UHF AUDIO MONITORING
TMWB
The Time Modulation Very Wide Band
(TMVWB) is a pulsed transmission
technique developed and patented by
BEA.
This proprietary modulation reduces the
probability of detection and interception
with RF detectors or other conventional
sweeping techniques and drastically
reduces the average power consumption
of the transmitter, allowing operating
times over 30 times longer than
conventional transmitters with the same
peak output power level.
TMVWB devices produce an excellent
audio quality thanks to the wide
bandwidth and high dynamic range, and
are particularly indicated for long term
deployments using small battery packs.
The TMVWB family of transmitters is characterised by a thin package, making it an ideal candidate for deployments where deep concealment
is paramount. Available in several versions, each one developed to answer specific operational requirements and fully compatible with all
other system components, BEA’s micro transmitters can also be remotely controlled by an external miniature RF Switch.
Transmitters
Micro2 NT
Represents the basic transmitter of the
TMVWB family and is characterised by an
exceptionally small footprint. Its very low
power consumption allows operating
times in excess of 700 hours using a
standard 9 volt Lithium non rechargeable
battery.
Adoption of the latest generation of
semiconductor devices and a carefully
designed layout ensure frequency
stability and power efficiency. It can be
easily concealed, and includes a thin wire
antenna for quick transmitter installation
and rapid system deployment.
Micro2 HP NT
A high powered version of the Micro2 NT
is also available in order to provide a
robust radio link in situations where
longer distances between the target and
the observation post may be required.
The addition of an internal RF amplifier
increases the operational range of the
Micro2 HP NT transmitter whilst
maintaining power consumption well
within the capability of battery packs.
The built-in AGC ensures an optimal
audio level even in difficult acoustical
environments.
Micro3
A revised modulator gives Micro3 an
extended audio bandwidth of up to 8
KHz, providing exceptional speech
intelligibility even in reverberant
acoustical environments.
The built-in automatic microphone gain
control ensures that an optimal audio
level is transmitted at all times,
irrespective of the acoustical level in the
environment.
Micro2 ST
Micro2 ST pushes the boundaries of
concealment & miniaturisation.
This special-purpose transmitter uses a
proprietary low profile radiator and
matching network design instead of the
usual 1/4 wave wire antenna.
The solution decreases its effective
footprint and thus allows rapid
deployment in confined spaces without
the need to worry about the placement
of the antenna.
Micro2 Magnetic
Micro2 Magnetic is a coin-shaped
transmitter with microphone, antenna
and battery embedded in a compact
package.
The magnetic support allows quick
installations onto metal surfaces that,
thanks to our proprietary matching
network, will also act as an antenna.
Easy to use and to conceal: once set up,
the two non-rechargeable Lithium
batteries ensure up approx. 200 hours
working.
NEW
Master MTC
Universal docking station for all BEA RF
audio transmitters: it contains the user
interface, power management system,
audio and control buses management.
Different RF modules can be seamlessly
fitted onto the receiver: this approach
has the advantage of providing the end
user with a common receiving platform
that can be used with a variety of covert
transmitters, substantially reducing costs
and the amount of training required
whenever a new covert device is
introduced in the end user's kit.
A user-friendly interface enables
monitoring of the device’s status,
switching of the reception frequency and
control of the optional audio recorder.
External connectors, carrying digital and
analogue audio signals, allow for live
monitoring and re-routing of the signal
via other RF or wired vectors and the
built-in rechargeable lithium battery
pack gives up to 8h of continuous
operation.
REC VERSION
On request, the MTC can also be
equipped with an embedded digital
recorder; the recorded audio can be
retrieved using a custom software
application thus ensuring the safety of
the recorded tracks.
Memory sizes of up to 16GB are currently
supported by the device.
Modulo MC
The Modulo MC receives and
demodulates the RF signal from all our
TMVWB transmitters.
Baseband demodulation and processing
is carried out by a high performance
microcontroller, allowing a better signal
to noise ratio compared to receivers from
the previous generation.
Receivers
Micro RL NT
Compact single channel receiver unit
designed for quick operations.
The Micro RL NT is factory set on the
frequency and bandwidth of a chosen
transmitter (Micro2 or Micro3 family).
NT and PLUS REC VERSION
The recorded audio is saved to a removable microSD card using a proprietary file system
that can only be read by a specialized software application provided by BEA. This ensures
that only authorized parties can access the recordings.
Micro RL PLUS
Micro RL PLUS has 4 factory set
frequencies: 300 | 325 | 345 | 365 MHz
that can be manually selected by the
user.
Micro3 signal requires dedicated version.
The receiving part of the system offers two options:
- a modular solution allowing to manage Micro2 and Micro3 transmitters set on different frequencies and with advanced features.
- a compact dedicated tactical receiver, MICRO RL, factory set on specific Micro2 or Micro3 transmitter frequencies.
The REC version embeds an SD-card based digital recorder, where audio is saved using a proprietary file system.
Relaunchers
Delta
GSM repeater for the TMVWB
transmitters. It features an auxiliary audio
input that can be used to connect a local
microphone or an additional RF receiver.
Receiver frequency can be changed
remotely and an integrated AFC
periodically tracks the transmitter
frequency, ensuring automatic correction
of any drift.
Dual SIM capability increases the
reliability of the communication. The
device provides several sensors that can
be programmed to trigger a call and/or a
recording, as well as auxiliary digital
Inputs and Outputs. Alarms and
behaviours can be programmed via
DTMF, SMS messages and using the
optional PC interface ENEA MANAGER,
allowing also the scheduling of
unattended activities. Micro3 T requires
dedicated version.
REC VERSION
An internal solid state recorder is
provided in the Delta REC version,
allowing local audio recording as well as
real time monitoring. Audio files can be
created whilst the GSM module is off and
downloaded at a later time, thus
preventing discovery during an anti-
sweeping activity. Track length can be
configured by the user for easier
download and processing. Max.
recording capacity: 18 hours.
Ponte NT
Ponte is a power efficient repeater for
transmitters belonging to the TMVWB
family. The signal received by the Modulo
MC interfaced to the repeater is
retransmitted over one of four available
channels within the same 300-390 MHz
band.
It incorporates an automatic frequency
correction algorithm that ensures long-
term signal quality during extended
deployments in harsh environments.
An internal rechargeable battery pack
allows rapid deployment of the Ponte
even when a power source is not
immediately available.
RF/GSM Interface
This interface receives and decodes the
signal from the TMVWB transmitters and
forwards it to the GSM audio monitoring
devices ENEA/ENEA REC.
This solution increases the modularity
and interoperability of several BEA
solutions as it allows the Enea device to
manage the input from a wireless
microphone.
Ponte Rugged
Tactical deployment solution embedded
in a ruggedized case. Provided with LiPo
rechargeable batteries for an
autonomous activity.
Capacity can be customized based on
customer needs. LED placed externally on
the case allow a remote monitoring of the
unit activity and of the batteries status.

