Sildenafil Jelly Research Paper
Many people find it difficult to swallow a pill. They often feel that they can choke on the pill or
simply suffer from a mental block when it comes to taking oral medicines. We recognise the problems
of such patients and therefore, recommend that these patients need to find alternative methods to take
the required medicines. Take the example of patients who are suffering from erectile dysfunction. The
inability to have a hard on can really decrease the confidence of the patients who are suffering from
this condition. They are certainly in need of a strong intervention. One of the best ways to get
medicine is to use Kamagra oral jelly. It is a flavoured oral composition that allows you to take
sildenafil, while still enjoying the fruity flavour

The Importance Of Bias In Literature
Few modern authors have had as profound an effect on their genre, society, political debate, or
literature in general as Robert Heinlein. Science fiction author Ken Macleod suggests that the world
was having a dialogue with Heinlein, unfortunately, one of the unintentional consequences of dialogue
is misunderstanding, some of which is caused by reader bias (Macleod, James, Mendlesohn 231). Bias
is dangerous to readers and they should, consequently, avoid it for at least three reasons; first, it causes
a work or author to be regarded in many contradicting ways; second, it creates an atmosphere in which
faulty arguments are made, and third, it results in significant elements of the story being ignored.
Though, one should not construe this in such a way as to denote that this report is so much about the
book itself as about the overall scope of it in relation to Heinlein, the bias levied for or against the
book and him as well as their overall message, and the meaning of the work itself. It is vital that it be
understood that in this context bias is any tendency to judge something either more or less favorably
based on preexisting notions rather than on the data presented. It is equally important to understand
that the human mind looks for patterns, the term for this phenomenon is pareidolia, in which people
see hidden faces in clouds or even hear nonexistent messages in songs. It is because the mind seeks to
recognize patterns, even where none exist. Similarly, people who

Speech On Redundant Writing
Stop Over Explaining; I Get It!
A curse of being a writer is the compulsion to edit. Take the sign on my walking trail, for example. It
reads, Watered by well water. One of these days, no matter how hard I try to resist, I just know I m
going to paint it out to read, Irrigated by well water. If you don t get this, it s because you re not a
writer. ― Ron Brackin
Redundancy 101
Redundant writing is verbose or long winded, bombastic, pompous, effusive, or wordy. Oh, and
redundant words just repeat the point.
However, there may be times that redundancy is good writing, if it reduces the chances of the words
being misread or misinterpreted.
Looking at the first sentence, maybe I was concerned that not all readers would know the meaning of
verbose , so I wrote several other similar words rather like a built in Thesaurus. Some readers may
appreciate that they don t have to look the word up in a dictionary, but I ll beat that more readers were
annoyed.
Granted, I am someone that values dictionaries and if I find a word I don t know, I look it up.
However, I can also provide a link for questionable words, and not belabor the point. Readers then
have the option to click the link or continue with their reading.
Recognizing Redundancy
Simply put, redundant writing is using words or phrases that are unnecessary. As Strunk and White tell
us in Elements of Style, Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words,
a paragraph no unnecessary

The Great War And Modern Memory By Paul Fussell
In 1975 the Oxford University Press published the first edition of The Great War and Modern Memory
written by Paul Fussell. As Fussell states in the opening line, this book is about the British experience
on the Western Front from 1914 to 1918. In this paper I will argue, that despite the numerous literary
awards this book has won, it contains historical inaccuracies and shortcomings in relation to the
accurate information provided that takes away from the prestige of the book. Despite the numerous
negative aspects of the book, this paper will also briefly highlight the few positive areas of the book,
therefore providing an in depth analysis of the book. When analyzing any sort of book, it is best for
the reader to have a basic summary and understanding of the books arguments and evidence in order
to understand further arguments made about said book. It is important to note at the beginning of this
paper that Fussell fought in the Second World War, something he does not mention until the end of his
book. Fussell also states that as wounded ex infantry officer, who is fascinated and at times obsessed
with his own experience in Europe during the Second World War, he related his circumstances to those
that he wrote about who participated in the First World War. It is important to keep in mind because it
may influence how Fussell wrote his book and the reader should be aware of this fact while reading
this analysis of his work. Fussell s book contains nine chapters that

Syrian Immigration Policies
Purpose
Canada s current immigration policies are failing to meet the diverse and unique needs of Syrian
refugees. The purpose of this briefing note is to present recommendations regarding the resettlement
of Syrian refugees in Canada, as there is a need for improved health and social support services. Social
workers in particular have a crucial role in the resettlement and successful integration of Syrian
refugees in Canada.
Background Information and Summary of Key Points
In response to the ongoing conflict in Syria, the Government of Canada, private sponsors and other
organizations plan to resettle over 25,000 Syrian refugees (Government of Canada, 2016).
Refugee status is determined in accordance with the eligibility criteria and regulations ... Show more

Acculturation and integration is often a stressful process for both individuals and families (Lacroix,
2003). Therefore as social workers, it is vital to recognize and understand the history, traditions,
values, family structures and cultures of refugees, as those deeply rooted experiences shape and alter
their lives (Thomas Bernard Moriah, 2007).
Recommendations
Improve access to information on how to navigate necessary health and social services.
Offer health and social services in the client s own language, which may involve hiring Syrian
refugees with lived experiences, interpreters, and/or cultural brokers.
Implement mandatory education and training programs on the complex nature of resettlement and
integration to ensure health care and social service providers are practicing in a culturally competent
and safe way.
Create links between different services and improve collaboration between those services (i.e.
employment, education, housing, social support, and health care

