Sweden is located in Northern Europe on the Peninsula bordering Norway and Finland. Sweden is the

The education standards in Sweden are similar to the United States. The education begins in day care

Remember The Titans Segregation
Remember The Titans is a great football movie, and an even better civil rights movie. The movie
shows how TC Williams handled desegregation and how the football team brought the community
together. When the white players and black players came together for the first time, they did not get
along. Coach Herman Boone took the team to a camp, and the players started to get along. When the
players went back to school, they experienced the racism all over again. Eventually, the team helped
the school and community get over the desegregation. The movie takes place in 1971, and TC
Williams High School was one of the first high schools in the area to desegregate. The type of
segregation that the school had was de facto, which means that blacks and whites could go to school
together. However, there were still segregated schools because the kids in a neighborhood went to
school together, and the neighborhoods were usually full of people of one race. Brown vs. Board of
Education was an event that led to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most important part of the trip was that the players became close to each other and the team was a
family. Coach Boone made all of the players learn about each other and become comfortable with
each other. The camp was also essential for conditioning and learning plays. Seeing how hard the
players were pushed, you can tell that they would be in very good shape. There was a big difference of
how the team was when they boarded the bus to go to the camp, and when they arrived home. I think
that going to the camp was one of the biggest reasons for the teams success. In conclusion, Remember
the Titans was a very powerful movie. It was very enjoyable to watch, and is personally one of my
favorite movies. Remember the Titans shows how a football team helps their community overcome
the integration of blacks into TC Williams High School. I would highly recommend this movie to
anybody, even if they didn t like

The Coach Research Paper
Sports are a form of entertainment, whether it is playing them or watching them. Yet part of the
entertainment is also the audience. The fans can have a large impact on the game itself as well as your
experience. We all have that one friend who is way too competitive, whether it involves sports or just
who finishes eating first. They cannot choose what things to be competitive at, for that nature is in
their blood. The Coach is the most competitive player out of the fans. In a game, you will scarcely, see
them sit down, and they are so competitive that they act as if they are actually playing the game. They
could be sitting as high as the nosebleed seats and shouting at the players, telling them what to do, as
if the players could somehow hear them. Yet they are being obnoxious to the people around them, for,
unfortunately, they can hear them quite clearly. Coaches are essentially the backseat drivers of sports.
The next fan we have is the complete opposite of a Coach, hence the quotation marks. Phonies come
for the experience, not for the game. Phonies often come wearing all of the team s gear, yet it is all for
the aesthetics and for the sports façade. You may think that the game is on their phone because that is
what they ll spend most of their time watching. Unlike the Coach, others will not notice or pay much
attention to Phonies, yet you will know they were there because it will be posted on social media or
other public accounts. Coaches tend to be stubborn and close minded, so not much bothers them.
Except for the Rookie. Rookies are the bane of Coaches. Unlike Phonies, they are genuinely interested
in the game. Unfortunately, they know little to nothing about the sport, and the people to suffer are the
ones like Coaches. They are constantly asking questions about how it works and what s going on in
the game, preventing others from fully enjoying and experiencing the game. Unlike Coaches, Rookies
do not bother the rest of the fans, but only the ones they are close with. One good thing about Rookies
is that they are honest. Followers also are not completely familiar with the game, yet they try to be
discreet about it. They go with the flow of the crowd, yet you

The Islamic Finance and The Sukuk Market
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
1.1 OVERVIEW
The Islamic finance industry has been evolving and growing rapidly for the past decade. The recent
global financial meltdown has open opportunity to Islamic finance to offer a new outlooks and
effective solutions to economics problems. Economists are now looking to the east, learning lessons
and seeing advantage of Islamic finance. Since then, serious research on Islamic financial system has
been carried out and Islamic financial system has been an interesting area of discussion.
Today, Islamic finance has shown impressive performance with the Islamic finance industry s assets
are estimated to have amounted to $1.8 trillion as at end 2013, recording an over 16% y o y growth
according to KFH Research. In a newly released report Islamic Finance Outlook 2014 by Kuwait
Finance House Research Limited (KFHR), the Islamic finance industry is forecasted to continue to
chart tremendous double digit growth rates across all sectors, with total industry assets estimated to
reach approximately $2.1 trillion as at end 2014.
The Sukuk market has been one of the most popular sectors in Islamic finance over the past few years.
According to Zawya, 2011 was a record year for these relatively young assets which reached $84.4
billion. In 2012 Sukuk issuance is already shaping up to be a record year with $68 billion issued in the
first half, an increase of 55% over the same period of 2011. Sukuk is an Islamic alternative of

Land Destruction By Tourist Attractions
Land Destruction by Tourist Attraction Beaches are used as a tourist attraction. Coral reefs are an
example of marine life endangered by this idea. Though coral reefs are beautiful to view, boats on top
of the coral can destroy and hit the reefs. This is a big problem because coral reefs are home to
millions of marine life. According to the book, Destroying the Oceans, coral reefs are home to one
quarter of Earth s marine animals and plants . With that, many habits are also destroyed. Sea turtles are
not only affected by pollution, but they are also affected by tourist attraction. On September 5 in Costa
Rica, a group of tourists prevented sea turtles from nesting along the coastline. The sea turtles are
protected by the Ostional Wildlife Refuge. Due to the high volume of tourists of that day, the refuge
was unable to prevent the disaster from happening. Some tourists touched the turtles, others stood on
top of the nests, and parents placed their children on top of the turtles to take photographs (L. Arias).
Human beings need to learn how to respect animals. Global Warming Due to our mass pollution to the
atmosphere, humans are the main cause of global warming. Since the beginning of the 1900s, the
average surface temperature of Earth has risen by 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit (Levete). Global warming
leads to temperature change. Iceberg and glaciers are melting at a rapid rate. This will cause sea level
to rise. The Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets lost an average of

Health Care Spending Health care spending in the United States is the highest then in any other
country. According to Kane (2012), the Organization for Economic Co operation and Development

practicing physicians in the U.S. per 1,000 people. The average for OECD was 3.1, the U.S. fell well
below. In 2012 $8,233 was spent on health care per year per person, this was two and a half times
more than most of the developed nations in the world (Kane, 2012). This paper will discuss the level

