Different Kinds Of Pollution
BreeAnna Grantz

December, 1
What are the different kinds of pollution? There are so many different kinds of pollution like; air
pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, thermal pollution, radioactive pollution, noise pollution, and
light pollution, but the most common two we hear about is water pollution, and air pollution those are
the ones we have to figure out how to fix the most because they are causing the most danger and
problems for us. There are a lot of different kinds of pollution, some that most people probably don t
even know exist. Every kind of pollution has an impact on us, the environment and the animals
surrounding us, everyone individually should do what they can to reduce their pollution habits. Air
pollution is when harmful chemicals are put into the air. Most of the air pollution in the usa is caused
by the burning of fossil fuels such as; coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline. Why do we continue to burn
these knowing what it does to the environment? We continue to burn these harmful chemicals because
they bring us electricity and they power our vehicles. To reduce air pollution we can do a few different
kinds of things. We can conserve energy, meaning remember to turn off lights and other devices when
not in use. Use energy efficient light bulbs and other appliances. Limit driving by carpooling, public
transportation, biking, or walking, and Choose environmentally friendly cleaners only. Water pollution
is when harmful

Alfred Hitchcock And Psycho And Peter Shaffer
Alfred Hitchcock in the film Psycho and Peter Shaffer in his stage production Equus both explore the
true nightmares that manifest from sexual and emotional repression. The writers emphasise the
motives and the reason for the characters actions opposed to how the causations of this repression
occurred. Conversely, both works draw on the common theme of the disturbed human psyche, offering
a critical perspective on the upbringing of each individual with regards to their early development,
each characters subcontious fixations and abnormal behaviours through the use characters behaviours
and representations. The characters Norman Bates and Marion Crane in Psycho and Allan Strang and
Martin Dysart of Equus all face internal struggles against ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is seen to when Shaffer displays Alan, front and in centre in order to intensify the effect bringing
true significance to his actions. Alan is seen to thrash himself as he chants, Flankus begat Spankus.
And Spankus begat... By Shaffer placing Alan in this position audience is drawn away from Frank
presenting the scene and is drawn to Alan as the audience is in horror as Alan presents his ritualistic
behaviour. The nouns Flankus and Spankus all have symbolistic features all linking back to horses,
moreover, this is further interconnected through the symbolism displayed through the bridle . By
Alans new found god, he appeals to Franks ideals of a disinterest of Christianity. Although, by the
chanting and ritualistic recreation of the martyrdom of Jesus Christ through self punishment and
torture, Alan succeeds in fulfilling the religious worship and ideologies that Dora wants Allan to
follow.
Further to this sexual and emotional repression, both Shaffer and Hitchcock realise the explosive and
unsafe nature possessed by the characters in indescribable and unknown behaviours. Equus portrayal
of the Alan Strang s infatuation with horses indicates the filtration and display of emotions through a
widely accepted activity by society. Alan s adoration for with the horses however is his key link to his
sexual repression as Alan describes how his horse Nugget left sweat on [his] legs from [his] neck and
that Nuggets sides were all warm. The

Australia s Economic Growth
Economic growth
An increase in the capacity of an economy to produce goods and services, compared from one period
of time to another.
Inflation is a general increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money.
The growth of an economy is thought of not only as an increase in productive capacity but also as an
improvement in the quality of life to the people of that economy.
For comparing one country s economic growth to another, GDP or GNP per capita should be used as
these take into account population differences between countries.
How is it measured?
GDP (Gross domestic product) is the sum of the market values, or prices, of all final goods and
services produced in an economy during a period of time.
It is the monetary value of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Selfishness Of Edna Priestley s The Vanities
The Selfishness of Edna Pontellier
Though some may see the actions taken by Edna as justified, I feel that she was in no way justified in
her actions. In the realm of the social situation in the story, she acted selfishly and disregarded her
duties as a mother and a wife. She threw away a perfectly fine life for no reasons beyond her own
selfishness, and abandoned her family. However, in terms of the romantic tones of the story, she freed
herself from her perceived bondage and lived the life she wanted to live.
This idea of freedom counteracts the view of Edna as a selfish individual and presents her in a more
positive light. In this view, the author presents Edna as strong minded woman who wants to live the
life that she feels she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He struggled to compensate his wife with material affection in order to compensate for the lack of
emotional support. While this may not be a viable solution to the problem, it cannot be denied that he
was trying to combat the various problems they had between them. Even though it could be
understood that she would be upset by her husband lacks family skills, getting married was completely
Edna s fault. Their relationship has had a rocky history that is far from perfect. Chopin states her
marriage to Léonce Pontellier was purely an accident... He fell in love...and pressed his suit with an
earnestness and an ardor which left nothing to be desired. He pleased her; his absolute devotion
flattered her (18). Edna was not fair to him when she married him without loving him. She grew fond
of her husband (18), but this fondness alone is not a good reason for marriage. One could argue that
Leonce was a domineering, controlling man who viewed Edna as a part of his vast wealth. However,
Léonce simply did not know how to express his love and concern for Edna, or his family, in any way
other than with money. His life can be seen as stressful due to his job as well as his endless worrying
over his money; as such he has little energy to care for his wife and children. He tries as hard as
possible, but just lacks family and communication skills. Just because he cannot express his love

Sports Injury Prevention
Every athlete experiences at least one injury, from something as little as a pulled muscle to something
as serious to a ligament tear. As a result of sports injuries, many star players have been sitting on the
bench rather than getting into the game. A solution to this problem is a sports injury prevention
program. Sports injury prevention programs have many beneficial effects on athletes, both mentally
and physically. Sports injury prevention is a program that will help educate students about how to take
care of their bodies, reduce injuries, and keeping not only themselves but others safe while playing
sports. Sports injury prevention programs should be incorporate in training because they are important
not only for athletes but for coaches ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One way that the body can be affected by infection is muscles weakness. The muscles become weak
because they are not getting the energy and nutrients needed to keep the athlete healthy. Another way
that infections can affect the body, is when they cause decreased flow of fluids to the body. This may
cause athletes to feel dehydrated or light headed while performing sports. The importance of learning
about personal hygiene because will stop the spread of bacteria, especially in contact sports. What
students should learn about in sports personal hygiene is to not share towels, razors, water bottles, and
equipment with each other. This can spread infections. Some ways to prevent infections are practicing
to wash hands frequently and thoroughly and taking care of the skin by taking showers daily to
prevent skin infections. In sports, skin infections are spread first by skin injuries, such as chafing, turf
burns, and abrasions. When not properly taken care of, the injury can get infected and turn into skin
infections. When teammates (especially in contact sports) touch the skin injury, bacteria gets passed
around which then spread the infections to other athletes, the same skin injury. This is why athletes
must make sure to have good personal hygiene is a part of their plans to keep

Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake
Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake. The eastern Massasauga is a small thick bodied venomous
rattlesnake, averaging a length of about 2 feet. It is grey or light brown with large chocolate brown
botches on its back and sides. The eastern Massasauga rattlesnake has been a candidate species for
listing under the Endangered Species Act since 1999 (64 FR 57535 57547, December 25, 1999)
(USFWS 2015t).
The preferred habitat for this species are wet areas such as river bottomlands, floodplains, wet prairies,
and marshes. However, relatively drier habitats are often used in summers. They feed primarily on
small rodents, but may also consume frogs, other snakes, and nesting birds. Breeding generally occurs

Sample Based Music Plagiarism Essay
I intend to look into the ethics of sample based music and music plagiarism in the use of making
music and the benefits of sampling music or borrowing from other artists to help generate a creative
spark. Some may also argue that the quality of the music may have suffered due to this, this maybe
true but is it only a problem that lies within sample based music or has music on the whole suffered?.
Musical borrowing is a pervasive aspect of musical creation in all Genres and all periods.

The vast storehouse of existing public domain music means that many of those choices have been
exhausted (Margit Livingston* and Joseph Urbinato** p227)
We also add to the mix that there are only so many notes in a scale, so many chords and progressions
in a sequence so with that added fact there is sometimes going to be similarities when writing new
western music compositions. Our brains seems to have been predominantly hard wired to 4x4 beats
with the standard i iv v vi chord progressions with repetitive melodies and bass lines and a verse
chorus verse arrangement so no mater what genre of western music you are writing most will be based
around this kind of formula resulting in similarities sometimes whether intentionally or not.
In conclusion id say that you can never get away from Musical plagiarism, it has always been there
and will continue to be there, sampling is just another form of creating music and where as there are
still a lot of issue surrounding sample clearance and it being a very murky area still I think it has its
positives far out weigh the negatives in relationships of the creative practice, getting ideas down and

problem with traditional music i.e. music played with conventional instruments and happens more

The Use Of Hypnosis And Its Effects On The Brain
Hypnosis has proven to involve much activity in the brain. It is much more than a person obeying,
there are underlying mechanisms in the brain that are still being studied today.
Evidence
Hypnosis has been used for a variety of reasons. Two categories it is used a lot in are addiction and
phobias. With the use of hypnosis, a person can connect the addiction to something extremely
distasteful which in turn makes the person not want to participate in the action anymore. Or hypnotism
can change the mindset of a person with an extreme fear so that they no longer associate that fear with
the object or action. Three studies were reviewed, a 2007 study on smoking cessation, a 2006 study on
dental phobia, and a 2007 study on needle phobia. A study by Carmody, Duncan, Simon, Solkowitz,
Huggins, Lee, and Delucchi (2007) researched different hypnosis interventions and then chose the one
they believed would be the most helpful and compared it to behavioral counseling. Both of the
treatments also had nicotine patches. The intervention was geared to heighten the commitment to stop
smoking as well as prevention. The hypnosis session included suggestion and guided imagery. Their
study consisted of 265 men and women that smoked at least 10 cigarettes a day and wanted to quit.
137 of those participants received hypnosis while 128 went through behavioral counseling.
The hypnosis treatment group received two hour long face to face sessions provided by a public health
educator that was

The Hiding Place And Maus Comparison
Throughout modern history, various historical texts, personal accounts, and books have been
published regarding the devastating events of World War 2 and the Holocaust. Two of the most
prominent novels written about the Holocaust are Maus and The Hiding Place. Maus is a graphic
novel illustrated by Arthur Spiegelman in 1980 and details the catastrophic effects of the Holocaust on
the Jewish survivors of it. Another notable book similar to Maus is The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten
Boom. The Hiding Place is a biography written and published in 1937 and details the story of a young
Christian family during World War 1. Throughout these accounts, contrasting themes are explored
such as love, anger, forgiveness, and guilt. Although there are various similarities, there are also
extreme differences in the characters responses to the Holocaust as well as the themes present within
both novels.

Pip s Perspectives on Social Classes in Great Expectations...
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens is a coming of age story written from December 1860 to 1861.
Great Expectations follows the life of Phillip Pirrip, self named Pip; as his infant tongue could make
of both name nothing longer or more explicit than Pip. So, I called myself Pip, and came to be called
Pip. (I, Page 3) The story begins with Pip as a young child, destined to be the apprentice of his
blacksmith brother in law, Joe Gargery. After spending time with an upper class elderly woman, Miss
Havesham and her adopted daughter, Estella, Estella, with whom he has fallen in love, he realizes that

Joe called Pompeyed, or (as I render it) pampered. (VII, Page 39) This affection to the trade and his
parentage starts to fade as Pip enters his teenage years. After Pip has spent time with Miss Havesham
and Estella, Pip realizes that becoming the apprentice to the blacksmith is no longer what he wishes
for in life. Pip wants to be with Estella, and he knows that the only way for that to happen is if he were
to be a gentleman. He begins to see the gentle class as superior to the common folk, and that the
common folk as low lived. I set off on the four mile walk to our forge; pondering, as I went along, on
all I had seen, and deeply revolving that I was a common labouring boy; that my hands were coarse;
that my boots were thick; that I had fallen into a despicable habit of calling knaves Jacks; that I was
much more ignorant than I had considered myself last night, and generally that I was in a low lived
bad way. (IX, Page 59) Pip reflects that, although at one point in his life, he had accepted who he was,
and what he was destined to do, he no longer felt that way, and that he had a strong conviction on me
that I should never like Joe s trade. I had liked it once, but once was not now. (XIII, Page 69) The part
that Pip seems most conflicted by during this time in his life, is that he very well could have remained

In the field of social work there are different types of groups that we will eventually be working with.
Because the field of social work is so big, it is broken down into groups. These groups are micro and
mezzo. Both of these types of groups are very different from each other yet these types of groups can
be beneficial to individuals and families who are in need of some assistance. Micro practice is a level
of practice in which social workers work in. In the field of social work, micro is the practice that
typically involves the direct contact with the individuals or families. A social worker who is working
in the micro level tends to work with low income individuals, individuals who suffer from addictions