This stand-alone hardware interface
allows re-routing of the audio signal
received by the modulo MC via digital

The received frequency is set by the
Master MTC and the signal can be

SWITCH is a miniaturised RF controller
that can be used to remotely
enable/disable external loads.
Switch is Configurable via PC and easy to
install since only two connections are
required, one to the DC power supply (up
to 15V) and the other to the load.
The standard receiver can drive a single
external load; on request, however, it is
possible to customize the system,
enabling it to drive up to 3 independent
channels: two with maximum load of 5 A
and one with maximum load of 2 A.
On request, it can also be equipped with
five digital level outputs, enabling the
Switch to interface with external
electronic equipment.
PW 1240
40 mA 12 V power supply for all Micro2
and Micro 3 transmitters.
Micro Battery Stick
Small and slim, it embeds a sensitive
Knowles microphone and a 60 mAh – 12
V LiPo source. It’s the ideal solution for
quick deployment in a short term
installation, where a good radio link is
paramount

Rugged tablet embedding one Micro2 T
HP/Micro 2 NT transmitter and 3 off 1400
mA 3.6 V LiPo batteries.
A switch on the device activates the
transmission.
The transmitter can be removed from the
tablet and used in other concealments.

VicRecorder GSM
This recording suite allows the recording
and processing of audio signals coming
from our range of RF receivers directly on
a standalone PC. It extends the recording
capacity of local receivers by using the PC
HDD. The application is supplied and
licensed on a dongle, giving the user
flexibility on the hardware side.
If a suitable modem is connected, the
application can also manage audio
content delivered through the GSM
network. The audio signal is recorded on
the computer's HDD without alteration
and, for monitoring and playback
purposes, VICRECORDER allows the user
to apply audio enhancement in real time
to both“live”and recorded signals.
The tracks can be managed, processed
and exported in a blotter for evidence
use. CD/DVD Burning functionality is
included.
Gate
Professional lawful interception system
designed to monitor the activity of
multiple targets over fixed and mobile
telephone networks as well as over the
internet.
Gate represents a powerful client/server
solution for Law Enforcement Agencies

dimensions, extensive features and high reliability: ideal for
a quick deployment and for both short and long term

Professional audio surveillance system
employing proprietary digital encoding
and FSK modulation and allowing safe

The system operates between 431 and
439 MHz and its narrow-band emission
resembles that of low bit-rate ISM
telemetry services, thus reducing
detection probability.
Easily configurable: the operating
parameters can be easily set via software,

that combines extremely compact

DigimicroT
Small footprint, high output power and
exceptional audio quality strongly
characterise thetransmitter.Thelevelofthe
RF output power is easily configurable from
50 mW to 800 mW over 5 steps by a
dedicated software interface or from the
Digimicro R receiver.
The audio encoder employed in the
transmitter has a wide bandwidth and high
dynamic range which, when combined
with the ability of configuring the gain of
the microphone front-end, makes the
DigimicroT ideal for deployment in difficult
acoustic environments.
The device is supplied in OEM version with
a heat-shrink sleeve in order to minimise
dimensions or in plastic rugged case.
Digimicro LP
A low powered version of the Digimicro
T is also available in order to provide a
solution in body worn and battery power
supplied application.
The output power is fix on 50 mW and
allows a range up to 300 m. with a
contained power consumption (40mA).
The device is supplied in OEM version
with a grey heat-shrink sleeve in order to
minimise dimensions.

Digimicro R is a light and tactical
receiver, developed to facilitate rapid

of the system's features.
The user is able to program and select up
to eight RF channels and modify the tone
and level of the received audio signal.
User can send the new settings to the
transmitter via serial data cable.
The unit works with an integrated 350
mA rechargeable Li-Po battery granting
approx 8 hours operational activity.
AC/DC adaptor/charger included.
Digimicro Modulo
Digimicro T can also be received by
Digimicro Modulo. It re-launches the
received audio through a dedicated
leased line allowing audio monitoring at
the control centre.
Digimicro Amplifier
The Amplifier acts as test device to check
the transmitter/receiver link and as a
local audio amplifier for live monitoring
of the signal received by the Digimicro
Modulo.