Cell Theory
Cell Theory is a way to describe the biology of living things. Cell theory says that the cell is the basic
unit of life. Cells by themselves are alive, but they can also be part of a larger living thing. The
smallest living organisms (like bacteria but not viruses) and the biggest ones (like humans and whales)
are all made of cells. Very small organisms like bacteria and amoebas are only made of one cell each,
so they are called unicellular organisms ( uni means one ). Larger organisms are made of many cells,
and they are called multicellular organisms.
Definition: The Cell Theory is one of the basic principles of Biology. Credit for the formulation of this
theory is given to German scientists Theodor Schwann, Matthias ... Show more content on

Connective tissue proper consists of loose connective tissue and dense connective tissue (which is
further subdivided into dense regular and dense irregular connective tissues). Special connective tissue
consists of reticular connective tissue, adipose tissue, cartilage, bone, and blood. Other kinds of
connective tissues include fibrous, elastic, and lymphoid connective tissues.
Fibroblasts are the cells responsible for the production of some CT.
Type I collagen, is present in many forms of connective tissue, and makes up about 25% of the total
protein content of the mammalian body.
Functions of a Connective Tissue: * Storage of energy * Protection of organs * Provision of structural
framework for the body * Connection of body tissues * Connection of epithelial tissues to muscle
fiber * Supply of hormones all over the body * Nutritional support to epithelium * Site of defense

Locations of a Connective Tissue: Connective tissue is found everywhere in the body except the
central nervous system.
3. Muscular: a soft tissue that composes muscles in animal bodies, and gives rise to muscles ability to

Essay On Fiber Communication System
There are certain inherent flaws with the optical transmission system like inter symbol interference
and noise. This distortion is introduced by the narrow bandwidth and some distortions due to the
media through the optical signals travel. The linear transversal filter is used to reduce symbol
interference. The system designed to remove unknown distortion is called an adaptive equalizer. The
corrective measure is to identify the distortion and adjust accordingly with the objective to remove it.
The equalizer can be the supervised or unsupervised type. In the TV or radio Transmission, blind
equalizers are used. The literature survey of analysis of mean square error and space division

The equalizer converges to higher MSE. The noise PSD directed method iterated over 3000 km
transmission on all six modes and it tends to convergence at same MSE to get the standard 10 dB
normalized MSE (NMSE).The noise PSD directed algorithms require 47 blocks and the conventional
algorithm needs 48 blocks [6]. Sean O¨Arık et.al have proposed Long haul mode division
multiplexing (MDM) for adaptive multi input multi output (MIMO) equalization to reduce for modal
crosstalk and modal dispersion. To minimize computational complexity, use MIMO frequency domain

multi input multi output (MIMO) transmission Increasing per fiber capacity can be achieved more
readily by increasing spatial dimensionality the total number of dimensions available for multiplexing,
including spatial and polarization degrees of freedom denoted by D. In first case two polarization
modes of single mode fiber using D=2. This is made possible by equalization techniques goes on
going up with the upward drift of D and higher group delay. In second case systems using
modedivision multiplexing (MDM) in MMFs (D 2) receiver, computational complexity increases
because of an increase in D and because of the large group delay (GD) spread

Neurology Personal Statement Examples
I have always been fascinated with the human brain and its ability to control all that we do. My
interest only grew after I saw my first human brain specimen on the anatomy dissection table and
closely examined the small but brilliant structures on that cadaver brain. It was then I knew I wanted
to pursue a career that allowed me to learn all I could about this powerful organ. Just prior to medical
school I had witnessed the devastating effects of Alzhiemer s disease on a family member and saw
first hand how the lack of information about the etiology of this disease and the limited amount of
breakthroughs about the treatment to stop or reverse its progression provided care difficult. A
neurology residency would help provide me with an excellent opportunity to learn the intricacies of
the brain and spinal cord. It would also provide me opportunities to participate in valuable research
projects that may one day provide the level of insight about neurological diseases that my family
wanted to know.

Is Soccer More Important Than Soccer
My soccer coach for my select team has always taught me that winning isn t everything. My coach
prepared my team for life more than just soccer. Anytime we thought we were going to be late, we had
to communicate with him beforehand. We never had to run because we didn t win. He only cared if we
tried our hardest and gave it our best effort. My coach taught me how to be a good man while teaching
me how to be a good soccer player as well.
My coaches name was coach Matt. He had been coaching me since I was in second grade which was
when I started playing select soccer. At first, it was just all of my friends wanting to play soccer
outside of school. We weren t that good, but we had so much fun playing that it didn t matter if we
were good or bad. Our team has been together all this time. Most teams break up or move to new
teams after three or four years but not us. All of the kids stayed on this team because we knew how
good of a man our coach was and how he was going to help us develop both as soccer players and as
men.
Another thing that my coach has taught me is that school is always more important than soccer. My
coach would always check up on my teammates and I to see how were doing in school. My coach
enjoyed hearing us talk about things other than soccer like hobbies, school, and family. He liked
getting to know us and he thought that getting to know each other was also important for us. He
thought that if we communicated better outside of soccer, we would communicate

How Is Capulet Change In Romeo And Juliet
In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, there are many characters that change throughout the
play, but the character that changes the most is Capulet. At the beginning of the play, Capulet loves
and cares about Juliet. He wants her to experience the world and enjoy her life before she is married.
Unfortunately, by the end of the play, he is crazy and doesn t care about her. He gives her an
ultimatum to marry Paris or be shunned by the family. When Paris asks for Juliet s hand in marriage at
the beginning of the play, Capulet states: My child is yet a stranger in the world, / She hath not seen
the change of fourteen years; / Let two more summers wither in their pride, / Ere we may think her
ripe to be a bride (1.2.8 11). Capulet s answer shows his care and respect for his daughter. ... Show

Killer Bees Essay
The Africanized Honey Bee is actually a variety of honeybee derived by hybridization from African
honeybees naturalized in the western hemisphere. Because they are highly defensive and will attack
perceived intruders more readily than the common European honeybee, they are also known by the
popular name of killer bees.
Brazilian scientists imported African honeybee queens in the 1950 s in order to breed a honeybee for
use in tropical climates. Some swarms escaped into the wild. Because they were highly adapted for
tropical survival and had no natural competitors, they thrived and spread rapidly through South
America, extending their range by as much as 500 km (300 mi) per year. By the 1980s, Africanized ...