Should Businesses Use Aggressive Forms of External Growth...
Should businesses use aggressive forms of external growth (such as takeovers) or should they rely on
less hostile options (such as mergers)? There are two ways a business can expand, internally (which is
also referred to as organic) and externally (which is also referred to as inorganic). In this report, I m
mainly going to be focusing on external growth. Firstly, what is meant by external growth ? External
Growth is when businesses grow by integrating (joining) with another business. (Exercise Book)
There are also two ways of externally expanding; merging or taking over. Merging is when two (or
more) businesses reach an agreement to join together and operate as one business. It tends to be
mutually beneficial to both businesses. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other Advantages of Mergers Increasing the confidence of the shareholders of the merged company.
Reduce redundancies Beneficial to a struggling company by helping it to survive. Making a strong
presence in the domestic markets. Financial Resources Sources: http://kalyan
city.blogspot.com/2012/08/what are advantages of mergers.html Once again, A takeover is when one
business buys another business. This tends to be more hostile as the buying business is the main one to
benefit. There are some advantages you can gain from this. Firstly, likewise to merging, there can be
international growth. Businesses can make their services or products available globally by acquiring
businesses in various locations internationally. For instance, Belgium brewing company, InBev took
over Budweiser for $52 billion in 2008 in order to expand its presence in the U.S. market and create
one of the largest consumer beverage companies in the world, according to The Times. Due to the
acquisition, profits of the company rose by 11 percent in 2011, according to France 24.
(http://smallbusiness.chron.com/) Another advantage from a takeover that I also mentioned earlier is
Diversifying Products. One example is Kraft s 2010 takeover of Cadbury for $19.5 billion. The
acquisition diversified Kraft s candy line with more than 40 brands, increased revenue and sales as
well as the company s international presence, especially in

the second passage, John Berger describes Turner s early landscape paintings as having far more to do

Malcolm Gladwell s Theory Of The Tipping Point
Typically ranging from 100 to 400 square feet, tiny houses could easily be mistaken for a small shed
or plentiful sized walk in closet (Corson). Tiny houses are an alternative to modern housing that can
be taken on the go, similar to the transportable capabilities of an RV or mobile home. In order to
understand why tiny houses boomed in popularity since 2014, Malcolm Gladwell s theory of the
Tipping Point can be used to analyze how the movement sparked. The rise in interest of the tiny house
is accredited to the context in which it develops, the salesmen and connectors that spread the tiny
house movement, and the many aspects that allow tiny houses to stick with their audience.
The tiny house movement spreads partially due to various environmental ... Show more content on

One of the three, known as the Connector, acts as a living wire who connects themselves to many
different worlds and subcultures and niches (Gladwell). In the tiny house epidemic, many connectors
in the form of bigger companies help project the tiny house lifestyle. Two different television
networks, HGTV and FYI, produced popular shows that informed the public what tiny houses looked
like and what accommodations they came with, of those being Tiny House Big Living, Tiny House
Hunters, Tiny House Nation, and Tiny House World. Each of the shows first aired in late 2014, except
for Tiny House World which came in late 2015 (Tiny House, Big living, Tiny House Hunters, Tiny
House Nation, Tiny House World). By producing a tv show about tiny houses, whether the show
follows contractors, people who build the house themselves, or real estate agents that sell to a
prospective buyers, HGTV and FYI easily allow every household with a television set to explore a
growing movement that encourages finding freedom by thinking big on living small (St. Louis
Sanchez). In addition to bringing the tiny movement into the house of their audience, the show
producers also aim to be salesmen. According to Malcolm Gladwell, the salesmen work to convince
others that they need something they never knew about before (Gladwell). These shows make money
off of every episode they put out, and they do so in hopes that the same audience will return with more
numbers in order to watch their show. HGTV and FYI produce these shows that highlight the price,
process, and advantages of being apart of the movement. Similar tactics are shown outside of the
weekly television shows in community events, such as the Tiny House Jamboree. The jamboree is an
annual event in which prospective buyers, current owners, and certain builders can explore and

Ipv4 vs Ipv6
The IPv4 came before the IPv6 and these datagrams are similar in many ways but also differ in more
ways than one. IPv6 came out in the year 2004 and still uses many of the features that made IPv4 so
successful. IPv6 is supposed to become the new standard over the older version of IPv6, but it is tough
for v6 to take its spot when v6 cannot support everything v4 does, basically v6 cannot connect to a v4
system. Some differences are that it is stated that the IPv6 is more secure than the IPv4, the address
size went from 32 bits in the IPv4 to 128 bits in the IPv6, extensible protocols are more flexible in the

support for applications, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason why the address is longer in v6 is because it can support over 340 undecillion IP addresses.
Mainly because the IPv6 has potential to have problems just like the IPv4 address problems. Also, the
IPv6 has been broken down into geographical locations, meaning that the address can be tracked to a
specific location in the world. The downfall in this part, in my opinion, in a hacker s point of view, is
that you can breakdown a specific location where you would want to attack, if you know the
geographic location of the hexadecimal in the address. What I mean is that you can know the country
code in the IPv6 address and focus your attack in that specific location. Having a random order of the
v6 address would make it more reliable and more secure but also would allow disorder, not knowing
where specific address might be located.
IPv6 is more flexible in using protocols which, are mainly defined as the Request for Comment (RFC)
that we discussed in the discussions. Protocols are defined in the RFC, but the name of the protocol
will be something like Internet Protocol, Internet Control Message Protocol, Telnet Protocol, and
many more. The reason why these Protocols are more flexible in the IPv6 is for one, the IPv6 is a
newer technology than the IPv4, and the IPv6 also has more functionality and allows more flexibility
in the protocols, whereas the

events and to travel about our communities. The vehicle has permeated so many aspects of our lives
that sometimes it is easy to forget the extent to which we rely on it. Because of this reliably and
because of the necessity of a working order automobile to get things done, it is of supreme importance
to work to maintain your vehicle. None of us likes to be the person stranded, prior to an important
appointment, because of an automotive issue. For these and other reasons, it is important to consider
carefully an automotive service provider.
Many car repair service providers offer an extensive variety of professional services. The most typical
of these services is the oil change. When considering an automotive profession, it will serve you well
to consider the types of oil change services offered. Some companies offer a standard oil change or a
more extensive oil filter replacement procedure. An engine is a complex machine. There are numerous
moving parts that function in tandem to propel your vehicle. These parts, when operating, ... Show

