The Public Library of New London is celebrating the first annual Take Your Child to the Library Day on February 4th between 10:30 am and 3 pm. Children can make bookmarks, have stories read to them, and eat cookies. The event was inspired by a children's librarian who wanted to create a day similar to Take Your Child to the Bookstore Day to promote libraries.
This PowerPoint helps students to consider the concept of infinity.

*A few months ago, Nadine Lipman, Waterford Public Library Children’s Librarian, saw an
advertisement for a “Take You Child to the Bookstore Day” and thought, why not a “Take Your
Child to the Library Day?” The idea multiplied like bunnies and the children’s departments of
almost every public library in the state of Connecticut, and even some beyond, have decided to
celebrate the first Saturday of every February as Take Your Child to the Library Day! Thank you
to Nancy Elizabeth Wallace, children’s book artist extraordinaire, for the bunny graphic!