The businesses of many beekeepers in Latin American countries have failed as a result of
Africanization of the native hives. Africanized honey bees are not expected to have the same impact in
the United States because of advanced beekeeping technology and climatic limitations on the spread
of the species. Africanization of beehives can be prevented by the annual introduction of new
European queens to each colony. Africanized honeybees have increased the number of human deaths
due to bee stings in Mexico and Argentina and probably in other countries. In the United States,
however, although more people have been stung by bees since 1990, no more bee related deaths than
usual have been recorded.
Conclusions:
The idea of killer bees is one that is created more by the media and misinformation than actual fact.
Killer bees rarely if ever kill a victim. In addition, a killer bee scare in the United States would be
completely unfounded and unnecessary. General precautions that are usually taken with the
domesticated honeybee will suffice in protecting oneself against the Africanized honeybee. The
Africanized honeybee has, for the most part, reached a climatic limitation in the United States and will
not pose a threat to the northern areas of the country. The effect of Africanized honeybees to the
United States is small. Advanced bee keeping methods, precautions, and medical technology negate

Chemical Castration Essay
A Critical Analysis of the Effects of Chemical Castration and Physical Castration on the Recidivism
Rates of Sex Offenders
Introduction
This paper examines the effects of chemical castration and physical castration on the recidivism rates
of sex offenders.
Using theory integration or the multifactor approach, the findings reveal there are several factors
influencing sex offender recidivism. Both chemical castration and physical castration have the
potential to reduce the recidivism rates of sex offenders by lowering testosterone levels, diminishing
sexual urges, and making sexual urges more controllable if the sexual urges are motivated by
increased testosterone levels. Based on theory integration, most sex offences ... Show more content on

Chemical castration has been studied for the last twenty five years, however, due to the newness of
legislation in the
United States, there have not been many long term research projects involving the effectiveness of
chemical castration in reducing sex offender recidivism rates completed in the United States.
However, one such study by Meyer, Cole, and Emory published in 1997 looks promising. The study
compared recidivism rates of 40 convicted sex offenders treated over a period of years with
medroxyprogesterone and psychotherapy, with recidivism rates of offenders who refused
medroxyprogesterone therapy but received psychotherapy and found that only 18% receiving
medroxyprogesterone re offended, while 35% of those not receiving therapy re offended. Physical or
surgical castration is the removal of the testes and replacement with prostheses in order to reduce
testosterone production, therefore, diminishing sexual urges and making behavior more controllable.
Sex offenders can opt to have surgical castration; however, it is not mandated by state legislatures in
the United States. As with chemical castration, there has not been extensive or long term research on
the use of surgical castration to reduce the recidivism rates of sex offenders in the United States.
According to Robert Prentky (1997), surgically castrated sex offenders show significantly improved
recidivism rates as

Tim Millar Rooted Play Analysis
Tim Millar s Rooted is a powerful story about his life as a gay man fighting for social justice. The
whole play is him alone on the stage giving the audience a look into his past through storytelling. My
favorite part of his story was the part of him being nine and walking to school with his friend, a boy
that he wanted to marry when he grew up. When the other boy found out that Tim wanted to marry
him, he shoved him into a ditch and made Tim take it back. It isn t a happy or funny part of the story
but it is a powerful one. The play was performed on a black box theater, no props and only the sound
effects one man can make by himself. I liked how minimal the play was, really just a good storyteller
with some lighting effects; no costumes or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It could have been anyone standing on that stage and saying the same words and the story would still
be a good one, but since all this happened to him, it is all the more effective because of it. It wasn t
just any man that got to marry his lover of twenty four years, it was him. It wasn t any little boy at the
age of nine that got pushed into a ditch for being gay, it was him. Throughout the whole performance
the audience felt what Tim Millar wanted us to feel. When he was happy, we were, when he was
outraged so too was the audience. When he told us how exited he was on June 25th 2015 to finally
marry his lover, you couldn t help but be exited with him. As a bisexual person I can connect to this
story, although I ve never faced the kind of oppression that Tim Millar and others have faced in their
lives. If I were to create a play of me I would hope to emulate his strong storytelling and way of
captivating the audience. My story would be about my struggle with depression while I was training
and attempting to qualify for nationals in Tae Kwon Do. I would attempt to make the audience

Applying A Mixed Methods For Choosing Text And Data...
Methodology
3. 1 Introduction
In this chapter, I introduce and then give a detailed account of the research methodol ogy adopted in
the present study. The chapter has two sections, in the first of which I pro vide a brief account of the
main implications of applying a mixed methods approach in re search design and a brief description of
the different ways of designing mixed methods re search in 3.2. In the second section, I discuss the use
of corpus linguistics as a research method, that is, the quantitative part represented by the application
of corpus linguistic tools and the choice of the reference corpus that is compatible with the Obama
corpus. The pro cedures for choosing text and data collection are provided in 3.6, in addition to
providing some background and contextual description and information about the texts and the audi
ence they are addressed to. In 3.5, I discuss the qualitative aspect represented by narrative analysis
supported by highlighting the analytical focus when dealing with qualitative data in 3.7. The chapter
ends with a summary section that refers back to the first section to locate the methodology and
analytical procedures within the mixed method various strategies.