Tires incur much damage through extensive use. Since many of us use our vehicles daily and
extensively, our tires suffer routine wear and tear. Many automotive service providers offer different
tire maintenance services. Aside from typical tire sales, they also offer tire rotation and alignment
services. Working with a vehicular professional can extend the life of your tires and make your
investment last longer. These professionals can help you become more aware of the signs of tire wear,
both visible and through the feel of your vehicle s ride. An awareness of these aspects can help you
prevent future blowouts and can maximize the life of your tires and vehicle

Effect of Rising Oil Prices on Indian Economy
A rise in global oil prices by $ 10 per barrel would reduce India s economic growth by 0.2 percentage
points and also affect the country s current account deficit, Goldman Sach said.
A VAR (value at risk) analysis suggests that a $ 10 increase in oil would reduce GDP growth by 0.2
percentage point, Goldman Sachs said in its latest edition of Asia Economics Analyst .
India on Monday voiced serious concern over the rising crude oil prices, which have touched a two
year high, and said it could badly affect global economic growth and even give rise to inflationary
pressures.
The current oil prices will spur global inflation and retard economic growth. India feels that this is the
concern that needs to be addressed on priority, Minister ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this background, I found it reassuring to come across opinions from two unrelated quarters
questioning the connection.
CONFIDENT ASSERTION
There is first the confident assertion of the Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Oil
Corporation (IOC), Mr R. S. Butola, that the impact of higher crude prices need not always be severe,
and can, in fact, be circumvented by means of some ingenious countervailing measures.
The IOC seems to have achieved this by carrying out crash modernisation and upgradation of plants
and shifting the dominant part of its business plan to petrochemicals.
For instance, by using modern processes, IOC has been able to convert many black products into high
value fuel such as LPG and petrol, significantly raising the company s distillate yield from 71.5 per
cent in 2004 05 to 75.4 per cent in 2010 11, and thereby extracting more high value products from
every barrel of crude.
A recent IMF working paper (No.11/194) Oil shocks in a global perspective: Are they really that bad?
is a scholarly exposition downplaying the gloomy prognostications associated with surging oil prices.
The importance of the paper is that it almost exclusively focuses on the economies of developing
countries.
It goes into the relationship between oil prices and macroeconomic fundamentals, including economic
output and value and volume of international

Why Is Eczema Important
ECZEMAAND PROBIOTICS Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic allergic disorder
that mainly involves the skin (Sears 89). As reported in, The Allergy Book, of all the allergic
disorders...eczema is the most troublesome to treat (89). In addition, eczema care is much more than
skin deep; the whole body must be healthy to minimize eczema (Sears 98). Our immune system s
response to allergens is what causes millions of us to suffer from allergic disorders (Sears 3). In
addition, epidemiologic data showed that atopic children have a different intestinal flora from that of
healthy ones (Ozdemir par. 4). Researchers are beginning to link the introduction of probiotics as an
effective way to treat/or prevent eczema. Per Dr. Ozdemir, children who ... Show more content on

5). Probiotics are bacteria that are native to your digestive tract, which means, they are normally found
in healthy small and large intestines and can influence the mucosal barrier (the inner lining of the
digestive tract), which in turn can affect immune system functions (EczemaFree.org par. 2). Lack of a
sufficient mucosal barrier allows food and environmental antigens to cross over into the blood stream,
activating the immune system and leading to hyperactivity, which is the hallmark of eczema
conditions (par. 2). This is an example of how usage of probiotics can improve conditions within the
intestinal tract, and in turn reduce eczema symptoms. Unaltered probiotics such as Lactobacillus GG,
with its anti inflammatory powers, may help prevent the development of eczema and other allergic
disorders (Sachs 230). The first clue that gut bacteria could play a role in risk for developing eczema
came in the discovery that breastfed babies have a reduced incidence, prolonged onset and decreased
severity to eczema

How do I as a professional measure how my students are acting form day to day and the answer is

I say that only on the fact that kids do things like this all the time when they can t get what they want.
Rather than accepting the fact that they can t get everything sometimes. They would rather try to make
the person or their parent fill guilty or embarrass about what is happing in order to get it. The best
example is of me when I was younger. I would ask my dad if I could go with him when he would go
to the store or to work, but he would tell me know, in order to get what I wanted I would cry and then
there I was riding with him wherever he had to go. This is what I believe to be happing that caused the
young boy to throw these temper tantrums all over the house or wherever they were. The stagey I
believe that can best help him is for is his parents to set expectation and rules for when he is home and
away. By having guidelines that he can follow and understand will better curve this behavior, but it
will not happen overnight. He will give a lot of flak and try to push back, but his parents must stand
their ground and become united therefore he will understand who s the boss in the home. This can be
done if both parents stay strong and put in the work that needs to be

When companies are hiring hundreds people per month and getting thousand resumes per position,
they are using ATS systems that are helping them with the first candidate preselection. Resumes are

The Security For The Networked Environment
The overall security for the networked environment is weak, and the team was able to move quickly

The Traditional Global Environment Evolved Into The Modern...
Question 1: Starting in 1900, the traditional global environment evolved into the modern global
system. As international relations scholars have attempted to examine and explain this change, six
worldviews have emerged. These are Realism, Liberalism, Idealism, Neo Marxism, Constructivism,
and Feminism. In an essay format answer, you are to discuss the main characteristics of each
worldview. One of the peculiarities of research of international relations is the variety of conceptual
constructions and competing theoretical approaches. This leads to the fact that an important
epistemological issue of research on international relations is the problem of classification and
typology of existing theories. Political Realism is accurately and ... Show more content on

The motive of international relations is the struggle of states to expand its influence in the external
environment (Kaarbo and Lee Ray, 7). According to liberalism, complex interdependence between
states plays a huge role for each state. Liberalism considers all international organizations to be
extremely important. Economics became more important than military power (Kaarbo and Lee Ray,9).
Thomas Woodrow Wilson was the representatives of idealism. The basis of the idealism is a set of
abstract ethical and legal ideals, norms, and criteria (Kaarbo and Lee Ray, 12). The Key
representatives of neo Marxism were Immanuel Wallerstein, Andre Frank, Robert Cox. The world was
divided not only by states, but also by more important structural elements classes. The structure of the
world economy is determined by the division of all countries based on economic indicators in two
parts: center and periphery (Kaarbo and Lee Ray, 15). Constructivists believed that the focus of the
theory should be directed to the study of processes. The main task of the state is not confined to the
issue of security. States may have long term common interests and influence the international system.
The interests of the state were formed in the process of constructing . All subjects of a policy change

