condition Defect Correction Defect correction is the remediation of a software condition or result that contradicts or does not meet the needs of the software requirements (Defect, 2010). The agile test model is an automated and efficient process for detecting requirements and functionality variations (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Also, unit testing activities are performed earlier within the life cycle and defects are identified sooner (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). The early identification of defects minimizes the costs for defect correction or rework (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). The accelerated timeframe allows teams to remediate defects before functionalities are demonstrated or sent to the customer for user acceptance testing (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Without incremental methods, as evident in the waterfall model, identified defects are unknown until post customer delivery (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). As a result, the estimated costs for software development are exceeded to remedy code defects or cover the expense of rework for issues that customers identify post implementation (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Finally, post development defects may result in the loss of customers given the impact and severity (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). An empirical study of development models revealed that agile model performance was superior to that of waterfall with respect to defect detection and cost control (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Estimation Estimation is the process by which teams provide an assessment of the level of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. The Effects Of Climate Change On The Population Of Sea... (B00717759) Word Count1626 Loggerhead Sea Turtles: Effects of climate change on the population of sea turtles. Abstract The effects of climate change and global warming have severe effects on loggerhead sea turtles and various other marine mammals. The rate of climate change goes far beyond the abilities of animals to adapt to these drastic changes taking place around them in their habitats. These changes are predicted to cause an extinction of many species over the next few decades. (SEE Turtles, 2015) The sea level rises from melting glaciers, and ice caps are already resulting in the loss of nesting grounds of these loggerhead turtles. Extreme weather that is also linked to climate change result in a chance for more severe storms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Feldman et al. 2015) This in turn not only affects the temperatures on land, but also the oceans that are home to many cetaceans (i.e. Dolphins and whales) as well as other marine life such as seals, and turtles. Climate change is an issue that is linked to human influences. The loggerhead sea turtle is an endangered species exposed to many anthropogenic hazards in the Pacific. It is believed that pelagic longline fisheries pose one of the major risks for these loggerheads but the effects such as human induced global climate change have rarely been considered. (Chaloupka, Kamezaki Limpus, 2008) The effects of climate change have enormous impacts on sea turtles. One of them being that the rise in sea level will disrupt turtle nesting beaches. Sea turtles usually return to the same site where they hatch to repeat their ancient nesting ritual. These direct impacts of polar caps melting, and sea levels rising, these beaches that were once nesting grounds are starting to disappear completely. (Conserveturtles.org, 2015) A case study that was carried out a few years ago states that since 2005, the caribbean region has lost 50 percent of its corals, mainly due to the effects caused by the increase of temperatures. From 1997 to 1998, mass bleaching is estimated to have caused severe effects to 16 percent of the world s coral reefs. Even though signs of recovery have been seen in ... • 47. Bearded Iris Research Paper There is something majestic and magical about the Bearded Iris. The only color that can not be found in this beautiful flower is bright red. The bulbs are easy to plant and they can spread rather quickly. These perennials are hardy in US Zones 3 9, needing a freeze so they can go dormant. They need to be planted in late summer or early fall. They like a sunny spot with at least six hours of full sun to help to keep the rhizomes dry. They grow best in a neutral soil and only need granular fertilizer a couple time a year. The best times to feed them is in the early spring and after they bloom. It s best to plant them about 16 18 inches apart for good air circulation. They do not need mulching because constant moisture will rot the rhizomes. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