cannot provide a safe or acceptable operating range.
Extensive configurable automatic behaviour, exceptional
audio quality enhanced by high gain microphones and ease
of operation are the main features of our systems.
GSM AUDIO MONITORING
QUICK TIPRF/GSM Interface
Enea features exceptional audio quality
also enhanced by high gain
microphones. The two wired
microphones supplied with the ENEA can
be concealed in different areas of the
target vehicle, making it possible to focus
on conversations in specific location
inside the vehicle.
RF transmitters of the Micro family,
developed and patented by BEA, can be
easily interfaced to the ENEA in order to
extend the operational flexibility of the
unit.
The RF/GSM Interface receives the audio
signal from the TMVWB transmitter and
is connected to the Enea for relaunch via
the GSM channel. The receiving
frequency is remotely programmed via
DTMF.
Using this configuration, the Enea unit
can therefore have remotely selectable
wired and wireless microphones.
Enea System
Enea/Enea Rec
Versatile and flexible state of the art
audio monitoring tool: sensors and
behaviour can be remotely programmed,
allowing the user to update the unit in
real time, according to the operational
needs. It automatically calls the listening
center in case of motion sensor
activation, VOX event or digital input.
Light sensor for discovery detection.
Security Code must be entered in case of
an incoming call from the monitoring
center, to avoid unauthorized listening.
The communication reliability is ensured
by its 2 SIM cards capability. The unit can
be programmed to switch (automatically
or manually) between two GSM
providers, according to the BTS signal
quality.
Enea Rec includes a solid state recorder
with 18 hours recording capacity that can
be activated if the GSM signal is lost or if
RF emission is not advisable. It can be
programmed to automatically start
recording when the audio is detected
even without GSM activation (anti-
sweeping). Recording track length can
be set from 15 up to 1080 minutes.
Manual or automatic track download can
be performed when the operational
conditions allow GSM communications
to take place.
The unit can be remotely programmed
via SMS and DTMF tones or through the
graphic interface ENEA MANAGER
(optional). ENEA can also be set to
transmit status information via SMS.
Enea Manager
Enea Manager is a powerful tool
designed to simplify the tasks of
programming and managing remote
Enea, Enea REC, Delta and Delta REC
units. The software provides the operator
with a friendly graphical user interface
and allows the management of multiple
units.
The audio can be listened to in real time
and simultaneously recorded on the PC's
hard disk. Remotely recorded tracks can
be manually downloaded or scheduled
for automatic recovery at specific times
of the day.
Enea Manager is composed by: Enea
Manager SOFTWARE: proprietary
application GSM modem: custom
modem with embedded DTMF tones
decoding allowing to operate the
software from a mobile workstation.

Buffer Battery
Ancillary equipment to extend the
operational life of the Enea, when the
vehicle power supply is switched off. It is
placed between the Enea and the car
power supply and includes two
rechargeable 1400 mA batteries in a
plastic case allowing full operation for
approx. 5 hrs and approx. 20 hrs in stand-
by. Compatible will all versions of Enea
and Enea Rec
NEW
Easily deployable unit in a robust plastic
case, featuring an embedded GSM
antenna, a sensitive microphone and an
internal rechargeable LiPo battery.
Developed with an emphasis on battery
life, the unit can also be remotely put into
hibernation mode to save even more
power. All operational settings can be
configured remotely via SMS. The unit
acknowledges receipt of the command
with an answer sent by SMS to the
telephone that sent the original request.
Configurable behaviours:
Alarms enable/disable:
- motion sensor: sleeping/wake up of
the unit and voice call to the
programmed number
- Vox sensor: voice call to the
programmed number.
The two sensors can work at the
same time. Alarm release time
configurable between 1-9 minutes.
In case of no repeated alarm the unit
hangs up.
Mute enable/disable: an SMS allows
the unit to accept voice calls. This
message has to be sent before a
manual call to the unit. This serves as
a security feature as well as a filter to
avoid unwanted line engagements
and reduce the amount of battery
consumption
Microphone sensitivity is settable
over 4 levels.
Hang up: it is possible to interrupt
the unit call via SMS
Restore unit default setting
Date and time setting, to program
the internal clock. In case of power
disconnection, the unit loses this
configuration and must be
reprogrammed via SMS.
The unit is able to send an SMS with the
network information relative to the
current active BTS and its neighbours.
These positions can be also displayed on
the tracking GIS application DOGE. The
positions are stored in the database and
can be retrieved for later playback and
analysis.
Thanks to its embedded rechargeable
1400 mA 3.6 V LiPo battery the unit can
transmit audio for approx. 6 hrs
(estimated with a network RSSI of -75
dBm). The battery can be externally
recharged by removing the case
protection lid.
The unit can be supplied with an optional
lid with connector to power the unit from
an external source. Ancillary dedicated
converters for connection to the mains
and to a vehicle, as well as external
battery packs can be supplied on
request.
The basic version uses an embedded
microphone, it is however possible to
supply the unit with an external
microphone. Please contact our office to

ADMFlash
Digital audio micro recorders, extremely
effective and easy to use. Suitable for a
large range of applications and
completely programmable.
Knowles active microphones ensure a
faithful source acquisition and an optimal
intelligibility of speech, even in presence
of strong background noise, without the
typical artefacts associated with the
analysis/ synthesis type of coders (e.g.
GSM, CELP).
Data is recorded on removable microSD.
Compatible Micro SD cards from 1 to 8
Gb per slot. Recording can be activated
automatically by the internal Vox
functionality that allows setting of the
sensitivity threshold and release time.
Audio tracks are encrypted using a
proprietary format and stamped with a
unique watermark assuring their
authenticity.
The recorded files can be downloaded
onto a laptop for immediate
management through the dedicated
ADMFlash software. VIC280 SD recorders
are available in different models
according to the required application:
VIC280 SD, holding 1 microSD card
VIC280 2SD Slim, holding 2
microSD cards
The small dimension make them easy to
conceal in everyday objects. The units are
supplied in a black plastic sleeve to limit
the form factor and contain a
miniaturised Li-Ion rechargeable battery.
On request they can be supplied as OEM
units without battery and sleeve or
customised according to the user’s
operational needs.
ADMFlash is the dedicated software for
the management, filtering and
visualization of audio tracks recorded
using the VIC280 family of micro digital
recorders.
It allows to: program the recorder listen
the recorded tracks download the
recorded tracks on the PC and to convert
them into .WAV and .MP3 format
graphically visualize the proprietary file
format, allowing to listen and eventually
convert only the part of the tracks of
interest improve the speech thanks to a
system of filtering and dynamic
processing tools.