Influences of Fear in What s Eating Away At Gilbert Grape...
Fear influences the way humans react and the actions that transpire. Some embrace the feeling of fear;
others try to overcome obstacles that fear creates. Sometimes, fear stimulates a strong response of self
isolation to shield one s mind from accepting emotion. This response, however, can manifest into an
extreme nature, creating the personality that Gilbert Grape exhibits. Peter Hedges clearly
communicates the fact that Gilbert underwent a transformation and his personality reflects the change.
The transformation not only causes Gilbert to become conflicted with expressing his feelings, but he
fears the guilt of doing so as well. Gilbert struggles with his family controlling his opinions, emotions
and actions. Peter Hedges illustrates the crippling nature of fear in What s Eating Gilbert Grape.
Gilbert becomes emotionally isolated due to his fear of judgment. The relationship between Gilbert
and his family strained by the fear to act and the reality of his life creates the alienated personality
readers see. Throughout What s Eating Gilbert Grape, examples of his fear of judgment crippling him
begin to surface. Gilbert says, Something is not right about all this food going to my house. Something
is wrong inside me, I start to think, but I change the subject (112). Gilbert desperately wants to express
on how food negatively affects his whole family, especially himself. However, readers see that Gilbert
cannot even argue with himself, demonstrating how fear really plays

Augustine s Confessions Rhetorical Analysis
Augustine s Confessions is an autobiography written around 400 A.D which details his spiritual
journey, and each of the books address a certain element of Augustine s steps in his spiritual path. In
Book III, he develops his overcoming of lust by introducing the book with the line: I went to
Carthage, where I found myself in the midst of a hissing cauldron of lust. (III.1, pp55). The theme of
non sexual lust instantly becomes the focal point of the book and Augustine presents the hissing
cauldron as a low point in his relationship with God, for he wanders away from his creator by loving
his own ways; however, he later discovers this was merely lust compared to the true love of God. In
this essay, I will argue that Book III of Confessions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Augustine yearns to be a great rhetorician and studies the textbooks of rhetoric in order to become the
best in the art of eloquence. Incidentally, he stumbles on a book of Cicero that leads in an unexpected
direction. After reading Cicero s Hortensius, Augustine begins to reestablish a relationship with God,
as he says, It altered my outlook on life. It changed my prayers to you, O Lord, and provided me with
new hopes and aspirations...I began to climb out the depths to which I had sunk, in order to return to
you. (III.4, pp58 59). Among all his companions, only Augustine is able to see beneath the surface of
Hortensius eloquence and embrace its truth. This is important to highlight because Augustine s focus
on the literary work s content rather than its style indicates an awareness that is not found anywhere
else in Book III. Augustine s language is able to show that he sees the truth of Hortensius with the use
of hopes and aspirations , and the positive connotation conveyed through these words contrasts with
the negative implication of lust. For the first time in the book, Augustine sees beyond his lust and
metaphorically begins to climb out the depths of the hissing cauldron in the first sentence.
Nonetheless, his transfiguration is uncomplete because it is missing God Himself. Augustine explains
this when he says, These were the words which excited me and set me burning with fire, and the only
check to this blaze of enthusiasm was that they made no mention of the name of Christ. (III.4, pp59).
The only things that checks Augustine s enthusiasm for Cicero s book is that it made no mention of the

along the palate, sometimes along the gums of the upper teeth or even along the lower jaw (tongue or
the gums of the lower teeth) respectively. It may show up alone or along with the rash along your skin.
Like the skin lesions they will typically stay to one side of the mouth and they will distinguish
themselves from oral blisters. They will typically show as 1 4mm opaque vesicles which will break
down quickly to leave ulcers that will heal in about 10 14 days. Prodromal pain, occurring before the
rash, could be confused with that of a toothache ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Very few diseases produce such a rash so differentiating between them from others is simple. Herpes
simplex virus (HSV) can produce such a rash but only occasionally. If there isn t a rash or it hasn t
developed yet then shingles can be difficult to diagnose. Apart from the rash the other symptoms
(fever, headache, possible sensitivity to light and pain) can be linked to many other conditions. The
Tzanck smear is helpful in determining an acute infection of herpes virus though it doesn t distinguish
between HSV and VZV. If you suspect that its shingles a trip to your doctor can help diagnose if the
rash hasn t produced yet. A simple blood test can determine if you have VZV specific IgM antibodies
in your blood. This particular antibody only appears when you have chickenpox or shingles, never
when the virus is dormant. In larger laboratories they collect lymph from one of the blisters to test for
the VZV DNA or to look with an electron microscope for virus particles. Molecular biology tests are
based on in vitro nucleic acid amplification (PCR testing) which is currently the most reliable. Nested
PCR tests have a high sensitivity and are susceptible to contamination which leads to a false positive.
The latest real time PCR tests are rapid, easy to perform and just as sensitive as nested PCR and have
a lower chance of contamination and are more sensitive than viral

Task 2 Moving To An English-Speaking Country
Task 1a
It can be hard moving from one place to another, especially if you speak another language and have
different cultures. Moving to a new place can be like moving to a completely new world for some
people. Doing stuff like go to the supermarket, library or school can be challenging. There are things
we can do to help these newcomers, and to make them feel more welcome. We can for instance talk
English with them. By doing that, they will understand more of what we are saying. We can also try to
speak slowly, so it is easier for the newcomers to understand.
Another thing that would really help would be to have some cultural offerings for the newcomers.
People could meet and get to know each other. The newcomers also may learn something about ...