2.). Eighty five percent of the total national health spending accounts for personal health care
spending, which increased by 3.9 percent in 2012, 0.4 percentage points faster than in 2011 (
(Gnadinger, 2014, para. 3). Faster growth was impacted mostly in hospital, physician and clinical
services. To offset this acceleration was a slower growh in spending for perscription drugs and nursing
home care. Health care payers spending varied as well in 2012. The medicaid and out of pocket
spending grew faster in 2012 than in 2011, but growth in private health insurance and Medicare
spending was a little slower. The national health spending is still continuing to grow faster then our
economy. It is projected to increase from 18 percent to about 25 percent by 2037. Even with the ACA
in effect, the federal health spending is estimated to increase from 25 percent of total federal spending
to about 40 by 2037 (Marcus, 2012, para. 2).
Is Spending too Much or not Enough There has been an ongoing debate over if there is too much
being spent on health care or if there is not enough. From a personal thought, there is no such thing as
an amount that should be spent on healthcare. This is an opinion based statement, no one will agree on
an amount that should be spent. The Congressional

The Ant And The Dung Beetle Essay
People are more or less the same apart from our social, political, and cultural environments. Culture is
part of what we fundamentally are; therefore if that differs between humans then aren t we all different
because of our cultures and backgrounds? Culture is the core element that branches off to create all the
little differences that make each of us a unique individual. We are very different from each other to the
point where even the language used to communicate to one another varies from one group of people to
another based on cultures and ethnicity. This can be seen very clearly through our actions, and more
specifically, through the stories told to children growing up; fables. The fables La Cigale et la Fourmi,

The third tale Zeus and the Ant, a Greek fable, is but one example of this. The story goes that a man
was greedy and stole from his neighbors crops. Angered by this, Zeus turned him into the first ant.
Nevertheless to this day, the ant still takes from others, storing the food for his own use. The very first
link from the fable to the Greek culture is the use of the King of the Greek Gods. The story shows that
the almighty Zeus is the most powerful and will punish when punishment is needed. This puts the
belief of the Greek Gods into the minds of children from an early age through story telling. Moreover,
the ant, which is usually perceived as good and hard working, is made the antagonist of the tale. This
is because the ant is seen as a greedy pest instead of the wise insect that that other cultures view it as.
Greek culture sees the intelligence in the ant when it gathers its food, however notices the theft
occurring in the process. As a result, this proves Greece s intolerance for thievery and stealing. The
final element of this story that links to the Greek culture is the language. Told in Greek, the story is
able to reach the children of Greece, and they are able to grasp the important lessons and values
hidden in the

Selfishness In The World Is Too Much With Us
Conquer Selfishness
Addressing one of the world s worst problems, the poem The World Is Too Much With Us tells a great
warning. Even being written in 1802, William Wordsworth s poem still applies to our day and age
because of repeating trends. However dark or gloomy the poem got, Wordsworth showed there is light
in the end of the tunnel if we heed his warning and do something about it. Seeking to change the norm
of our tenancy to be selfish, the poet dared to say the world was out of tune with nature and life itself.
The people of the world need to recognize that nature is yelling out to us for something greater than
just average everyday living. Warning us to help nature, not trash it or our lives, Wordsworth

The title The World Is Too Much With Us literally means the poet cannot handle the earth anymore
because how secular it has become. The world refers to the profane part of earth, and too much with
us just means we have been around it so long we do not even recognize how bad we have become.
Furthermore, the tone of the poem is very demanding of it s reader because of how forced his
communication is. Even confusing in some parts, the main message about being too secular comes
across directly in every line. Making sure his warning radiated, leaving an impact, Wordsworth said he
would rather change his religion to a pagan, so that way he could see something divine going on.
Though there are many parts of the poem where great thought has to be put into it, the message is still
clear as glass, and the title follows the theme

The School to Prison Pipeline
Four kids, each under the age of 18 were sentenced as adults for 6 11 years in prison before DNA
evidence proved them all innocent. You all probably remember Trayvon Martin, who was walking
home, pursued by a neighborhood watch captain for having a suspicious appearance, and then fatally
shot. You might know of Philando Castile, who was pulled over for a broken tail light, and was also
shot by police while reaching for his ID, his death then broadcast live over facebook as he bled out.

Minimum sentencing combined with the war on drugs brought a scythe through the black
communities, literally cutting off men from their families, huge chunks just disappearing into the
prison systems for really long times. We re not only talking about fathers. We re talking about fathers
being put away with their sons with their brothers and with their cousins. So many broken families.
72% of African Americans have or are being raised by a single parent. So who is their positive role
model? It s not their mother, she s away all day working double shifts. Its not their father, he s in
prison. It s not their teachers, not only are they white but they are also teaching in impersonal over
crowded schools. Suddenly African American kids start looking up to gangbangers who have nice
cars, and nice clothes. This is why one in three African Americans born in 2001 can expect to go to
prison in their lifetime.
The odds are overwhelmingly stacked against African Americans. And because of this they feel a
sense of hopelessness for the future. As if there is nothing they could do to rise out of their realities.
And to a certain extent, this is true. Think about redlining. Think about the inequality in the
workplace. Think about unfair voting ratios between black and whites, diminishing the black voice.
Now combine this and the fact that African American

The Disregard Of Human Life
The Disregard for Human Life Present in Wartime In Paul Rusesabagnia s, An Ordinary Man: An
Autobiography, he tells his story of working in a hotel and turning this hotel into a refuge for over a
thousand men, women, and children. He turned the hotel into a refuge to provide safety for targeted
groups during an ethnic cleansing. Rusesabagnia shows his view son genocide during war, or the
disregard for human life, by stating: A sad truth of human nature is that it is hard to care for people
when they are abstractions, hard to care when it is not you or somebody close to you. Unless the world
community can stop finding ways to dither in the face of this monstrous threat to humanity those
words Never Again will persist in being one of the most abused phrases in the English language and
one of the greatest lies of our time. As he possibly implies by stating this, this quote conveys that war
poses a disregard for human life through differential belief systems concerning topics such as, racial,
political, and religious groups; and, this can be seen in literature relating to wars of all times. Although
wars are all fought for reasons, they all share a common theme of the disregard for human life. This
common theme is experienced through events like genocide or ethnic cleansings, and illustrate the
extent that men will go to in order to persecute others according to their beliefs. Through pictures from
major events in World War II, the vast disregard for life is shown by