Small dimensions, smart power management, powerful
audio are the common features of BEA GSM tracking
units.
A proprietary algorithm allows an innovative and
accurate positioning, even in the case of lack of GPS
coverage.
When no database of the BTS position is available or a
higher accuracy is needed, it is possible to create
proprietary GSM map of an area using the CSS (Cell Site
Survey System), thus tracking targets without GPS
availability, but with accuracy and reliability.
GSM TRACKING
The SMS sent by the GSM tracking units
to the control centre contains the
information of the Main Cell that
registered the active terminal.
Furthermore the operator can set the
remote unit to send also details on the six
adjacent cells, useful to get the
geographical position of the target.
These information are used by DOGE to
display the position according to the
database available:

Low power compact GSM unit supplied in
plastic cover for concealment on targets.
Easy to program with SMS transmitted by a
mobile phone, it communicates its BTS
positional information via SMS to the
monitoring station, which provides a
display of its location on dedicated maps
using DOGE software.
Polo CSS
Firmware add-on to all Polo versions to
perform data collection for CSS database
creation.
Polo CSS can collect a set of information
about the main BTS to which it is registered
and of its adjacent cells and correlate them
with the corresponding GPS position.
Data collection can be performed even
during the tracking activity: the user can
retrieve the CSS content independently
from the tracking data. Advanced
operational strategies can be performed
with real time data collection.
With Doge CSS version, the user is able to
use the Polo as collector unit, to download
the collected data and to store them into
the database. Doge CSS is an extension that
requires a full of Doge software license.
CSS (Cell Site Survey System)
When no database of the BTS position is
available or a higher accuracy is needed, it is
possible to create proprietary GSM map of
an area using the CSS, thus tracking targets
without GPS availability, but with accuracy
and reliability.
CSS provides more precise target
localisation than Time Advance estimation
alone can. The information sent by the
tracking unit is compared with data stored
in the data base and the most likely target
GPS positions are visualised on the
mapping display.
Developed with particular attention to
power consumption in order to improve the
battery duration, the device is usually
asleep and wakes up according to the
configuration setup. This allows
deployment of the unit weeks before the
operation is due to commence.

FINDER LL a microphone and a panic button
to allow audio monitoring
Remote Units
Data Display
The information sent via SMS are used by
DOGE to display the position according
to the database available.
Free database: DOGE can use free
web database where BTS information is
available to locate the main BTS on a
map. The quality of the positioning
depends on the accuracy of the
database.
GSM provider database: External
database supplied by the Service
Provider can be load on DOGE database.
The data can be processed and reported
on maps using DOGE software, which
displays the area associated with the
BTS(s) where the device is located (Time
Advance location estimation).
Nowadays targets are more and more aware of the possible
threats and use countermeasures to prevent monitoring.
In some operational environments a remotely controlled
store and forward solution can be used to gather
information without emitting detectable radio-frequency
energy.
The WIFI transmission technique is ideal
for store and forward applications
because it enables a faster connection,
better range from the base station, and
better security than Bluetooth.
Moreover, In urban environments, a Wifi
transmission is less suspicious than other
RF emissions.

Thoro
Thoro is a high quality digital audio
recorder developed specifically for covert
applications. Configuration and data
download is performed via WIFI.
The device supports mono and stereo
recording via two external microphones.
The low-noise analogue front-end and
digitally controlled AGC ensures an
optimal signal to noise ratio and its high
quality 16bit ADC provides 86dB of
dynamic range (excluding the AGC).
The audio signal can be digitized using
sampling rates between 8 and 32KHz and
saved to memory in uncompressed PCM.
The recorded audio is saved to an
internal memory using a proprietary file
system. Recordings must be extracted via
a custom application that allows the
conversion to a standard MP3 or WAV file.
The unit, supplied with an 8 GB memory,
allows more than 1 day of audio data to
be stored, using the highest recording
quality (16 bits 32 Khz).
Memory sizes of up to 16GB are currently
supported by the device and are
available on request.
Recording can be automatically activated
by a VOX or vibration event or at specific
times: the internal clock is powered by a
separate miniature rechargeable Lithium
battery, ensuring absolute accuracy of
the recording time-stamps.
Once programmed the user can switch
the WiFi off and activate it manually with
a dedicated remote control that also
manages the unit power supply.
Alternatively, the unit can be set for a
periodic wake up and automatic
download of the tracks.
The configuration is performed over the
air via the WiFi connection:
- recording mode (mono/stereo)
- recording quality (sample rate, bit
depth)
- date/time
- VOX and motion threshold, release
and attack times
- one-off and periodic timed activations
- SSID
- WiFi channel
- automatic WiFi activation and
automatic track download
The unit uses an internal chip antenna
and is supplied in a robust plastic
container. To facilitate its concealment, it
can also be supplied in OEM version with
thermoplastic sleeve that further reduces
the unit’s footprint.
A led on the unit reports power status,
recording and downloading status.
Please contact our Office for
recommended ancillary items, such as
high-gain receiving antennas that can
extend the unit’s operational range.
THORO MANAGER, supplied in the
THORO KIT, is the custom application to
manage the unit, read and download the
audio files.
The "Monitor" feature allows listening to
the live audio and simultaneously record
on the card. The monitoring feature is
meant mainly to test the audio settings
and not to perform a real time audio
monitoring since, due to buffering
requirements, there may be a delay
whose entity depends on the bandwidth
availability (<10 secs). The monitored
audio is sent in the lowest bit depth (8bit)
but is recorded using the settings given
by the user.
BEA tracking units are the result of a cooperative effort
utilising the extensive design and manufacturing
experience of BEA and the real world knowledge of
intelligence professionals.
All tracking units are managed by DOGE, a proprietary
dedicated interface available in client/server or as a
standalone version with web link.
GPS TRACKING
Flexible and modular systems can be
employed both as loggers and as real
time tracking units, managed by a wide
range of options for collecting,
transmitting and displaying geographic
position data on a map.
The units are remotely configurable with
a large number of event-action
combinations, allowing advanced
behaviours and smart power
management.
The positions through the GPS network
can be stored on the units and
transmitted via SMS, CSD, GPRS or
satellite link.