You cannot continue speaking your main language, and you may have to learn the new language.
Some languages may be harder to learn than others may, but one of the easiest language to master
must be English. At least for us Norwegians.
Since we have English as a class already in elementary school, English is the language we Norwegians
know best, except from Norwegian. We learn English every week throughout the whole school. Not
only do we learn English in school, but we also see English movies, read English news and listen to
English music. Our country is full off English, so it is hard to avoid it.
I think the main challenge for us moving to an English speaking country would be to speak English.
That would be because we do not speak as much English as we read. It would be especially hard to
speak English in countries like Scotland, due to the Scottish accent. Conversations would sometimes
be hard to take a part of, and understanding what the teacher talks about could also be a challenge. In
the beginning, you would probably have the person to speak slowly and repeat the sentence many
times. Also new expressions like pound, feet and miles would be hard to understand. We would
always have to translate the pounds into Norwegian money to see how much money it really is. After a
while, we may manage to just look at the pounds and realize how much Norwegian kroner that would
be.

Rowling moved away from her family so she could live in Portugal, where she met Jorge Arantes, a

The Symbols of the Allegory of the Cave
The Symbols of The Allegory of the cave
The Allegory of the Cave , is a kind of theory by Plato. In the story, there are three prisoners, sitting in
a cave facing the back wall. They are chained at the neck and cannot turn their heads. Behind them is a
fire. Between the fire and the cave wall there is a ridge in which puppets of sorts move along and cast
shadows on the wall. None of this can be seen by the prisoners. At the opposite end of the cave,
behind them, is the exit which leads up to the outside world. Then, one of the prisoner gets free. It s
painful to leave the cave physically as he hasn t moved in years and has never seen real light of the
sun, but once he gets used to it, he sees the world for what it really is. Later, he ... Show more content

It also represents radiant energy. It is a good omen to have the sun shining in your dream
(Dreammoods.com). But to the prisoner the sun represents truth, those who resided in the cave for so
long lived a life of ignorance and watched shadows on the cave wall. These shadows became their
world, the shadows became their image of their world. Those who chose to stay chose to accept how
things are, but the few who chose to see what is causing these shadows on the wall explored outside of
the cave and became temporarily blinded by the light from the sun (they became enlightened)
becoming temporarily blind from the sun represents that enlightenment because now that you know
what is causing these shadows you will never go back into that cave because now you have discovered
a world that is more real. What causes us to see what we see is light, without light we are blind.
Without truth we are nothing.
The prisoners despise the freed prisoner who has been outside the cave who is representing the
philosopher, because he tells them everything they know is a lie and unreal, and also because he
appears to them to be a complete fool. He stagger around in the darkness due to the fact he has been
out in the sunlight and his eyes have not adjusted to the darkness again. And if someone do that, They
would put him to death (Plato). The ability to listen to the freed prisoner and explore the world outside
the cave. But the prisoners

These two definitions relate to and are applicable to Escobar who organized and led the Medellin

to handle a majority of his affairs. This network was divided into subgroups, each delegated to their
special assigned category that included, but not limited to, finances, social, military, personal, family,
public, economic, political, law enforcement, and the media. These groups and sub groups in return
received an unlimited amount of resources to handle affairs and protection from authorities or anyone
attempting to interfere or disrupt their business. By creating several branches to facilitate his
organization, this permitted his growth in influence and dominance. Each group separately handled his
outlets which afforded him the opportunity to succeed in many ways, but ultimately resulted in failure
as he became a distracted, confused, and disoriented leader. His organization was large, but through
his own mistakes or missteps the organization was dismantled further contributing to his expiration.
The organization was largely controlled by money and through violence. On a large scale, the
organization stretched out from his country to other countries that was well controlled allowing for
enormous profits and great power. Escobar sought compliance in every form and by any means

War, Disobedience And Provision From Judges And Carries...
1 Samuel picks up the theme of war, disobedience and provision from Judges and carries them
forward through God s use of Samuel and Saul. God used them to bring Israel victory over their
oppressors despite Israel s continued disobedience. Through his provision of the judges, victories and
kings, God displayed his omnipotence over the Israelites. Since these themes are carried over
throughout Judges and 1 Samuel, God is shown to be the same God over his people.
From the start of Judges, war is a prevalent theme. This theme is present in the first verse when the
Israelites asked, Who shall go... against the Canaanites to fight against them? Time and time again the
Lord raised up judges to deliver Israel from the oppression they faced. Even Gideon was referred to by
God as a mighty warrior in chapter 6. Similar to the judges, Samuel was called by God to deliver the
people. According to the New Oxford Annotated Bible, Samuel is depicted as a transitional figure
leading up to the king the people asked for. Saul was appointed the king despite God s warning that,
he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands...to make his implements of war and the
equipment of his chariots in chapter 8. Saul s reign continued the theme of war present in Judges and 1
Samuel. The Philistines were still a strong force to be reckoned with. The Israelites were humbled
when defeated by the Philistines. As a result, they went back to their roots, the Ark of the Covenant.

What Are The Strengths And Weaknesses Of The Black-Scholes...
Introduction
In 1973, Fischer Black and Myron Scholes first published the Black Scholes Model in the paper, The
Pricing of Options and Corporate Liabilities , published in the Journal of Political Economy. From this
model, the Black Scholes option pricing Model (BSM) was deduced as a means to price European
options.
The simplicity of the use of the BSM allowed traders to effectively price and trade options and
derivatives in markets all over the world. It is still widely used today, although with some
modifications, by market participants.
This paper seeks to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the Black Scholes option pricing model.