Medgar Evers College Risk Management
Risk management is a process for identifying, assessing and prioritizing risks of different kinds. Once
the risks are identified, the risk manager will create a plan to minimize or eliminate the impact of
negative events. A variety of strategies is available, depending on the type of risk and the type of
business. There are a number of risk management standards including those developed by the Project
Management Institute the International Organization for Standardization the National Institute of

The creative process includes brainstorming sessions where the team is asked to create a list of
everything that could go wrong. All ideas are welcome at this stage with the evaluation of the ideas
coming later.
Risk identification more disciplined process involves using checklists of potential risks and evaluating
the likelihood that those events might happen on the project. Some companies and industries develop
risk checklists based on experience from past projects. These checklists can be helpful to the project
manager and project team in identifying both specific risks on the checklist and expanding the
thinking of the team. The past experience of the project team, project experience within the company,
and experts in the industry can be valuable resources for identifying.
Qualitative risk analysis the reason that a qualitative method is more commonly used than a
quantitative method is because of the difficulty of assigning monetary values to assets, calculating the
percentage of damage that could be endured and deriving the probability of frequency of a threat
becoming realized.
Quantitative risk analysis uses percentages formulas and monetary values. The most commonly
known and understood formulas are the single loss expectancy and the annualized loss expectancy
methods.
Risk response planning is the process of developing options to minimize threats and maximize

My Little Sister, By Lizbeth Galarza
Dear teacher, allow me to provide you with some insight on who my little sister, Lizbeth Galarza, truly
is. At first glance, she might look like every other Ecuadorian girl with her thick dark brown hair,
deep, small brown eyes, and her short legs; but don t let that fool you her small legs have already
taken her so far in life. At 15 years old, she has learned to identify herself as being both Ecuadorian
and American and being proud of both parts of her, which wasn t so easy for her. She has achieved this
by being surrounded by two completely different environments, one at home and the other at school.
Being Ecuadorian has helped my sister out since the early stages of her life. This was most evident
when as a baby my mother made sure she swaddled her as tightly as she could so in the future she
would have a straight back and know how to stand straight in order to hold her head up high when
facing those who tried to discourage her. Because my mother knew that being latin and coming from a
big family, her little girl was not only going to have to face the judgment of people who thought they
were better than her simply based on race but she would also have to face the judgment of those
closest to her who would judge her because she didn t meet their now obsolescent expectations of who
she was supposed to grow into. My mother also made sure Lizbeth knew how lucky she was for
having all these opportunities to become whatever she wanted in life. As a baby, my sister was

Comparison of the Seven Samurai and Magnificent Seven Essay
The 1954 movie The Seven Samurai, directed by Akira Kurosawa, and its 1960 remake The
Magnificent Seven, directed by John Sturges have many similarities; for example, the plot of both
movies entails farmers hiring mercenaries to help fend off bandits that annually pillage their farms.
The two movies also have differences like the characterization of the bandits in The Magnificent
Seven as opposed to The Seven Samurai.
One of the main similarities between the Seven Samurai and Magnificent Seven is the plot. In both
movies bandits annually pillage a small village and the farmers are left with barely enough food to
survive. In the Magnificent Seven Calvera and his men actually stop in the town and talk to the
farmers, however, in Seven ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once the mercenaries arrive, in both movies, all the farmers are hiding because they think the
samurai/gunslingers are just as bad as the bandits and they hid all their women in fear that they would
seduce them. As time progresses though the farmers begin to trust the samurai/gunslingers and are
trained how to fight. Unlike in The Seven Samurai the bandits in The Magnificent Seven actually
talked with the gunslingers and tried to persuade them to join their group, but to no avail, and the
battle was started. The fighting in both the movies is pretty much the same with little battles occurring
over a three day period until the final battle.
In Magnificent Seven one of the farmers, having doubts about winning, let the bandits in the village
when the gunslingers were out and when they returned they were forced to leave the village by the
bandits, but they decided to go back and fight for the farmers despite their deception. In Seven
Samurai only two samurai survived, and in Magnificent Seven three gunslingers actually survived but
only two left the village because Chico decided to stay and become a farmer again. The main
similarities between these two movies was the plot and the main characters were basically the same,
but the main difference was the bandits were shown with a lot more personality in The Magnificent
Seven unlike in Seven Samurai where the

Physical Therapy Experience
Hello everyone, The physical therapist first encounter with a patient often serves as a telltale of what
to expect and how to go about the therapeutic relationship. The initial contact with a patient gives the
therapist an impressive view of the tip of the iceberg, in a way it provides important gauges on how to
navigate to and around a patient s persona. PTs should be cognizant of the premise that the mind and
body are inseparable, and these two realms work in synergy to define a person s current health status.
In our day to day practice, patients are referred to physical therapy due to their physical impairments
and disability. With a life changing event as a result of a health condition patient may manifest signs
and symptoms of impaired mental wellness depression. As Fair (2011) has elucidated, diagnosing a

A shorter period of depression resulting from a life changing event or crisis characterizes adjustment
disorders and presents with a better prognosis compared to major depressive, depressive disorder not
otherwise specified (NOS) and dysthymic disorder (Haggman, Maher, Refshauge, 2004). The group
where AD is most commonly diagnosed is those of the population with physical illness (Casey, 2014)
which we often see in our clinical practice. It is believed to be a transient situational personality
disturbance that will resolve over time when the stressor is resolved. Symptoms to look for AD are
low mood, sadness, worry, anxiety, insomnia, poor concentration, loss of self esteem, hopelessness,
feeling trapped, having no good options, and feeling isolated or cut off from others (Frank Bienenfeld,
2014). As we can see these symptoms would have a substantial impact on a patient s ability to

Essay on Research In Clinical Practise
Research In Clinical Practise
Introduction to Portfolio
The research articles to be critiqued relate to the author s area of practice; community nursing and in
particular; the cost effectiveness of community leg ulcer clinics. The author currently manages a leg
ulcer clinic and an insight into the research underpinning their cost effectiveness would be of benefit
in her quest to deliver evidence based practice in line with the principles underpinning clinical
governance.
Management of venous leg ulcers had advanced considerably over the last decade. This is due to
various factors from greater knowledge of the aetiology of leg ulceration to more recent
developments, such as dedicated leg ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nursing has been striving to become a research based profession since the Briggs Report (1972) and
the lack of apparent integration of research findings into nursing practice has been lamented
consistently ever since (Walsh and Ford, 1989). As long ago as 1989 the Department of Health (DoH),
in their Strategy for Nursing stated; All clinical practice should be founded on up to date information
and research findings.
Practitioners should be encouraged to identify the needs and opportunities for research presented by
their work. Research is fundamental to achieving evidence based practice in nursing. Evidence based
health care aims to promote clinical and cost effective care/treatment through the explicit,
conscientious, and judicious use of the currently available best evidence from research to guide
decisions (Sackett et al, 1996).
Recently, there has been an increasing emphasis on evidence based practice. The NHS information
strategy, the development of the NHS net and the National Electronic Library for Health all testify to
the NHS commitment of bringing research evidence closer to clinical decision makers (Thompson et
al 2001). Journal based initiatives are also available such as Evidence Based Nursing (Cullum et al.
1997) and Clinical Effectiveness in Nursing (Newell 1997). Furthermore, guidance can be found in
publications such as NICE (National Institute