Tracking Devices
Polo NT
Polo NT is the latest addition to the
GSM/GPS tracking product line. BEA has
updated the design of this established
GPS surveillance products to increase
deployment versatility while reducing
enclosure size and power consumption.
Suitable for both tactical and long term
installations, Polo NT is extremely easy to
deploy, thanks to its minimal dimensions:
it is available both in sturdy black
Aluminium case and magnetic support
and in bare-bones format for effective
embedding and camouflage in daily life
objects.
Its multisource power supply allows
connection both to the main source (7-
50 Vdc) of a vehicle and to an external
one 3.7 Vdc buffer battery. The unit
monitors the battery power
consumption.
Polo NT is characterised by an advanced
power saving management:
it is possible to configure alarms to
separately manage the GSM and/or
the GPS module (on/off) and other
functionalities.
the unit is able to monitor the GSM
network: POLO switches the GSM
module off, when no GSM coverage is
detected; a time interval can be set
between new connection attempts.
the unit can be put into hibernation,
allowing it to efficiently work as a
logger.

be enabled to ensure operational
safety.
Polo NT is an intuitive event/action
programmable unit with alarm
activation: movement, geo-fence, clocks,
timers, country change, battery
monitoring, etc. Configuration presets
can be saved for automatic upload on
connection.
Polo NT is remotely managed via SMS
and CSD and sends data via GSM or GPRS
with a proprietary protocol, granting
highly reliable communications. The user
can also view the fix sent on a phone
through the Garmin Mobile XT*
application or via Internet on PDA (e-mail
or DOGE Web Viewer connection).
It works as GSM tracking unit when GPS
coverage fails and sends GSM BTS info to
the DOGE software allowing target
localisation also in difficult conditions.
Memory capacity: up to 1 million fixes.
The data stored on the unit can be
retrieved by the monitoring centre
manually or automatically, through a
selective and secure download that can
be recovered in case of interruption.

Polo XX
This version of Polo is encased in a plastic
case housing two non-rechargeable high
capacity battery. It also embeds GPS and
GSM antenna.
The unit can be set with a basic energy
saving configuration to support
extended deployments without operator
intervention.
Polo XX is provided with a magnetic
mount for fast and easy installation.
Polo NTV
Polo NT with additional possibility of
remotely monitoring the target audio.
The voice feature does not increase the
unit’s footprint and can be managed via
DOGE or SMS. Polo V can be called or
automatically calls the destination
number based on the configured events
automation.
It can transmit GPS position via SMS in
real time in order to track the target and
monitor the audio signal in the vehicle at
the same time. Audio files can be saved
on dedicated applications developed by
BEA.
Caboto
Based on the main features of Polo,
Caboto has in its compact dimension a
3,7 LiPo rechargeable battery and can be
supplied by any source between 7-30
Vdc.
External I/O is provided by an 8 pin
connector that can be used to manage
external activations and devices, as well
as an external auxiliary power supply at
3.6 V.
Caboto is highly configurable and
enables advanced power saving and
events monitoring strategies.

Globo
Additionally to the SMS, CSD and GPRS
communication channels, Globo adds
satellite network service, thus improving
the tracking possibilities in absence of
GSM coverage.
Iridium network enables user to receive
real time cyclical position information
and manage device configuration. It
integrates a Caboto and an Iridium
module, keeping the flexible features of
all BEA GPS units.
It can be powered with an external power
supply ranging from 7 up to 50V. Globo
is able to switch automatically between
GSM and satellite communication
channel following GSM network
availability, or to be selectively registered
to the GSM network or Iridium network
only.
The data message is transmitted across
the Iridium satellite network utilizing
inter-satellite links to reach the Iridium
Gateway.
From there the data message is
transferred via e-mail and stored in a
database for further data processing.
Data messages are delivered following a
“mail-box check” initiated by the remote
application.
Go
GO is a “ready to go” GPS tracking unit
contained in an automotive plastic case
that holds GSM, GPS antennas.
An optional additional lid containing a
1400 mAh Li-Po rechargeable battery
extends the operativity when the main
power source is not available.
It is a powerful remote unit that can work
as a logger or as a real time device unit
with basic tracking configurations. It is
easily event/action programmable.
Our proprietary client/server GIS tracking
application DOGE provides a user
friendly interface to program the unit
and monitor battery capacity.
The unit employs a quad band GSM
modem and uses SMS, CSD or GPRS
protocols to send tracking information &
alarms and receive configuration
settings.

Doge
Proprietary software managing all GPS
and GSM tracking units developed by
BEA.
Flexible and modular, it allows operation
as both standalone workstation and on
client/server basis and to manage a
database with possible selections and
filtering of the contained information.
Its graphic interface is extremely intuitive
and easily customizable by the customer.
User management rights based on
profiles, password protected.
The client/server option allows an
extranet connection on IP address to the
Web Viewer interface.
Communication between the remote
unit and Doge is based on proprietary
protocol, for high reliability & security.
Positions sent by the remote units via
SMS, CSD or GPRS, are displayed on
MapPoint2010, Raster Maps, Google
Maps or played on Google Earth with an
external plug-in. Data can be exported in
real time or saved in NMEA0183 format.