The Expansion Of Foreign Aid
In the denotation of foreign aid takes many definitions in different literature, but as Tarp provided it is
government transfers from donor countries to under developed or poor countries. That is intended for
promoting development and reducing poverty, although there may be other aims of giving aid. As
there are major trend of foreign aid and most reasonable issues that foreign aid fluctuated in different
years, therefore the paper will look back the trend of foreign aid and it s changes in globally that has
started from 1940s one of the major trend of foreign aid that happened in the world was European
recovery programs known as marshal plan which its main aim was assistance from United states of
America to recover Europe.
Also the paper will focus on how 1980 s oil shocks changed economic nature as well as how
multilateral support increased in 1970 s there were also other foreign aid trends cited in this paper as
the end of Berlin wall and downfall of soviet union and in that time aid has really peaked in real terms
from 1974 to the final of the Cold War as some countries attained greatly UN ODA target of 0.7% of
national income (OECD, 2011)
As the same time second part of this question will discuss reasons why the donor countries grant
bilateral aid to poor and developing countries, rather than financial crises, reducing poverty, recovery
procedures and economic stability which are common but some scholars like (Lumsdaine, 1993)

William Patterson
William Paterson (Patterson) was born in County Antrim, Ireland, in 1745. When he was almost 2
years of age, his family emigrated to America, disembarking at New Castle, DE. While the father
traveled about the country, apparently selling tinware, the family lived in New London, other places in
Connecticut, and in Trenton, NJ. In 1750 he settled in Princeton, NJ. There, he became a merchant and
manufacturer of tin goods. His prosperity enabled William to attend local private schools and the
College of New Jersey (later Princeton). He took a B.A. in 1763 and an M.A. 3 years later.

and moral philosophy. He viewed college as the place to develop and perfect his character and to gain

Following his graduation in 1763, Paterson began the study of law in the office of Richard Stockton, a
prominent local attorney. In 1768 he was admitted to the bar, and opened a law practice at New
Bromley in Hunterdon County and later at Raritan in Somerset County.
Though not an early participant in the politics of the day, Paterson became an outspoken supporter of
American independence following the outbreak of hostilities in Lexington and Concord. In 1775 he
was selected as a delegate from Somerset County to the First Provincial Congress of New Jersey,
where he was named secretary. He later attended the Second Provincial Congress and the Third
Provincial Congress, where as secretary he officially recorded New Jersey s first constitution in 1776.
Soon after independence was declared, Paterson was appointed New Jersey s first attorney general by
Governor William Livingston. For the rest of the war he struggled successfully with the monumental

An Analysis Of Dominic Pettman s The World Of The Planet...
Having a voice, whether it s a human or an animal, have a significance behind where it comes from,
where we get it from and what message it receives to another. In this case, to have a voice consist of
what it s used for and how it comes back to you in different reflections using sea and land animals and
humans. To have a voice in the planet we live, it involves with imitation, body language, melancholy
song with vocalization and similarities of the human species with the species of diverse animals and
vice versa. Dominic Pettman s, The Screech Within the Speech engages with the embodiment of the
human voice as it brushes against an animal in what Pettman calls vox mundi, or voice of the world.
Pettman begins with expressing the melancholy songs from whales and how it is personalized given
when they are lonely and more vocal when the ocean is at its loudest. I believe he then moves on to
the main objective to this piece: discovering the voice with vocalization and self reflection using
humans and different types of birds, explaining how compatible they both are using vocal expression
and body communication as a form of transmission and unintended imitation, resulting to a form of
conversation. Dominic Pettman, the author of this article, is a staff member of The New School in
New York City as the Chair of Liberal Studies, New school for Social Resources, a Professor of

English 4
14, March 2018 The Accomplishments and Mistakes of Pure Evil When you hear the name Adolf
Hitler, you will generally think World War II, the holocaust, and the millions who were impacted after
the horrible things he had done. Yes, Hitler was an awful and evil man, but he was also an intelligent
and tactical world leader who accomplished more in his short reign then some accomplished after
decades of being in power. Adolf Hitler was not just a psychotic and angry man, in fact, before

This showed Adolf had a strong presence in German politics and thus Hindenburg gave Adolf the
position of Chancellor to maintain political balance. In achieving this position, Adolf used it to form a
legal dictatorship. After a suspicious fire at parliament, Hitler was able to suspend basic rights and
allow detention without trial, as well as giving his cabinet full legislative powers for a period of four
years, allowing them to ignore the constitution. Hitler then sought to remove all other political
presence from Germany, which he officially did on July 14th, 1933 when the Nazi Party was officially
declared to be the only legal political party in Germany. October that same year Hitler withdrew
Germany from the League of Nations. Military opposition was punished as well when many SA
leaders, who had demanded more political and military power, as well as several political enemies of
Adolf were rounded up and shot. It didn t take long for Adolf to begin his abuse of the Jewish people.

The Invention Of Hugo Cabaret By Brian Selznick
The Invention Of Hugo Cabaret Image Evaluation The invention of Hugo Cabaret, an award winning
book by Brian Selznick. In a successful attempt to create a movie/book feeling, he replaced 158 pages
of words with pictures. This picture, depicted on pages 118 119, caught my eye because it effectively
contributes to the development of the narrative. It relates to Hugo s father, who is a minor character,
but the picture perfectly correlates with the description provided in the pages. This image is a
flashback from Hugo s mind. It shows that Hugo s father, can t stop thinking about the automaton
even at work. In the picture, Selznick has cleverly managed to convey the mood of Hugo s father.
Selznick produces this by using, body language and facial expression, which is my first criteria. He
draws the character to show that Hugo s father is absorbed in what he is doing, which shows his
passion towards his job and the automaton. His body language is portrayed in the way he handles the
mechanical part in his hands. As you can see he is handling the part delicately indicating that it is
fragile. This also shows that Hugo s father is a very skilled but kind and caring person. ... Show more

the right place because it perfectly, correlates with the text. It also adds extra meaning to the words

Terry V Johnson Case
The issue in the present case is whether Officer Simon had reasonable suspicion to justify pulling the

make a brief investigatory stop if they have reasonable suspicion that criminal activity may be afoot.
See Terry v. Ohio. See also State v. Montel.
The stop by Officer Simson was not justified because he had no reasonable suspicion to pull over the
defendant. Reasonable suspicion, if received from an anonymous caller or informant, must be
corroborated with an investigation or independent observation by the police officer. State v Montel.
Here, Officer Simson, after receiving a call from an anonymous source, went directly to the
convenience store to look for the defendant. Upon not finding him there, he drove around until he
spotted the Red Jeep Cherokee, which the tipster identified the potential defendant driving and at that
point pulled him over. In State v. Sneed, the police stopped a defendant who made a stop at a house ...