In maternal child health in the United States and feasibly throughout the world, preterm birth is
currently the most important problem and is the most significant challenge to modern obstetrics.
According to the World Health Organization, a preterm birth is defined as birth before 37 completed
weeks of gestation. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2014) estimated that 1 in 9
infants born in United States are preterm babies. Preterm related reasons of death together accounted
for 35% of all infant deaths in 2010, more than any other single cause. Preterm birth is also a foremost
cause of long term neurological disabilities in children. Preterm birth costs the U.S. health care system
more than $26 billion in 2005 (CDC, 2014). Preterm birth is a condition triggered by several
etiologies, one of which is a drop in progesterone action, which makes cervical ripening. A
sonographic short cervix (identified in the midtrimester) is a dominant forecaster of spontaneous

Nature Versus Nurture Has Been A Big Debate In The Past
Nature versus nurture has been a big debate in the past few years. Debates and arguments from both
sides has its own statements which makes their side stronger. Some argue that it is in the genetics if a
person is intelligent where some state the opposite, that surroundings make a person intelligent which
improves them in a person mentally and physically. In the 1950s psychologist Harry Harlow studied
the effects of maternal deprivation on the development of baby monkeys. Some philosophers such as
Plato and Descartes suggested that certain things are inborn (Saul McLeod, 2007), or that they occur
naturally regardless of environmental influences. Other examples of nature debates were Bowlby s
1969 theory of attachment likewise Chomsky s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The dizygotic twins show a higher correlation than their other siblings even when reared apart
supporting the theory that nature does have a major influence on human intelligence. Nurture
intelligence is another factor which is still unfolded. Some believe that upbringing a child in a proper
environment can effect their mood, body and their views towards to world. If someone s brought up in
an environment where he or she gets all the facilities and necessities of daily life, it will help through
the entire life, in saying that if the person receives the correct surroundings, family support, supportive
friends circle, it can help them throughout the journey of life. Family habits, interests and company of
good people as mentioned above will leave a significant effect on the person s development. The
nature theory holds the genetic influence over abstract traits however, the environmental factors are
the real origins of our behaviour. We want to be according to the environment around us. At the end
we are still confused which way is right nature or nurture since both sides have valid reasons to be
right. Some traits come to us by genes and some we experience through travelling and experiencing
different situations in our lifetime, which is a proven fact. Nurture helps shape our intelligence in the
sense that what surrounds us is what we end up liking and

A Brief Look at a Legionnaire s Equipment
A brief look at a legionnaire s equipment
Very few empires throughout history have rivaled the resplendence and sheer size of the Roman
Empire at its peak. The height of the empire was achieved in the year 117 ad with a size of 6.5 million
sq. km. One of the defining factors that allowed the romans to have such successful conquests and to
maintain such a large empire is the standardization of equipment that its troops had to abide by. The
quality of the equipment was another factor that played a role in their success.
Roman weaponry
Each roman soldier was fitted with similar equipment, the primary weapon of each was their Gladius
they also had a Pugio for their spare weapon. Depending on the era they would have had 6 plumbata s
clipped to the inside of their shield or Pilum on their back for throwing.
A Gladius is a short sword ranging from 50 to 60 cm long. Gladii were double edged with a sharp
point for thrusting, making them very versatile weapons. Their hilts were composed of bone or
hardwood usually and knobbed to increase the soldiers grip on the weapon. In combat soldiers
primarily used their weapons for stabbing at stomach height, but could inflict grisly injury s as a
slashing weapon as well. The Gladius was used for many years before finally being replaced towards
the end of the Roman Empire by the Spatha.
During the later years of the Roman Empire the Gladius was replaced with the Spatha. A Spatha
measured .75 to 1m long which allowed for a longer reach for the

Ridgway Argumentative Essay
It takes a lot to rip apart a town. It takes a lot to ravage a community, particularly one as tightly knit as
Ridgway, Pennsylvania. Nestled snugly at the southeastern edge of Allegheny National Forest,
Ridgway s population has dipped to just below four thousand in recent years, though in its 191 years
of settlement, it s never once been called home by more than roughly six thousand people at once. Its
proximity to the forest attracts huntsmen and hikers alike, but unless one were actively looking for the
town the square mileage of which comes in at just over two and a half miles, total it would be
remarkably easy for Ridgway to not make a blip on someone s radar at all. It s small, out of the way,
and most of all, quiet a recipe for insignificance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This time, the victim was a man in his early twenties, and he was discovered, wrapped haphazardly in
a plastic tarp identical to the one the first body had been found in, in the bushes outside of the one

committed by the same people, due to the fact that the victims were of different genders and had been
disposed of in entirely different locations, but they were eventually forced to admit that all signs
pointed to their sleepy little Pennsylvanian town having a potential serial killer on their hands. When
the story broke in the local newspaper, the killer had received an official pseudonym: the Ridgway
Ripper. Later, when the man responsible for bringing so much tragedy to such a small town was
apprehended and a face and a name were given to this pseudonym, the majority of the town continued
to call him the Ripper. No one would dare say it out loud, but everyone knew that it was because it
was simply easier that way. It was easier to pretend that something else, something inhuman, could be

Capssaicin Research Paper
Capsaicin is a chemical that is found in chili peppers which causes the heat when you eat spicy foods.
In order to detect the capsaicin that is found in the foods that you eat, your body has receptors on
sensory neurons. The receptors are known as capsaicin receptors and found in the dendrites of the
sensory neurons better known as nociceptors. (Caterina) When your body receives that feeling of pain
or heat, it is due to capsaicin receptor recognizing capsaicin, but also the ability of the capsaicin
receptor to act as an ion channel, which is found in a category known as the transient receptor
potential channels. (Fox) Capsaicin will stimulate and excite the capsaicin receptor. When the receptor
is excited it allows the entrance of Calcium (Ca+2) and Sodium (Na+). (Fox) When the calcium and
sodium rush into the cell it will cause the cell to depolarize. Once the cell depolarizes, it will cause the
action potential. The action ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