Powerful solution for Law Enforcement Agencies to process
all data acquired and enhance the efficiency of their daily

The client/server architecture centralises the data and
distributes them also to local or remote client workstations.
LAWFUL INTERCEPTION
Gate
The system access to the data is
extremely secure. All collected
information is recorded on a server
where the operational policies are
enabled according to a defined hierarchy.
The clients transmit the entry request to
the service connection manager in an
encrypted way.
At the same time all data are recoded
onto the internal database, becoming
available for future play back, analysis
and investigation.
Login and password are not memorized
on the client to prevent unauthorized
access.
The files exported on CD-ROM/DVD are
encoded with an algorithm to avoid any
unauthorized reading in case of loss.
Server
The client/server system is expandable
and it allows to add more servers to
increase the acquisition performance and
the amount of lines to be monitored.
All clients are connected to the GATE
SEVER through a LAN Network.
Client
GATE CLIENT terminal has been studied
and developed to optimise and speed up
all activities. Through a user friendly
interface the operator can easily manage
all data collected from the monitoring
activity of:

E-mail and Internet web pages
The software allows to manage the
investigation from the very start, taking
advantage of:

pre-recorded play back

Recorded data can be visualized on a
table which sums up the most important
information related to each record.
Filtering of the list allows the operator to
reach the desired record in a fast and
easy way. In case of GSM connection the
position of the BTS to which the target
was registered during the monitoring
activity is shown on the screen thus
enabling also a target positioning.
The system manager can:
Create, modify or delete a complete
monitoring activity that encompasses
communications monitoring, target
tracking and audio eavesdropping.
Create, modify or delete investigation
teams assigned to a monitoring
activity.
Create, modify or delete the profiles
associated to each of the system’s
authorised Operators
Each database line corresponds to a
decree. Clicking on it the administrator
directly visualises and can modify all
details about the decree. The “burn”
feature sets the selected burning device
and the backup interval.
Data Collection
Management
All collected data, coming from all
operators, are available for cross-
processing management. A specific ID
card, containing personal details,
address, vehicles, minutes, etc., can be
connected to each data entry.
Users can play, transcribe or write a brief
resume of the track at the same time. In
case of fast speech or strong
pronunciation, the transcription can be
facilitated by slowing down the speed
during the listening, without altering
pitch and tone.
To facilitate the editing of the draft it is
possible to set the option of cyclical
repeat of the listened track. This feature
can be directly managed by keyboard. It
also possible to insert some track
markers to quickly visualize a relevant
range in the timeline.
Speech identification is made easier by
using the available noise filter.
VICRECORDER
This recording suite allows the recording
and processing of audio signals coming
from our range of RF receivers directly on
a stand alone PC. It extends the
recording capacity of local receivers by
using the PC HDD. The application is
supplied and licensed on a dongle,
giving the user flexibility on the
hardware side.
If a suitable modem is connected, the
application can also manage audio
content delivered through the GSM
network. The audio signal is recorded on
the computer's HDD without alteration
and, for monitoring and playback
purposes, VICRECORDER allows the user
to apply audio enhancement in real time
to both“live”and recorded signals.
The tracks can be managed, processed
and exported in a blotter for evidence
use. CD/DVD Burning functionality is
included.
The tracks can be recorded in three ways:
Signal-driven trigger
The application monitors the level of
the incoming signal and begins
recording once a set threshold is
exceeded.
Manual recording
Recording is manually initiated by the
user via simple commands on the
user interface.
Modem trigger
Recording is initiated once an
incoming call is detected on a GSM
modem connected to the PC.

VICFILTER
VICFILTER is a tactical audio processor,
designed to provide real-time analysis,
filtering and enhancement tools for
audio signals acquired via the sound card
of the PC.
The processed signal can be also
recorded directly to disk. Its simple user
interface and low MIPS requirements
makes it ideal for those operational
scenarios where only a small laptop can
be used.
It also allows to process previously
recorded audio files stored on various
memory support (HD, CD, DVD, USB key).
VICFILTER’s tools allow to reduce the
audio noise and improve speech
intelligibility.
The user interface gives a rapid and
accurate access avoiding complex
windows and menus.
A comprehensive waveform visualiser is
provided, allowing the operator to
concentrate on areas where a vocal
activity is visible.

Jamm Box
Jamm Box is a unit developed to inhibit
GSM, DECT and UMTS frequencies in a
fixed environment and in those
applications where there is lack of
installation space.
It is equipped with four omnidirectional
antennas and can be customised with
different antennas on request.
The unit can be remotely controlled:
start/stop of the inhibition activity and
output power increase/decrease.
Jamm Box Plus
Jamming system for 900/1800/2100 MHz
2400 to 2500 frequencies contained in an
electrical box for easy installation.
The antennas are placed in a separate
box in order to increase installation
flexibility.
Both units are powered by 220V and are
hidden in common electric gray boxes
(230x310x130 mm).
A prior analysis of the installation
environment is necessary in order to
identify the best configuration.
Jamm Bag
Jamming units contained in a rugged
case. The device is manually activated
and is able to jam 2G, 3G, Wifi and
Bluetooth frequencies. It embeds a
rechargeable battery pack that
guarantees 2-3 hours operation and can
be also powered from the mains power
supply. Directional antennas are fitted in
the upper part of the case and can be
replaced by (optional) omnidirectional
ones.

POWER MANAGEMENT
Remote Control
Switch &TC
SWITCH is a radio controller, small and
ready to use, greatly useful to connect
external devices and to control them
remotely.Configurable via PC , it is easy
to set up because it just has two
connectors: one to connect the DC
Power Supply (up to 15V), the other to
connect external equipment.
Using the remote control TC, it can turn
ON or OFF the equipment connected to
the output of receiver.
The standard receiver can drive only one
external equipment. It is possible, on
request, to drive up to 3 independent
channels: two with maximum load of 5 A
and one with maximum load of 2 A.
On demand, it could also be
implemented with five digital I/O that
can work as interface with external
electronic equipment. The SWITCH’s LED
gives an immediate feedback to the
operator through small flashes.