Therefore, the Black and Scholes (1973) methodology can be used for valuing convertible bonds.
However, the writer finds that the original BSM may require some modifications to value CBs. The
reason behind this is based on some of the unrealistic assumptions used by the BSM;
American Exercise Terms
The BSM offers a good framework to begin in valuing such an option. However, it must be noted that
CBs often make use of options with American terms, which the original BSM is unable to price. Han
and Wu (2003) suggest a modification of the BSM to a standard forward diffusion equation over an
infinite domain.
Dividends
The original BSM assumes that the underlying security does not pay dividends, however in reality,
many companies pay dividends on their stocks. This requires for the BSM to be adjusted by
subtracting the discounted value of the dividend from the stock price. However, overestimating or
underestimating this dividend could adversely affect the value of the option, leading to a possible
misprice on the

utility wires, which

  • 2. Sildenafil Jelly Research Paper Many people find it difficult to swallow a pill. They often feel that they can choke on the pill or simply suffer from a mental block when it comes to taking oral medicines. We recognise the problems of such patients and therefore, recommend that these patients need to find alternative methods to take the required medicines. Take the example of patients who are suffering from erectile dysfunction. The inability to have a hard on can really decrease the confidence of the patients who are suffering from this condition. They are certainly in need of a strong intervention. One of the best ways to get medicine is to use Kamagra oral jelly. It is a flavoured oral composition that allows you to take sildenafil, while still enjoying the fruity flavour ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Importance Of Bias In Literature Few modern authors have had as profound an effect on their genre, society, political debate, or literature in general as Robert Heinlein. Science fiction author Ken Macleod suggests that the world was having a dialogue with Heinlein, unfortunately, one of the unintentional consequences of dialogue is misunderstanding, some of which is caused by reader bias (Macleod, James, Mendlesohn 231). Bias is dangerous to readers and they should, consequently, avoid it for at least three reasons; first, it causes a work or author to be regarded in many contradicting ways; second, it creates an atmosphere in which faulty arguments are made, and third, it results in significant elements of the story being ignored. Though, one should not construe this in such a way as to denote that this report is so much about the book itself as about the overall scope of it in relation to Heinlein, the bias levied for or against the book and him as well as their overall message, and the meaning of the work itself. It is vital that it be understood that in this context bias is any tendency to judge something either more or less favorably based on preexisting notions rather than on the data presented. It is equally important to understand that the human mind looks for patterns, the term for this phenomenon is pareidolia, in which people see hidden faces in clouds or even hear nonexistent messages in songs. It is because the mind seeks to recognize patterns, even where none exist. Similarly, people who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Speech On Redundant Writing Stop Over Explaining; I Get It! A curse of being a writer is the compulsion to edit. Take the sign on my walking trail, for example. It reads, Watered by well water. One of these days, no matter how hard I try to resist, I just know I m going to paint it out to read, Irrigated by well water. If you don t get this, it s because you re not a writer. ― Ron Brackin Redundancy 101 Redundant writing is verbose or long winded, bombastic, pompous, effusive, or wordy. Oh, and redundant words just repeat the point. However, there may be times that redundancy is good writing, if it reduces the chances of the words being misread or misinterpreted. Looking at the first sentence, maybe I was concerned that not all readers would know the meaning of verbose , so I wrote several other similar words rather like a built in Thesaurus. Some readers may appreciate that they don t have to look the word up in a dictionary, but I ll beat that more readers were annoyed. Granted, I am someone that values dictionaries and if I find a word I don t know, I look it up. However, I can also provide a link for questionable words, and not belabor the point. Readers then have the option to click the link or continue with their reading. Recognizing Redundancy Simply put, redundant writing is using words or phrases that are unnecessary. As Strunk and White tell us in Elements of Style, Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Great War And Modern Memory By Paul Fussell In 1975 the Oxford University Press published the first edition of The Great War and Modern Memory written by Paul Fussell. As Fussell states in the opening line, this book is about the British experience on the Western Front from 1914 to 1918. In this paper I will argue, that despite the numerous literary awards this book has won, it contains historical inaccuracies and shortcomings in relation to the accurate information provided that takes away from the prestige of the book. Despite the numerous negative aspects of the book, this paper will also briefly highlight the few positive areas of the book, therefore providing an in depth analysis of the book. When analyzing any sort of book, it is best for the reader to have a basic summary and understanding of the books arguments and evidence in order to understand further arguments made about said book. It is important to note at the beginning of this paper that Fussell fought in the Second World War, something he does not mention until the end of his book. Fussell also states that as wounded ex infantry officer, who is fascinated and at times obsessed with his own experience in Europe during the Second World War, he related his circumstances to those that he wrote about who participated in the First World War. It is important to keep in mind because it may influence how Fussell wrote his book and the reader should be aware of this fact while reading this analysis of his work. Fussell s book contains nine chapters that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The purpose of this briefing note is to present recommendations regarding the resettlement of Syrian refugees in Canada, as there is a need for improved health and social support services. Social workers in particular have a crucial role in the resettlement and successful integration of Syrian refugees in Canada. Background Information and Summary of Key Points In response to the ongoing conflict in Syria, the Government of Canada, private sponsors and other organizations plan to resettle over 25,000 Syrian refugees (Government of Canada, 2016). Refugee status is determined in accordance with the eligibility criteria and regulations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Acculturation and integration is often a stressful process for both individuals and families (Lacroix, 2003). Therefore as social workers, it is vital to recognize and understand the history, traditions, values, family structures and cultures of refugees, as those deeply rooted experiences shape and alter their lives (Thomas Bernard Moriah, 2007). Recommendations Improve access