As capsaicin is binding to the receptors the nerve cells are stimulating that pain sensation. (How to

Walt Disney Corrupts
Disney is a lie. Why? This corrupt company brainwashes consumers into handing over their hard
earned money in order to purchase overpriced merchandise, all while under a facade of innocence and
happiness. Fairy tale endings and a cheerful mouse might represent Disney s projected values, but
underneath the exterior lay indicators of Disney s corrupt ideals. Common people are deceived into
handing over their hard earned money to corrupt companies in order to purchase overpriced products.
The power that these companies gain allows these businesses to control, to a certain extent, politics
and influence political decisions. These companies will not hesitate to fire American workers in order
to save a handful of dollars and stifle any trace of dissent. Therefore, large corporate companies
should stop exploiting and manipulating consumers for profit. Disney s entertainment influences

Disney spent around $2.5 million on support for Republicans and their campaign in 2012 because of
the anti Florida casino stance of Republican state legislators. Holding influence over potentially
powerful legislators would decrease the chance of more casinos appearing in southern Florida, which
would detriment Disney s profit from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida (Zara). Furthermore,
Walt Disney, the founder of Disney, imposed his political beliefs by marketing films and rides that
promoted the development and deployment of atomic bombs, a highly controversial issue during the
1960s. As Giroux writes in his book The Mouse that Roared, Disney played a formidable role in
convincing every school child that atomic energy was central not merely to winning the Cold War but

Amendments Act, which expanded the law to prohibit discrimination based on disabilities and family

In Wilson (2011) research, he say there are two types of cultural forces which are national view and
beliefs on race and cultural traits that emerge from patterns of intragroup interaction in setting created
by discrimination and segregation. Since racism, it has been believed that whites are more superior
than blacks. This played a major role because black isolated themselves from other communities and
are comfortable with staying in one area. One effect of living in a racially segregated neighborhood is
the expose to group specific cultural traits, (Wilson 2011). These cultural traits include habits, fashion
styles, dancing, type of music listened to, behavior skills and more. A person, typically African
American will have more street smarts than a person from a suburb. Wilson (2011) says that although
cultural traits such as street smarts can prevent individuals from being harmed in their neighborhoods,
it can prevent them from performing well on a job interview. Culture can impact the outcome and

Colonial Rule Of Independence And Independence
At independence, all states have the option to retain or abolish appeal to the JCPC. Assuming that a
colony s goal at independence is to free itself from the colonial power s control, why would a state
decide to retain a colonial institution that is an important to the POGG of an independent state? I posit
that states desire a final appellate court that is likely to uphold and legitimize the policies of the nation
s governing elite. The length and type of colonial rule influence the national governing elite s decision
about the final appellate court at independence. Some states that retain the right of appeal to an
extraterritorial court at independence later abolish the right, while others continue to allow appeals to
this extraterritorial court. This mutability raises two additional questions. First, why do we see
variations in the length of time some states retained those ties after independence? Second, why do
some states ultimately decide to abolish appeals to the JCPC and establish a domestic ultimate appeals
court? I posit that states that retain appeals to the JCPC at independence may later decide to abolish
appeals if they perceive a divergence between the state s policies and the JCPC that reduces the
likelihood that the JCPC will uphold and legitimize the state s policies. A disconnect between the
decisions of the JCPC and the state s policies may emerge over time, leading the governing national
coalition to take steps to abolish that right of appeal.

Ah knows uh few things, and womenfolks thinks sometimes too! Aw naw they don t. They just think

when she fought back with her tongue as best as she could, but it didn t do her any good. It just made
Joe do more. He wanted her submission and he s keep on fighting until he felt he had it. (Hurston 71)
(E) In this passage, Hurston effectively conveys the struggle of control and the roles of gender in a
relationship. The dominating figure of the relationship is the man, Jody, who oppresses her and
exercises his power over her in order to boost his social reputation and to retain the control in the
relationship. Men are capable of proving their dominance by belittling and disrespecting women, who
are deemed as the less stronger and more delicate ones in the relationship. These beliefs are held by
Jody, as he deems women less intelligent than men, because they see ten things and don t understand
one. Janie, opposing these traditional values set by their society, has a different viewpoint, believing
that women can be smart and ambitious. As much as she challenges him and invalidates his
arguments, Jody does not care about a fair argument, and he only retaliates further. In their
relationship, her verbal fight is no match against his physical dominance over her, which

Sexual Connotation In Roland Barthes s The Death Of The...
Roland Barthes essay the Death of the Author (1968) marks the transition from structuralism to
poststructuralism , in which he celebrates the demise of the author as ushering in an era of joyous
freedom (Barry 65) granted to the literary text and its reading. The text becomes an open ended and a
polysemic discourse, and as such open to multiple meanings. He favours the essential verbal condition
of literature , in which the role of the reader is that of something who holds together in a single field
all the traces [intertextuality included] by which the written text is constituted (Leitch 1324 25). His
poststructuralist perspective makes him see a text s unity lying not in its origin (an author), but its
destination (a reader). In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the process of occurrence of writing, Barthes sees, the reader as experiencing the intensities, the
pleasure of the text, the erotics of reading texts that are always coming into being. Barthes equates the
reading experience, so often, with a kind of orgasmic , thus, giving it hedonistic or say inherent sexual
connotation .
In his essays From Work to Text and Theory of the Text Barthes contrasts the traditional author based
notion of The Work with The Text , and state that while a work can be held in the hand and seen on the
shelves of libraries and bookshops, the text only exists when it is produced by the new reader . To him
the Text is experienced only in an activity, in a production (Barthes cited in Allen 83).
To Barthes, as has been pointed out, the text is a kind of woven or spun fabric seen as made up of
quotations, references, and echoes . Never the less, this intertextual weave is potentially infinite in the
sense that when we come to deal with the text we find it as if it has been something already written
and the already said . The new reader of the text notices that the quotations a text is made of are
anonymous, irrecoverable, and yet already read: they are quotations without quotation marks (Barthes
cited in Allen