3G based video transmission offering great installation
flexibility and modularity.
All-in-one system that can be easily integrated with all
analogue cameras.
Highly secure transmission thanks to the dynamic
encrypting algorithm.
VIDEO MONITORING
The UMTS technology does not need
connection to the lead line or big size
antenna. The transmitter concealement
is easy even in hostile environments.
It is able to:
transmit via 3G (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS,
CDMA, HSDPA) on IP network, audio,
video (4 CIF) up to 25 fps
record video and/or snapshot of the
images on a removable solid state
memory card
localize and store the GPS position in
the memory, showing them on the
video.
VSGAMMA3
VSGAMMA3 is a video transmitter
operating on 3G Networks. It embeds a
recorder and a GPS receiver. Thanks to
the UMTS technology, it needs neither
connection to a fixed line or large
antennas and is therefore easy to conceal
in hostile environments.
The system transmits and records video
data in H264 format, providing a far more
efficient algorithm for compressing video
than any other compression method
available, giving best performances on
3G channel.
Other codecs with higher definition and
lower compression rates are also
supported (MPEG4, MJPEG). Packet
transmission on TCP/IP or streaming on
RTSP are supported.
RTSP permits higher frame rate whereas
TCP/IP allows synchronised and buffered
audio transmission.
The bidirectional audio transmission can
be configured in high or low quality
(G711 and G723 audio compression) to
either eavesdrop the environment or to
remotely control devices via DTMF tones.
When the UMTS coverage is not
available, it records video data on its
embedded memory card.
The system can be activated by alarms
generated by a video motion detection
or triggered by an input. When an alarm
is detected the unit sends a SMS alarm or
an e-mail containing the first frame of the
video caught. Transmission can be also
programmed based on time setting.
VSGamma3 has 2 inputs and one output
to interact with external sensors. Pan-tilt-
zoom and dome cameras supporting
following protocols SONY VISCA, PELCO
D, PELCO P, SAMSUNG, PHILIPS,
VIDEOTEC, KARATEL can be managed by
joystick or by user console.
Available in two versions to connect one
or up to four analogue cameras.
Professional video recorder software for a
complete top level IP recording system.
The software allows remote visualisation of
multiple sites and territorial areas.
It can records from an unlimited number of
connected clients. Multi-users and multi-
monitors, it operates as HTTP server,
Streaming server and Proxy video. It is
available both in stand-alone and
client/server versions.

Versatile UHF Audio Monitoring System

  • 1. Versatile and modular UHF Audio Monitoring system. High audio quality, low power consumption and miniaturised dimensions thanks to the patentedTMVWB transmission system. Ancillary equipment also allows re-routing of the audio signal through several types of communication channels. UHF AUDIO MONITORING TMWB The Time Modulation Very Wide Band (TMVWB) is a pulsed transmission technique developed and patented by BEA. This proprietary modulation reduces the probability of detection and interception with RF detectors or other conventional sweeping techniques and drastically reduces the average power consumption of the transmitter, allowing operating times over 30 times longer than conventional transmitters with the same peak output power level. TMVWB devices produce an excellent audio quality thanks to the wide bandwidth and high dynamic range, and are particularly indicated for long term deployments using small battery packs.
  • 2. The TMVWB family of transmitters is characterised by a thin package, making it an ideal candidate for deployments where deep concealment is paramount. Available in several versions, each one developed to answer specific operational requirements and fully compatible with all other system components, BEA’s micro transmitters can also be remotely controlled by an external miniature RF Switch. Transmitters Micro2 NT Represents the basic transmitter of the TMVWB family and is characterised by an exceptionally small footprint. Its very low power consumption allows operating times in excess of 700 hours using a standard 9 volt Lithium non rechargeable battery. Adoption of the latest generation of semiconductor devices and a carefully designed layout ensure frequency stability and power efficiency. It can be easily concealed, and includes a thin wire antenna for quick transmitter installation and rapid system deployment. Micro2 HP NT A high powered version of the Micro2 NT is also available in order to provide a robust radio link in situations where longer distances between the target and the observation post may be required. The addition of an internal RF amplifier increases the operational range of the Micro2 HP NT transmitter whilst maintaining power consumption well within the capability of battery packs. The built-in AGC ensures an optimal audio level even in difficult acoustical environments. Micro3 A revised modulator gives Micro3 an extended audio bandwidth of up to 8 KHz, providing exceptional speech intelligibility even in reverberant acoustical environments. The built-in automatic microphone gain control ensures that an optimal audio level is transmitted at all times, irrespective of the acoustical level in the environment. Micro2 ST Micro2 ST pushes the boundaries of concealment & miniaturisation. This special-purpose transmitter uses a proprietary low profile radiator and matching network design instead of the usual 1/4 wave wire antenna. The solution decreases its effective footprint and thus allows rapid deployment in confined spaces without the need to worry about the placement of the antenna. Micro2 Magnetic Micro2 Magnetic is a coin-shaped transmitter with microphone, antenna and battery embedded in a compact package. The magnetic support allows quick installations onto metal surfaces that, thanks to our proprietary matching network, will also act as an antenna. Easy to use and to conceal: once set up, the two non-rechargeable Lithium batteries ensure up approx. 200 hours working. NEW
  • 3. Master MTC Universal docking station for all BEA RF audio transmitters: it contains the user interface, power management system, audio and control buses management. Different RF modules can be seamlessly fitted onto the receiver: this approach has the advantage of providing the end user with a common receiving platform that can be used with a variety of covert transmitters, substantially reducing costs and the amount of training required whenever a new covert device is introduced in the end user's kit. A user-friendly interface enables monitoring of the device’s status, switching of the reception frequency and control of the optional audio recorder. External connectors, carrying digital and analogue audio signals, allow for live monitoring and re-routing of the signal via other RF or wired vectors and the built-in rechargeable lithium battery pack gives up to 8h of continuous operation. REC VERSION On request, the MTC can also be equipped with an embedded digital recorder; the recorded audio can be retrieved using a custom software application thus ensuring the safety of the recorded tracks. Memory sizes of up to 16GB are currently supported by the device. Modulo MC The Modulo MC receives and demodulates the RF signal from all our TMVWB transmitters. Baseband demodulation and processing is carried out by a high performance microcontroller, allowing a better signal to noise ratio compared to receivers from the previous generation. Receivers Micro RL NT Compact single channel receiver unit designed for quick operations. The Micro RL NT is factory set on the frequency and bandwidth of a chosen transmitter (Micro2 or Micro3 family). NT and PLUS REC VERSION The recorded audio is saved to a removable microSD card using a proprietary file system that can only be read by a specialized software application provided by BEA. This ensures that only authorized parties can access the recordings. Micro RL PLUS Micro RL PLUS has 4 factory set frequencies: 300 | 325 | 345 | 365 MHz that can be manually selected by the user. Micro3 signal requires dedicated version. The receiving part of the system offers two options: - a modular solution allowing to manage Micro2 and Micro3 transmitters set on different frequencies and with advanced features. - a compact dedicated tactical receiver, MICRO RL, factory set on specific Micro2 or Micro3 transmitter frequencies. The REC version embeds an SD-card based digital recorder, where audio is saved using a proprietary file system.
  • 4. Relaunchers Delta GSM repeater for the TMVWB transmitters. It features an auxiliary audio input that can be used to connect a local microphone or an additional RF receiver. Receiver frequency can be changed remotely and an integrated AFC periodically tracks the transmitter frequency, ensuring automatic correction of any drift. Dual SIM capability increases the reliability of the communication. The device provides several sensors that can be programmed to trigger a call and/or a recording, as well as auxiliary digital Inputs and Outputs. Alarms and behaviours can be programmed via DTMF, SMS messages and using the optional PC interface ENEA MANAGER, allowing also the scheduling of unattended activities. Micro3 T requires dedicated version. REC VERSION An internal solid state recorder is provided in the Delta REC version, allowing local audio recording as well as real time monitoring. Audio files can be created whilst the GSM module is off and downloaded at a later time, thus preventing discovery during an anti- sweeping activity. Track length can be configured by the user for easier download and processing. Max. recording capacity: 18 hours. Ponte NT Ponte is a power efficient repeater for transmitters belonging to the TMVWB family. The signal received by the Modulo MC interfaced to the repeater is retransmitted over one of four available channels within the same 300-390 MHz band. It incorporates an automatic frequency correction algorithm that ensures long- term signal quality during extended deployments in harsh environments. An internal rechargeable battery pack allows rapid deployment of the Ponte even when a power source is not immediately available. RF/GSM Interface This interface receives and decodes the signal from the TMVWB transmitters and forwards it to the GSM audio monitoring devices ENEA/ENEA REC. This solution increases the modularity and interoperability of several BEA solutions as it allows the Enea device to manage the input from a wireless microphone. Ponte Rugged Tactical deployment solution embedded in a ruggedized case. Provided with LiPo rechargeable batteries for an autonomous activity. Capacity can be customized based on customer needs. LED placed externally on the case allow a remote monitoring of the unit activity and of the batteries status. QUICK TIP Receiver Interface This stand-alone hardware interface allows re-routing of the audio signal received by the modulo MC via digital encoding systems and IP senders. The received frequency is set by the Master MTC and the signal can be monitored locally using headphones.
  • 5. QUICK TIP Power Management Remote Control Switch &TC SWITCH is a miniaturised RF controller that can be used to remotely enable/disable external loads. Switch is Configurable via PC and easy to install since only two connections are required, one to the DC power supply (up to 15V) and the other to the load. The standard receiver can drive a single external load; on request, however, it is possible to customize the system, enabling it to drive up to 3 independent channels: two with maximum load of 5 A and one with maximum load of 2 A. On request, it can also be equipped with five digital level outputs, enabling the Switch to interface with external electronic equipment. PW 1240 40 mA 12 V power supply for all Micro2 and Micro 3 transmitters. Micro Battery Stick Small and slim, it embeds a sensitive Knowles microphone and a 60 mAh – 12 V LiPo source. It’s the ideal solution for quick deployment in a short term installation, where a good radio link is paramount Micro2 HPTablet Rugged tablet embedding one Micro2 T HP/Micro 2 NT transmitter and 3 off 1400 mA 3.6 V LiPo batteries. A switch on the device activates the transmission. The transmitter can be removed from the tablet and used in other concealments.

