ALBERT ABERNATHY www.republicjewelry.com Major League Baseball Player, A native of Stanley, North Carolina, Abernathy made his major league debut on April 13, 1934, and played his final game on September 30, 1982. At 6'4”, and 215lbs, Abernathy played the position of pitcher for the Washington Senators. Abernathy appeared in 681 games, had 148 saves, had a 63-69 record, and a 3.46 for his earned run average. . Abernathy died in Gastonia, North Carolina, in December 2004, when he was 71 years old. He had battled Alzheimer's disease for eight years.

62. Hitler became the dictator of Germany in 1933. He was the leader of the most dominate political party in the 1930’s-1940’s, The Nazis. Hitler and the Nazis despised Jews and worked very hard to get them out of the country. The Nazis closed down or even destroyed Jewish shops so that the Jews would be out of work and hopefully migrate.