Rhetorical Language In Apollo 11
What I will be doing in this essay is using all my knowledge of rhetorical language and analyze four
pieces of literature. Over the past weeks I have learned many skills and what makes up a good
persuasive piece and what doesn t make a good persuasive piece and I will put all my knowledge
about rhetoric language to use. The four pieces I will be analyzing are all related to the Apollo 11
mission, which took place in 1969 which put humans on the moon for the first time,I will discuss the
purpose, how it adjusts to their own audience they are trying to appeal to, how the speaker and subject
affects the text, how it appeals to pathos, ethos, and logos , and finally if it is effective in
accomplishing its purpose.
The first text I will be analyzing is a news article from the Times of London reporting the event. It was
made right after the moon mission on a 5 a.m. edition of the paper. The landing of the shuttle was at
3:39 a.m.and Neil Armstrong took his first steps at 3:56 a.m. so the newspaper was made shortly right
after. It was made for the citizens of London to give more information about the Apollo 11 mission
and moon landing and talked about all the big things that happened. The speaker, occasion, and
subject all effect the text by making it informational and providing the citizens with the big
information that happened. It got into people s emotions by creating hype and making it seem like a
huge deal with starting off with the details and getting more intense with

Benefits Of Genetically Modified Organisms ( Gmos ) Essay
Life on earth began approximately 3.5 billion years ago and, since the rapid diversification of most
major living phyla (known as The Cambrian Explosion), evolution has given rise to an extraordinarily
diverse range of life forms. Evolution has resulted in various species with a wide range of traits, each
with the potential to be utilized by human kind. By modifying these organisms through cross breeding
and artificial selection to create crops with desirable traits, the agriculture industry has found a way to
produce essential food crops and a way to feed the world .
In the 1970s, Morrow et al. developed a technique that allowed them to cut DNA from one organism
and splice it with the DNA of another and thus modern biotechnology was born. Today, it is possible
to sidestep the relatively slow process of evolution by modifying genes of plants and animals in the
lab. Presently, such modifications allow for pest and herbicide resistance; faster crop production; more
nutritious food sources; and even disease resistance .
Despite these purported benefits of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), there is considerable
debate surrounding their use. In the public sphere, beliefs concerning GMO tend to be dominated by
two markedly opposing narratives and it seems that one can only be in one of two camps:
I. Critics of GMO: Arguing that the use of GMO is not justified as it is unnatural, unsafe, and may
have long term environmental impacts.
II. Advocates of GMO: Arguing that

In making this comment, UNESCO is also agreeing that the Atlantic slave trade was so cruel that they

slave trade was so intense that the Natives, Africans and people from the Caribbean islands were
affected.
Next, the Europeans soon developed a strong demand for gold in their economy (UNESCO). Which
made them more destructive and violent towards the Natives. First off, some spaniards use their
matureness as an advantage for the Natives to give them whatever they want. In this case, gold or
religion. Some spaniards have no more consideration for them than beasts ((Bartolome de Las

something they crave. Furthermore, they re getting more violent once they realize what the Indians
have. According to Bartolome de Las Casas, their reason for killing and destroying such an infinite
number of souls is that the Christians have an ultimate aim, which is to acquire gold, and to swell
themselves with riches... (Bartolome de Las Casas). The Europeans don t deserve any special
celebration since they already got their respect from any Indians since they willingly suffered and
gave up gold. To sum up, the Europeans are being greedy and spending out all their savings isn t a