The present case is distinguishable from Grayson. Officer Simon did not conduct an independent

How Did The Dust Bowl Affect The Economy
There was dust everywhere, covering everything. People and animals falling over dead left and right.
No one can breathe, and are all suffocating from the great amounts of dust particles in the air. Imagine
an immense cloud of dust appearing sporadically and being so overtaking all there is to do is sit and
wait for the storm to terminate. The Dust Bowl effected the economy, the people, and the geographical
region of the Great Plains negatively. The Dust Bowl will forever go down in history as one of the
most catastrophic disasters to take place in the Great Plains. Many events occurred before the years of
the Dust Bowl began. The farmers plowed up all of the ground to grow cash crops (Marrin 58). The
plowing of the soil left no grass to hold down the topsoil, leaving it vulnerable for wind erosion. In
1930, the people of the Great Plains had the biggest shortage of water in the history. Seventeen million
people were affected (Worster 11). In the early 1930 s, the temperatures went higher than they ever
had before (Marrin 52). By 1932, most people had reached their breaking point. Before the dust
storms began, there was a cutworm plague, a grasshopper plague, and a rabbit plague (Reis 51 and
52). Between all of the natural problems occurring, the land and people were both exhausted. They

Every kind of pollution has an impact on us, the environment and the animals surrounding us, everyone individually should do what they can to reduce their pollution habits. Air pollution is when harmful chemicals are put into the air. Most of the air pollution in the usa is caused by the burning of fossil fuels such as; coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline. Why do we continue to burn these knowing what it does to the environment? We continue to burn these harmful chemicals because they bring us electricity and they power our vehicles. Alfred Hitchcock And Psycho And Peter Shaffer Alfred Hitchcock in the film Psycho and Peter Shaffer in his stage production Equus both explore the true nightmares that manifest from sexual and emotional repression. The writers emphasise the motives and the reason for the characters actions opposed to how the causations of this repression occurred. Conversely, both works draw on the common theme of the disturbed human psyche, offering a critical perspective on the upbringing of each individual with regards to their early development, each characters subcontious fixations and abnormal behaviours through the use characters behaviours and representations. Alan is seen to thrash himself as he chants, Flankus begat Spankus. And Spankus begat... By Shaffer placing Alan in this position audience is drawn away from Frank presenting the scene and is drawn to Alan as the audience is in horror as Alan presents his ritualistic behaviour. The nouns Flankus and Spankus all have symbolistic features all linking back to horses, moreover, this is further interconnected through the symbolism displayed through the bridle . By Alans new found god, he appeals to Franks ideals of a disinterest of Christianity. Although, by the chanting and ritualistic recreation of the martyrdom of Jesus Christ through self punishment and torture, Alan succeeds in fulfilling the religious worship and ideologies that Dora wants Allan to follow. Further to this sexual and emotional repression, both Shaffer and Hitchcock realise the explosive and unsafe nature possessed by the characters in indescribable and unknown behaviours. Equus portrayal of the Alan Strang s infatuation with horses indicates the filtration and display of emotions through a widely accepted activity by society. Alan s adoration for with the horses however is his key link to his sexual repression as Alan describes how his horse Nugget left sweat on [his] legs from [his] neck and that Nuggets sides were all warm. • 5. The Selfishness Of Edna Priestley s The Vanities The Selfishness of Edna Pontellier Though some may see the actions taken by Edna as justified, I feel that she was in no way justified in her actions. In the realm of the social situation in the story, she acted selfishly and disregarded her duties as a mother and a wife. She threw away a perfectly fine life for no reasons beyond her own selfishness, and abandoned her family. However, in terms of the romantic tones of the story, she freed herself from her perceived bondage and lived the life she wanted to live. This idea of freedom counteracts the view of Edna as a selfish individual and presents her in a more positive light. In this view, the author presents Edna as strong minded woman who wants to live the life that she feels she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While this may not be a viable solution to the problem, it cannot be denied that he was trying to combat the various problems they had between them. He fell in love...and pressed his suit with an earnestness and an ardor which left nothing to be desired. He pleased her; his absolute devotion flattered her (18). Edna was not fair to him when she married him without loving him. She grew fond of her husband (18), but this fondness alone is not a good reason for marriage. One could argue that Leonce was a domineering, controlling man who viewed Edna as a part of his vast wealth. However, Léonce simply did not know how to express his love and concern for Edna, or his family, in any way other than with money. His life can be seen as stressful due to his job as well as his endless worrying over his money; as such he has little energy to care for his wife and children. Another way that infections can affect the body, is when they cause decreased flow of fluids to the body. This may cause athletes to feel dehydrated or light headed while performing sports. The importance of learning about personal hygiene because will stop the spread of bacteria, especially in contact sports. What students should learn about in sports personal hygiene is to not share towels, razors, water bottles, and equipment with each other. This can spread infections. Some ways to prevent infections are practicing to wash hands frequently and thoroughly and taking care of the skin by taking showers daily to prevent skin infections. In sports, skin infections are spread first by skin injuries, such as chafing, turf burns, and abrasions. When not properly taken care of, the injury can get infected and turn into skin infections. When teammates (especially in contact sports) touch the skin injury, bacteria gets passed around which then spread the infections to other athletes, the same skin injury. It is much more than a person obeying, there are underlying mechanisms in the brain that are still being studied today. Evidence Hypnosis has been used for a variety of reasons. Two categories it is used a lot in are addiction and phobias. With the use of hypnosis, a person can connect the addiction to something extremely distasteful which in turn makes the person not want to participate in the action anymore. Or hypnotism can change the mindset of a person with an extreme fear so that they no longer associate that fear with the object or action. Three studies were reviewed, a 2007 study on smoking cessation, a 2006 study on dental phobia, and a 2007 study on needle phobia. A study by Carmody, Duncan, Simon, Solkowitz, Huggins, Lee, and Delucchi (2007) researched different hypnosis interventions and then chose the one they believed would be the most helpful and compared it to behavioral counseling. Should businesses use aggressive forms of external growth (such as takeovers) or should they rely on less hostile options (such as mergers)? There are two ways a business can expand, internally (which is also referred to as organic) and externally (which is also referred to as inorganic). In this report, I m mainly going to be focusing on external growth. Firstly, what is meant by external growth ? External