to information on how to navigate necessary health and social services. Offer health and social services in the client s own language, which may involve hiring Syrian refugees with lived experiences, interpreters, and/or cultural brokers. Implement mandatory education and training programs on the complex nature of resettlement and integration to ensure health care and social service providers are practicing in a culturally competent and safe way. • 7. Scsd Cell Theory Cell Theory is a way to describe the biology of living things. Cell theory says that the cell is the basic unit of life. Cells by themselves are alive, but they can also be part of a larger living thing. The smallest living organisms (like bacteria but not viruses) and the biggest ones (like humans and whales) are all made of cells. Very small organisms like bacteria and amoebas are only made of one cell each, so they are called unicellular organisms ( uni means one ). Larger organisms are made of many cells, and they are called multicellular organisms. Definition: The Cell Theory is one of the basic principles of Biology. Credit for the formulation of this theory is given to German scientists Theodor Schwann, Matthias ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This distortion is introduced by the narrow bandwidth and some distortions due to the media through the optical signals travel. The linear transversal filter is used to reduce symbol interference. My interest only grew after I saw my first human brain specimen on the anatomy dissection table and closely examined the small but brilliant structures on that cadaver brain. It was then I knew I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to learn all I could about this powerful organ. Just prior to medical school I had witnessed the devastating effects of Alzhiemer s disease on a family member and saw first hand how the lack of information about the etiology of this disease and the limited amount of breakthroughs about the treatment to stop or reverse its progression provided care difficult. Because they are highly defensive and will attack perceived intruders more readily than the common European honeybee, they are also known by the popular name of killer bees. Brazilian scientists imported African honeybee queens in the 1950 s in order to breed a honeybee for use in tropical climates. Some swarms escaped into the wild. Because they were highly adapted for tropical survival and had no natural competitors, they thrived and spread rapidly through South America, extending their range by as much as 500 km (300 mi) per year. Africanized honey bees are not expected to have the same impact in the United States because of advanced beekeeping technology and climatic limitations on the spread of the species. Africanization of beehives can be prevented by the annual introduction of new European queens to each colony. Africanized honeybees have increased the number of human deaths due to bee stings in Mexico and Argentina and probably in other countries. In the United States, however, although more people have been stung by bees since 1990, no more bee related deaths than usual have been recorded. Conclusions: The idea of killer bees is one that is created more by the media and misinformation than actual fact. Killer bees rarely if ever kill a victim. In addition, a killer bee scare in the United States would be completely unfounded and unnecessary. Using theory integration or the multifactor approach, the findings reveal there are several factors influencing sex offender recidivism. Both chemical castration and physical castration have the potential to reduce the recidivism rates of sex offenders by lowering testosterone levels, diminishing sexual urges, and making sexual urges more controllable if the sexual urges are motivated by increased testosterone levels. Based on theory integration, most sex offences ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Chemical castration has been studied for the last twenty five years, however, due to the newness of legislation in the United States, there have not been many long term research projects involving the effectiveness of chemical castration in reducing sex offender recidivism rates completed in the United States. However, one such study by Meyer, Cole, and Emory published in 1997 looks promising. The study compared recidivism rates of 40 convicted sex offenders treated over a period of years with medroxyprogesterone and psychotherapy, with recidivism rates of offenders who refused medroxyprogesterone therapy but received psychotherapy and found that only 18% receiving medroxyprogesterone re offended, while 35% of those not receiving therapy re offended. Physical or surgical castration is the removal of the testes and replacement with prostheses in order to reduce testosterone production, therefore, diminishing sexual urges and making behavior more controllable. Sex offenders can opt to have surgical castration; however, it is not mandated by state legislatures in the United States. As with chemical castration, there has not been extensive or long term research on the use of surgical castration to reduce the recidivism rates of sex offenders in the United States. Some embrace the feeling of fear; others try to overcome obstacles that fear creates. Sometimes, fear stimulates a strong response of self isolation to shield one s mind from accepting emotion. This response, however, can manifest into an extreme nature, creating the personality that Gilbert Grape exhibits. Peter Hedges clearly communicates the fact that Gilbert underwent a transformation and his personality reflects the change. The transformation not only causes Gilbert to become conflicted with expressing his feelings, but he fears the guilt of doing so as well. Gilbert struggles with his family controlling his opinions, emotions and actions. Peter Hedges illustrates the crippling nature of fear in What s Eating Gilbert Grape. Gilbert becomes emotionally isolated due to his fear of judgment. The relationship between Gilbert and his family strained by the fear to act and the reality of his life creates the alienated personality readers see. Throughout What s Eating Gilbert Grape, examples of his fear of judgment crippling him begin to surface. Gilbert says, Something is not right about all this food going to my house. • 21. Augustine s Confessions Rhetorical Analysis Augustine s Confessions is an autobiography written around 400 A.D which details his spiritual journey, and each of the books address a certain element of Augustine s steps in his spiritual path. In Book III, he develops his overcoming of lust by introducing the book with the line: I went to Carthage, where I found myself in the midst of a hissing cauldron of lust. (III.1, pp55). The theme of non sexual lust instantly becomes the focal point of the book and Augustine presents the hissing cauldron as a low point in his relationship with God, for he wanders away from his creator by loving his own ways; however, he later discovers this was merely lust compared to the true love of God. Augustine yearns to be a great rhetorician and studies the textbooks of rhetoric in order to become the best in the art of eloquence. Incidentally, he stumbles on a book of Cicero that leads in an unexpected direction. After reading Cicero s Hortensius, Augustine begins to reestablish a relationship with God, as he says, It altered my outlook on life. It changed my prayers to you, O Lord, and provided me with new hopes and aspirations...I began to climb out