  • 3. Remember The Titans Segregation Remember The Titans is a great football movie, and an even better civil rights movie. The movie shows how TC Williams handled desegregation and how the football team brought the community together. When the white players and black players came together for the first time, they did not get along. Coach Herman Boone took the team to a camp, and the players started to get along. When the players went back to school, they experienced the racism all over again. Eventually, the team helped the school and community get over the desegregation. The movie takes place in 1971, and TC Williams High School was one of the first high schools in the area to desegregate. The type of segregation that the school had was de facto, which means that blacks and whites could go to school together. However, there were still segregated schools because the kids in a neighborhood went to school together, and the neighborhoods were usually full of people of one race. Brown vs. Board of Education was an event that led to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most important part of the trip was that the players became close to each other and the team was a family. Coach Boone made all of the players learn about each other and become comfortable with each other. The camp was also essential for conditioning and learning plays. Seeing how hard the players were pushed, you can tell that they would be in very good shape. There was a big difference of how the team was when they boarded the bus to go to the camp, and when they arrived home. I think that going to the camp was one of the biggest reasons for the teams success. In conclusion, Remember the Titans was a very powerful movie. It was very enjoyable to watch, and is personally one of my favorite movies. Remember the Titans shows how a football team helps their community overcome the integration of blacks into TC Williams High School. I would highly recommend this movie to anybody, even if they didn t like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. The Coach Research Paper Sports are a form of entertainment, whether it is playing them or watching them. Yet part of the entertainment is also the audience. The fans can have a large impact on the game itself as well as your experience. We all have that one friend who is way too competitive, whether it involves sports or just who finishes eating first. They cannot choose what things to be competitive at, for that nature is in their blood. The Coach is the most competitive player out of the fans. In a game, you will scarcely, see them sit down, and they are so competitive that they act as if they are actually playing the game. They could be sitting as high as the nosebleed seats and shouting at the players, telling them what to do, as if the players could somehow hear them. Yet they are being obnoxious to the people around them, for, unfortunately, they can hear them quite clearly. Coaches are essentially the backseat drivers of sports. The next fan we have is the complete opposite of a Coach, hence the quotation marks. Phonies come for the experience, not for the game. Phonies often come wearing all of the team s gear, yet it is all for the aesthetics and for the sports façade. You may think that the game is on their phone because that is what they ll spend most of their time watching. Unlike the Coach, others will not notice or pay much attention to Phonies, yet you will know they were there because it will be posted on social media or other public accounts. Coaches tend to be stubborn and close minded, so not much bothers them. Except for the Rookie. Rookies are the bane of Coaches. Unlike Phonies, they are genuinely interested in the game. Unfortunately, they know little to nothing about the sport, and the people to suffer are the ones like Coaches. They are constantly asking questions about how it works and what s going on in the game, preventing others from fully enjoying and experiencing the game. Unlike Coaches, Rookies do not bother the rest of the fans, but only the ones they are close with. One good thing about Rookies is that they are honest. Followers also are not completely familiar with the game, yet they try to be discreet about it. They go with the flow of the crowd, yet you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Land Destruction By Tourist Attractions Land Destruction by Tourist Attraction Beaches are used as a tourist attraction. Coral reefs are an example of marine life endangered by this idea. Though coral reefs are beautiful to view, boats on top of the coral can destroy and hit the reefs. This is a big problem because coral reefs are home to millions of marine life. According to the book, Destroying the Oceans, coral reefs are home to one quarter of Earth s marine animals and plants . With that, many habits are also destroyed. Sea turtles are not only affected by pollution, but they are also affected by tourist attraction. On September 5 in Costa Rica, a group of tourists prevented sea turtles from nesting along the coastline. The sea turtles are protected by the Ostional Wildlife Refuge. Due to the high volume of tourists of that day, the refuge was unable to prevent the disaster from happening. Some tourists touched the turtles, others stood on top of the nests, and parents placed their children on top of the turtles to take photographs (L. Arias). Human beings need to learn how to respect animals. Global Warming Due to our mass pollution to the atmosphere, humans are the main cause of global warming. Since the beginning of the 1900s, the average surface temperature of Earth has risen by 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit (Levete). Global warming leads to temperature change. Iceberg and glaciers are melting at a rapid rate. This will cause sea level to rise. The Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets lost an average of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Current National Health Care Spending Health Care Spending Health care spending in the United States is the highest then in any other country. According to Kane (2012), the Organization for Economic Co operation and Development (OECD) there are less physicians per person than in other OECD countries. For example there was 2.4 practicing physicians in the U.S. per 1,000 people. The average for OECD was 3.1, the U.S. fell well below. In 2012 $8,233 was spent on health care per year per person, this was two and a half times more than most of the developed nations in the world (Kane, 2012). This paper will discuss the level of current national health care spending, whether this spending is too much or not enough, if the nation should add or cut funds, and how the public s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 2.). Eighty five percent of the total national health spending accounts for personal health care spending, which increased by 3.9 percent in 2012, 0.4 percentage points faster than in 2011 ( (Gnadinger, 2014, para. 3). Faster growth was impacted mostly in hospital, physician and clinical services. To offset this acceleration was a slower growh in spending for perscription drugs and nursing home care. Health care payers spending varied as well in 2012. The medicaid and out of pocket spending grew faster in 2012 than in 2011, but growth in private health insurance and Medicare spending was a little slower. The national health spending is still continuing to grow faster then our economy. It is projected to increase from 18 percent to about 25 percent by 2037. Even with the ACA in effect, the federal health spending is estimated to increase from 25 percent of total federal spending to about 40 by 2037 (Marcus, 2012, para. 2). Is Spending too Much or not Enough There has been an ongoing debate over if there is too much being spent on health care or if there is not enough. From a personal thought, there is no such thing as an amount that should be spent on healthcare. This is an opinion based statement, no one will agree on an amount that should be spent. • 12. The Ant And The Dung Beetle Essay People are more or less the same apart from our social, political, and cultural environments. Culture is part of what we fundamentally are; therefore if that differs between humans then aren t we all different because of our cultures and backgrounds? Culture is the core element that branches off to create all the little differences that make each of us a unique individual. We are very different from each other to the point where even the language used to communicate to one another varies from one group of people to another based on cultures and ethnicity. This can be seen very clearly through our actions, and more specifically, through the stories told to children growing up; fables. The fables La Cigale et la Fourmi, a French take on The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The third tale Zeus and the Ant, a Greek fable, is but one example of this. The story goes that a man was greedy and stole from his neighbors crops. Angered by this, Zeus turned him into the first ant. Nevertheless to this day, the ant still takes from others, storing the food for his own use. The very first link from the fable to the Greek culture is the use of the King of the Greek Gods. The story shows that the almighty Zeus is the most powerful and will punish when punishment is needed. This puts the belief of the Greek Gods into the minds of children from an early age through story telling. Moreover, the ant, which is usually perceived as good and hard working, is made the antagonist of the tale. This is because the ant is seen as a greedy pest instead of the wise insect that that other cultures view it as. Greek culture sees the intelligence in the ant when it gathers its food, however notices the theft occurring in the process. As a result, this proves Greece s intolerance for thievery and stealing. Even being written in 1802, William Wordsworth s poem still applies to our day and age because of repeating trends. However dark or gloomy the poem got, Wordsworth showed there is light in the end of the tunnel if we heed his warning and do something about it. Seeking to change the norm of our tenancy to be selfish, the poet dared to say the world was out of tune with nature and life itself. Furthermore, the tone of the poem is very demanding of it s reader because of how forced his communication is. • 17. The Disregard Of Human Life The Disregard for Human Life Present in Wartime In Paul Rusesabagnia s, An Ordinary Man: An Autobiography, he tells his story of working in a hotel and turning this hotel into a refuge for over a thousand men, women, and children. He turned the hotel into a refuge to provide safety