3. What is the STaR Chart? It’s a tool designed for use in technology planning, budgeting for resources, and evaluation of progress in local technology projects. It is mandated by law that the chart is completed in order to receive state funding for technology.

Texas Teacher STaR Chart Completed by teachers individually to correlate with the Campus STaR Chart and draws measures from a variety of national and state technology guidelines Measures how well teachers are equipped to educate students with the knowledge and skills needed in today’s technology driven society
7. Texas Campus STaR Chart Provides a profile of a campus’ status toward reaching the goal of the Long Range Plan for Technology (LRPT) and No Child Left Behind (NCLB). Each campus is given the following types of ratings in each key area Early Tech- instruction is teacher-centered Developing Tech-teacher-directed, regular use of tech Advanced Tech-teacher-facilitated Target Tech-highest level

What evidence can be provided to demonstrate their progress is meeting the goals of the Long Range Technology Plan? What areas should your campus and district focus on to improve the level of technology integration to ensure the best possible teaching and learning for all students?