Growth is when businesses grow by integrating (joining) with another business. (Exercise Book) There are also two ways of externally expanding; merging or taking over. Merging is when two (or more) businesses reach an agreement to join together and operate as one business. This tends to be more hostile as the buying business is the main one to benefit. There are some advantages you can gain from this. Firstly, likewise to merging, there can be international growth. Businesses can make their services or products available globally by acquiring businesses in various locations internationally. For instance, Belgium brewing company, InBev took over Budweiser for $52 billion in 2008 in order to expand its presence in the U.S. market and create one of the largest consumer beverage companies in the world, according to The Times. Due to the acquisition, profits of the company rose by 11 percent in 2011, according to France 24. Tiny houses are an alternative to modern housing that can be taken on the go, similar to the transportable capabilities of an RV or mobile home. In order to understand why tiny houses boomed in popularity since 2014, Malcolm Gladwell s theory of the Tipping Point can be used to analyze how the movement sparked. Two different television networks, HGTV and FYI, produced popular shows that informed the public what tiny houses looked like and what accommodations they came with, of those being Tiny House Big Living, Tiny House Hunters, Tiny House Nation, and Tiny House World. Each of the shows first aired in late 2014, except for Tiny House World which came in late 2015 (Tiny House, Big living, Tiny House Hunters, Tiny House Nation, Tiny House World). By producing a tv show about tiny houses, whether the show follows contractors, people who build the house themselves, or real estate agents that sell to a prospective buyers, HGTV and FYI easily allow every household with a television set to explore a growing movement that encourages finding freedom by thinking big on living small (St. Louis Sanchez). In addition to bringing the tiny movement into the house of their audience, the show producers also aim to be salesmen. According to Malcolm Gladwell, the salesmen work to convince others that they need something they never knew about before (Gladwell). These shows make money off of every episode they put out, and they do so in hopes that the same audience will return with more numbers in order to watch their show. HGTV and FYI produce these shows that highlight the price, process, and advantages of being apart of the movement. IPv6 came out in the year 2004 and still uses many of the features that made IPv4 so successful. IPv6 is supposed to become the new standard over the older version of IPv6, but it is tough for v6 to take its spot when v6 cannot support everything v4 does, basically v6 cannot connect to a v4 system. Some differences are that it is stated that the IPv6 is more secure than the IPv4, the address size went from 32 bits in the IPv4 to 128 bits in the IPv6, extensible protocols are more flexible in the IPv6, IPv4 and IPv6 are not compatible, the IPv4 will not be able to support additional nodes or support for applications, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reason why the address is longer in v6 is because it can support over 340 undecillion IP addresses. Mainly because the IPv6 has potential to have problems just like the IPv4 address problems. Also, the IPv6 has been broken down into geographical locations, meaning that the address can be tracked to a specific location in the world. The downfall in this part, in my opinion, in a hacker s point of view, is that you can breakdown a specific location where you would want to attack, if you know the geographic location of the hexadecimal in the address. What I mean is that you can know the country code in the IPv6 address and focus your attack in that specific location. Having a random order of the v6 address would make it more reliable and more secure but also would allow disorder, not knowing where specific address might be located. IPv6 is more flexible in using protocols which, are mainly defined as the Request for Comment (RFC) that we discussed in the discussions. Protocols are defined in the RFC, but the name of the protocol will be something like Internet Protocol, Internet Control Message Protocol, Telnet Protocol, and many more. No different than the previous system, the team managed to achieve system level access utilizing the getsystem command. On its second exploit, the team again used the MS03_026 exploit, and again the system was compromised. Nothing of value was recovered from the machine, and the passwords were not cracked during the allotted amount of time. With most of its services closed, the .40 system only presented these two potential avenues of approach. Unlike, the .60 machine, the team FTP service was closed on the machine minimizing the client s overall footprint. System maintenance, and patch management will reduce the issues found with these two systems. Unpatched systems remain open potentially allowing attackers to exploit unnecessarily. Regarding the FTP service, the service is always a potential threat. If possible the organization adopts SSH as the organization s transfer protocol, due to its encryption capabilities. This called for new perception of GIS and people and procedure were included as major interface of GIS system as shown in figure 4.1.1 (b). Figure 4.1.1 (b) 4.1.2 GIS Data Model In order to represent the spatial information and their attributes, a data model a set of logical definitions or rules for characterizing the geographical data is adopted. The data model represents the linkages between the real world domain of geographical data and the GIS representation of these features. As a result, the data model not only helps in organizing the real world geographical features into a systematic storage/retrieval mechanism but also helps in capturing the perception of user about the features. GIS packages differ according to the data structure and adopted data structure defines in built GIS capabilities and need for customization. How the user would be interacting with the GIS data for retrieval, analysis and modeling is dependant on the structure of storing the data. Raster and vector are two basic data structure data models. How real world variations are captured as vector data and raster data in GIS is represented as figure 4.1.2, each data model tends to fit certain types of applications better than the other. • 30. The Traditional Global Environment Evolved Into The Modern... Question 1: Starting in 1900, the traditional global environment evolved into the modern global system. As international relations scholars have attempted to examine and explain this change, six worldviews have emerged. These are Realism, Liberalism, Idealism, Neo Marxism, Constructivism, and Feminism. In an essay format answer, you are to discuss the main characteristics of each worldview. One of the peculiarities of research of international relations is the variety of conceptual constructions and competing theoretical approaches. This leads to the fact that an important epistemological issue of research on international relations is the problem of classification and typology of existing theories. The motive of international relations is the struggle of states to expand its influence in the external environment (Kaarbo and Lee Ray, 7). According to liberalism, complex interdependence between states plays a huge role for each state. Liberalism considers all international organizations to be extremely important. Economics became more important than military power (Kaarbo and Lee Ray,9). Thomas Woodrow Wilson was the representatives of idealism. The basis of the idealism is a set of abstract ethical and legal ideals, norms, and criteria (Kaarbo and Lee Ray, 12). The Key representatives of neo Marxism were Immanuel Wallerstein, Andre Frank, Robert Cox. The world was divided not only by