for targeted groups during an ethnic cleansing. Rusesabagnia shows his view son genocide during war, or the disregard for human life, by stating: A sad truth of human nature is that it is hard to care for people when they are abstractions, hard to care when it is not you or somebody close to you. Unless the world community can stop finding ways to dither in the face of this monstrous threat to humanity those words Never Again will persist in being one of the most abused phrases in the English language and one of the greatest lies of our time. As he possibly implies by stating this, this quote conveys that war poses a disregard for human life through differential belief systems concerning topics such as, racial, political, and religious groups; and, this can be seen in literature relating to wars of all times. Although wars are all fought for reasons, they all share a common theme of the disregard for human life. At first glance, she might look like every other Ecuadorian girl with her thick dark brown hair, deep, small brown eyes, and her short legs; but don t let that fool you her small legs have already taken her so far in life. At 15 years old, she has learned to identify herself as being both Ecuadorian and American and being proud of both parts of her, which wasn t so easy for her. She has achieved this by being surrounded by two completely different environments, one at home and the other at school. Being Ecuadorian has helped my sister out since the early stages of her life. This was most evident when as a baby my mother made sure she swaddled her as tightly as she could so in the future she would have a straight back and know how to stand straight in order to hold her head up high when facing those who tried to discourage her. Because my mother knew that being latin and coming from a big family, her little girl was not only going to have to face the judgment of people who thought they were better than her simply based on race but she would also have to face the judgment of those closest to her who would judge her because she didn t meet their now obsolescent expectations of who she was supposed to grow into. Assuming that a colony s goal at independence is to free itself from the colonial power s control, why would a state decide to retain a colonial institution that is an important to the POGG of an independent state? I posit that states desire a final appellate court that is likely to uphold and legitimize the policies of the nation s governing elite. Some states that retain the right of appeal to an extraterritorial court at independence later abolish the right, while others continue to allow appeals to this extraterritorial court. This mutability raises two additional questions. First, why do we see variations in the length of time some states retained those ties after independence? Second, why do some states ultimately decide to abolish appeals to the JCPC and establish a domestic ultimate appeals court? I posit that states that retain appeals to the JCPC at independence may later decide to abolish appeals if they perceive a divergence between the state s policies and the JCPC that reduces the likelihood that the JCPC will uphold and legitimize the state s policies. The dominating figure of the relationship is the man, Jody, who oppresses her and exercises his power over her in order to boost his social reputation and to retain the control in the relationship. Men are capable of proving their dominance by belittling and disrespecting women, who are deemed as the less stronger and more delicate ones in the relationship. Janie, opposing these traditional values set by their society, has a different viewpoint, believing that women can be smart and ambitious. As much as she challenges him and invalidates his arguments, Jody does not care about a fair argument, and he only retaliates further. In their relationship, her verbal fight is no match against his physical dominance over her, which ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Sexual Connotation In Roland Barthes s The Death Of The... Roland Barthes essay the Death of the Author (1968) marks the transition from structuralism to poststructuralism , in which he celebrates the demise of the author as ushering in an era of joyous freedom (Barry 65) granted to the literary text and its reading. The text becomes an open ended and a polysemic discourse, and as such open to multiple meanings. He favours the essential verbal condition of literature , in which the role of the reader is that of something who holds together in a single field all the traces [intertextuality included] by which the written text is constituted (Leitch 1324 25). His poststructuralist perspective makes him see a text s unity lying not in its origin (an author), but its destination (a reader). In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the process of occurrence of writing, Barthes sees, the reader as experiencing the intensities, the pleasure of the text, the erotics of reading texts that are always coming into being. Barthes equates the reading experience, so often, with a kind of orgasmic , thus, giving it hedonistic or say inherent sexual connotation . In his essays From Work to Text and Theory of the Text Barthes contrasts the traditional author based notion of The Work with The Text , and state that while a work can be held in the hand and seen on the shelves of libraries and bookshops, the text only exists when it is produced by the new reader . To him the Text is experienced only in an activity, in a production (Barthes cited in Allen 83). To Barthes, as has been pointed out, the text is a kind of woven or spun fabric seen as made up of quotations, references, and echoes . Never the less, this intertextual weave is potentially infinite in the sense that when we come to deal with the text we find it as if it has been something already written and the already said . The new reader of the text notices that the quotations a text is made of are anonymous, irrecoverable, and yet already read: they are quotations without quotation marks (Barthes cited in Allen ... • 36. Rhetorical Language In Apollo 11 What I will be doing in this essay is using all my knowledge of rhetorical language and analyze four pieces of literature. Over the past weeks I have learned many skills and what makes up a good persuasive piece and what doesn t make a good persuasive piece and I will put all my knowledge about rhetoric language to use. The four pieces I will be analyzing are all related to the Apollo 11 mission, which took place in 1969 which put humans on the moon for the first time,I will discuss the purpose, how it adjusts to their own audience they are trying to appeal to, how the speaker and subject affects the text, how it appeals to pathos, ethos, and logos , and finally if it is effective in accomplishing its purpose. The first text I will be analyzing is a news article from the Times of London reporting the event. It was made right after the moon mission on a 5 a.m. edition of the paper. The landing of the shuttle was at 3:39 a.m.and Neil Armstrong took his first steps at 3:56 a.m. so the newspaper was made shortly right after. It was made for the citizens of London to give more information about the Apollo 11 mission and moon landing and talked about all the big things that happened. The speaker, occasion, and subject all effect the text by making it informational and providing the citizens with the big information that happened. It got into people s emotions by creating hype and making it seem like a huge deal with starting off with the details and getting more intense with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Benefits Of Genetically Modified Organisms ( Gmos ) Essay Life on earth began approximately 3.5 billion years ago and, since the rapid diversification of most major living phyla (known as The Cambrian Explosion), evolution has given rise to an extraordinarily diverse range of life forms. Evolution has resulted in various species with a wide range of traits, each with the potential to be utilized by human kind. By modifying these organisms through cross breeding and artificial selection to create crops with desirable traits, the agriculture industry has found a way to produce essential food crops and a way to feed the world . In the 1970s, Morrow et al. developed a technique that allowed them to cut DNA from one organism and splice it with the DNA of another and thus modern biotechnology was born. Today, it is possible to sidestep the relatively slow process of evolution by modifying genes of plants and animals in the lab. Presently, such modifications allow for pest and herbicide resistance; faster crop production; more nutritious food sources; and even disease resistance . Despite these purported benefits of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), there is considerable debate surrounding their use. In the public sphere, beliefs concerning GMO tend to be dominated by two markedly opposing narratives and it seems that one can only be in one of two camps: I. Critics of GMO: Arguing that the use of GMO is not justified as it is unnatural, unsafe, and may have long term environmental impacts. II. Advocates of GMO: Arguing that ... In making this comment, UNESCO is also agreeing that the Atlantic slave trade was so cruel that they were killing the Natives with their cruelty even before they became slaves. In conclusion, the Atlantic slave trade was so intense that the Natives, Africans and people from the Caribbean islands were affected. Next, the Europeans soon developed a strong demand for gold in their economy (UNESCO). Which made them more destructive and violent towards the Natives. First off, some spaniards use their matureness as an advantage for the Natives to give them whatever they want. In this case, gold or religion. Some spaniards have no more consideration for them than beasts ((Bartolome de Las Casas).Bartolome de Las Casas is saying that the spaniards are getting really greedy for getting something they crave. Furthermore, they re getting more violent once they realize what the Indians have. According to Bartolome de Las Casas, their reason for killing and destroying such an infinite number of souls is that the Christians have an ultimate aim, which is to acquire gold, and to swell themselves with riches... (Bartolome de Las Casas). The Europeans don t deserve any special celebration since they already got their respect from any Indians since they willingly suffered and gave up gold. To sum up, the Europeans are being greedy and spending out all their savings isn t a good idea because the only thing that comes out with being ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