the depths to which I had sunk, in order to return to you. (III.4, pp58 59). Among all his companions, only Augustine is able to see beneath the surface of Hortensius eloquence and embrace its truth. This is important to highlight because Augustine s focus on the literary work s content rather than its style indicates an awareness that is not found anywhere else in Book III. Augustine s language is able to show that he sees the truth of Hortensius with the use of hopes and aspirations , and the positive connotation conveyed through these words contrasts with the negative implication of lust. For the first time in the book, Augustine sees beyond his lust and metaphorically begins to climb out the depths of the hissing cauldron in the first sentence. Nonetheless, his transfiguration is uncomplete because it is missing God Himself. Augustine explains this when he says, These were the words which excited me and set me burning with fire, and the only check to this blaze of enthusiasm was that they made no mention of the name of Christ. If there isn t a rash or it hasn t developed yet then shingles can be difficult to diagnose. Apart from the rash the other symptoms (fever, headache, possible sensitivity to light and pain) can be linked to many other conditions. The Tzanck smear is helpful in determining an acute infection of herpes virus though it doesn t distinguish between HSV and VZV. If you suspect that its shingles a trip to your doctor can help diagnose if the rash hasn t produced yet. A simple blood test can determine if you have VZV specific IgM antibodies in your blood. This particular antibody only appears when you have chickenpox or shingles, never when the virus is dormant. In larger laboratories they collect lymph from one of the blisters to test for the VZV DNA or to look with an electron microscope for virus particles. To my immense frustration, I didn t have a pen that worked, and I was too shy to ask anybody if I could borrow one. At first, Rowling wrote Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone in private. She hadn t told anyone her project, and only a few people knew that she was writing anything of importance. In December 1990, before Rowling had told her mother anything, Anne died after suffering from multiple sclerosis for ten years. Her death affected Rowling greatly, and impacted her writing. Due to the death, Rowling could go much more into depth of the killing of Harry s parents, and how he felt, all because she felt it too. Rowling moved away from her family so she could live in Portugal, where she met Jorge Arantes, a Portuguese journalist. In October 1992, Rowling married Jorge, and their daughter, Jessica Isabel, was born in Portugal on the 27th of July, 1993. A couple of months later the couple separated (eventually divorced in 1994); many say that Rowling had been abused during the marriage, but the truth has been kept quiet. The following month, Rowling and her daughter moved to Scotland, near her sister. Being jobless, divorced, and raising a child by herself, Rowling was not happy with her life. In the story, there are three prisoners, sitting in a cave facing the back wall. They are chained at the neck and cannot turn their heads. Behind them is a fire. Between the fire and the cave wall there is a ridge in which puppets of sorts move along and cast shadows on the wall. None of this can be seen by the prisoners. At the opposite end of the cave, behind them, is the exit which leads up to the outside world. Then, one of the prisoner gets free. But to the prisoner the sun represents truth, those who resided in the cave for so long lived a life of ignorance and watched shadows on the cave wall. These shadows became their world, the shadows became their image of their world. Those who chose to stay chose to accept how things are, but the few who chose to see what is causing these shadows on the wall explored outside of the cave and became temporarily blinded by the light from the sun (they became enlightened) becoming temporarily blind from the sun represents that enlightenment because now that you know what is causing these shadows you will never go back into that cave because now you have discovered a world that is more real. What causes us to see what we see is light, without light we are blind. Without truth we are nothing. The prisoners despise the freed prisoner who has been outside the cave who is representing the philosopher, because he tells them everything they know is a lie and unreal, and also because he appears to them to be a complete fool. He stagger around in the darkness due to the fact he has been out in the sunlight and his eyes have not adjusted to the darkness again. And if someone do that, They would put him to death (Plato). • 35. War, Disobedience And Provision From Judges And Carries... 1 Samuel picks up the theme of war, disobedience and provision from Judges and carries them forward through God s use of Samuel and Saul. God used them to bring Israel victory over their oppressors despite Israel s continued disobedience. Through his provision of the judges, victories and kings, God displayed his omnipotence over the Israelites. Since these themes are carried over throughout Judges and 1 Samuel, God is shown to be the same God over his people. From the start of Judges, war is a prevalent theme. This theme is present in the first verse when the Israelites asked, Who shall go... against the Canaanites to fight against them? Time and time again the Lord raised up judges to deliver Israel from the oppression they faced. Even Gideon was referred to by God as a mighty warrior in chapter 6. Similar to the judges, Samuel was called by God to deliver the people. According to the New Oxford Annotated Bible, Samuel is depicted as a transitional figure leading up to the king the people asked for. Saul was appointed the king despite God s warning that, he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands...to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots in chapter 8. Saul s reign continued the theme of war present in Judges and 1 Samuel. The Philistines were still a strong force to be reckoned with. The Israelites were humbled when defeated by the Philistines. Introduction In 1973, Fischer Black and Myron Scholes first published the Black Scholes Model in the paper, The Pricing of Options and Corporate Liabilities , published in the Journal of Political Economy. From this model, the Black Scholes option pricing Model (BSM) was deduced as a means to price European options. The simplicity of the use of the BSM allowed traders to effectively price and trade options and derivatives in markets all over the world. Therefore, the Black and Scholes (1973) methodology can be used for valuing convertible bonds. However, the writer finds that the original BSM may require some modifications to value CBs. The reason behind this is based on some of the unrealistic assumptions used by the BSM; American Exercise Terms The BSM offers a good framework to begin in valuing such an option. However, it must be noted that CBs often make use of options with American terms, which the original BSM is unable to price. Han and Wu (2003) suggest a modification of the BSM to a standard forward diffusion equation over an infinite domain. Dividends The original BSM assumes that the underlying security does not pay dividends, however in reality, many companies pay dividends on their stocks. This requires for the BSM to be adjusted by subtracting the discounted value of the dividend from the stock price.
