When the Minnesota Orchestra lock out led to a cancellation of a field trip, students at Farmington Elementary stepped in to help.

2. Music Teacher Doris McNamara was able to weave in information about each
instrument to match the lessons the students are learning about.

3. A wide variety of band instruments were featured. Students heard their sounds
and learned about them.

4. A student was able to show his violin, talk about his bow and then
play a few short selections.

5. Did you know the Alto Saxaphone has 27 buttons? How does that compare to
the Baritone? These students know all that.…and more!
