The experiments took place in researchers area and the chamber 1 of the IEQ Lab (shown in Figure 1),
the volume of which is 157m³ (8.85m×6.85m×2.60m) and the floor area is approximately 60㎡.
During the experiment, the ambient temperature was kept at 27.5 ± 0.1℃. The mean radiant

At this time last year, I would have considered all music before the 20th century to be classical.
However, after taking a Dual Credit Music Appreciation course, I realized that old music cannot
simply be grouped into a single category. There are so many differences that I had no idea existed.
Throughout the years, music has changed and evolved, meeting the needs of listeners and performers.
Different composers have been catalysts in this change as they have developed new styles and genres.
Even though the classical period is directly subsequent of the baroque period, baroque and classical
music have countless different qualities and characteristics. The baroque period of music commenced
in the year 1600 and ended around 1750 (Fuller Baroque ). Its texture was mainly polyphonic (Fuller
Classical ). Polyphonic means that two or more different melodies are played simultaneously
(McComb). This provides an energetic rhythm, long melodies, and many ornaments. The most famous
composers of this time period were Vivaldi, Corelli, Monteverdi, Purcell, Handel, J.S. Bach, and
Couperin. Many new styles of music were introduced, such as operas, sonatas, oratorios, suites,
fugues, and concertos. Orchestras began to develop, but it was not until the classical period when
orchestral music was perfected (Fuller Baroque ). In 1750, the classical period of music started, and it

This paper is an analysis of my family history in Bowenian terms. I will examine four generations on
my side of the family. I have included a genogram in the appendix to examine my personal
intergenerational patterns for assessment. I will also examine my family of origin in the categories of
race, ethnicity, religion, social class, geographic location, jobs, mental health and medical concerns.