states, but also by more important structural elements classes. The structure of the world economy is determined by the division of all countries based on economic indicators in two parts: center and periphery (Kaarbo and Lee Ray, 15). Constructivists believed that the focus of the theory should be directed to the study of processes. The main task of the state is not confined to the issue of security. States may have long term common interests and influence the international system. The interests of the state were formed in the process of constructing . • 32. William Patterson William Paterson (Patterson) was born in County Antrim, Ireland, in 1745. When he was almost 2 years of age, his family emigrated to America, disembarking at New Castle, DE. While the father traveled about the country, apparently selling tinware, the family lived in New London, other places in Connecticut, and in Trenton, NJ. In 1750 he settled in Princeton, NJ. There, he became a merchant and manufacturer of tin goods. His prosperity enabled William to attend local private schools and the College of New Jersey (later Princeton). He took a B.A. in 1763 and an M.A. 3 years later. Following his graduation in 1763, Paterson began the study of law in the office of Richard Stockton, a prominent local attorney. In 1768 he was admitted to the bar, and opened a law practice at New Bromley in Hunterdon County and later at Raritan in Somerset County. Though not an early participant in the politics of the day, Paterson became an outspoken supporter of American independence following the outbreak of hostilities in Lexington and Concord. In 1775 he was selected as a delegate from Somerset County to the First Provincial Congress of New Jersey, where he was named secretary. He later attended the Second Provincial Congress and the Third Provincial Congress, where as secretary he officially recorded New Jersey s first constitution in 1776. Having a voice, whether it s a human or an animal, have a significance behind where it comes from, where we get it from and what message it receives to another. In this case, to have a voice consist of what it s used for and how it comes back to you in different reflections using sea and land animals and humans. To have a voice in the planet we live, it involves with imitation, body language, melancholy song with vocalization and similarities of the human species with the species of diverse animals and vice versa. Dominic Pettman s, The Screech Within the Speech engages with the embodiment of the human voice as it brushes against an animal in what Pettman calls vox mundi, or voice of the world. Pettman begins with expressing the melancholy songs from whales and how it is personalized given when they are lonely and more vocal when the ocean is at its loudest. I believe he then moves on to the main objective to this piece: discovering the voice with vocalization and self reflection using humans and different types of birds, explaining how compatible they both are using vocal expression and body communication as a form of transmission and unintended imitation, resulting to a form of conversation. Michael Bonney Mr. Saleeba English 4 14, March 2018 The Accomplishments and Mistakes of Pure Evil When you hear the name Adolf Hitler, you will generally think World War II, the holocaust, and the millions who were impacted after the horrible things he had done. Yes, Hitler was an awful and evil man, but he was also an intelligent and tactical world leader who accomplished more in his short reign then some accomplished after decades of being in power. Adolf Hitler was not just a psychotic and angry man, in fact, before forming what we know now as the Nazi party, Hitler was little more than a patriot who wanted the best for his country and the people in it. This showed Adolf had a strong presence in German politics and thus Hindenburg gave Adolf the position of Chancellor to maintain political balance. In achieving this position, Adolf used it to form a legal dictatorship. After a suspicious fire at parliament, Hitler was able to suspend basic rights and allow detention without trial, as well as giving his cabinet full legislative powers for a period of four years, allowing them to ignore the constitution. Hitler then sought to remove all other political presence from Germany, which he officially did on July 14th, 1933 when the Nazi Party was officially declared to be the only legal political party in Germany. October that same year Hitler withdrew Germany from the League of Nations. Military opposition was punished as well when many SA leaders, who had demanded more political and military power, as well as several political enemies of Adolf were rounded up and shot. • 35. The Invention Of Hugo Cabaret By Brian Selznick The Invention Of Hugo Cabaret Image Evaluation The invention of Hugo Cabaret, an award winning book by Brian Selznick. In a successful attempt to create a movie/book feeling, he replaced 158 pages of words with pictures. This picture, depicted on pages 118 119, caught my eye because it effectively contributes to the development of the narrative. It relates to Hugo s father, who is a minor character, but the picture perfectly correlates with the description provided in the pages. This image is a flashback from Hugo s mind. It shows that Hugo s father, can t stop thinking about the automaton even at work. In the picture, Selznick has cleverly managed to convey the mood of Hugo s father. Selznick produces this by using, body language and facial expression, which is my first criteria. He draws the character to show that Hugo s father is absorbed in what he is doing, which shows his passion towards his job and the automaton. His body language is portrayed in the way he handles the mechanical part in his hands. As you can see he is handling the part delicately indicating that it is fragile. This also shows that Hugo s father is a very skilled but kind and caring person. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To what extent do the objects in the room add meaning to the story? • 36. Terry V Johnson Case The issue in the present case is whether Officer Simon had reasonable suspicion to justify pulling the defendant over? Stops by the police are referred to as a Terry stop. Terry v. Ohio. Thus, police may make a brief investigatory stop if they have reasonable suspicion that criminal activity may be afoot. See Terry v. Ohio. See also State v. Montel. The stop by Officer Simson was not justified because he had no reasonable suspicion to pull over the defendant. Reasonable suspicion, if received from an anonymous caller or informant, must be corroborated with an investigation or independent observation by the police officer. State v Montel. Here, Officer Simson, after receiving a call from an anonymous source, went directly to the convenience store to look for the defendant. • 37. How Did The Dust Bowl Affect The Economy There was dust everywhere, covering everything. People and animals falling over dead left and right. No one can breathe, and are all suffocating from the great amounts of dust particles in the air. Imagine an immense cloud of dust appearing sporadically and being so overtaking all there is to do is sit and wait for the storm to terminate. The Dust Bowl effected the economy, the people, and the geographical region of the Great Plains negatively. The Dust Bowl will forever go down in history as one of the most catastrophic disasters to take place in the Great Plains. Many events occurred before the years of the Dust Bowl began. The farmers plowed up all of the ground to grow cash crops (Marrin 58). The plowing of the soil left no grass to hold down the topsoil, leaving it vulnerable for wind erosion. In 1930, the people of the Great Plains had the biggest shortage of water in the history. Seventeen million people were affected (Worster 11). In the early 1930 s, the temperatures went higher than they ever had before (Marrin 52). By 1932, most people had reached their breaking point.