Based on the complexity of the requirement and the number of target different solutions are available: VicRecorder VicRecorder GSM This recording suite allows the recording and processing of audio signals coming from our range of RF receivers directly on a standalone PC. It extends the recording capacity of local receivers by using the PC HDD. The application is supplied and licensed on a dongle, giving the user flexibility on the hardware side. If a suitable modem is connected, the application can also manage audio content delivered through the GSM network. The audio signal is recorded on the computer's HDD without alteration and, for monitoring and playback purposes, VICRECORDER allows the user to apply audio enhancement in real time to both“live”and recorded signals. The tracks can be managed, processed and exported in a blotter for evidence use. CD/DVD Burning functionality is included. The proprietary audio encoding and encryption minimises the possibility of interception. UHF AUDIO MONITORING DIGITAL Professional audio surveillance system employing proprietary digital encoding and FSK modulation and allowing safe data transmission. The system operates between 431 and 439 MHz and its narrow-band emission resembles that of low bit-rate ISM telemetry services, thus reducing detection probability. Easily configurable: the operating parameters can be easily set via software, with a PC user interface, or directly via the Digimicro R. The system features a digital transmitter, that combines extremely compact dimensions with high output power and exceptional audio quality.

DigimicroT Small footprint, high output power and exceptional audio quality strongly characterise thetransmitter.Thelevelofthe RF output power is easily configurable from 50 mW to 800 mW over 5 steps by a dedicated software interface or from the Digimicro R receiver. The audio encoder employed in the transmitter has a wide bandwidth and high dynamic range which, when combined with the ability of configuring the gain of the microphone front-end, makes the DigimicroT ideal for deployment in difficult acoustic environments. The device is supplied in OEM version with a heat-shrink sleeve in order to minimise dimensions or in plastic rugged case. Digimicro LP A low powered version of the Digimicro T is also available in order to provide a solution in body worn and battery power supplied application. The output power is fix on 50 mW and allows a range up to 300 m. with a contained power consumption (40mA). The device is supplied in OEM version with a grey heat-shrink sleeve in order to minimise dimensions. The RF/GSM Interface receives the audio signal from the TMVWB transmitter and is connected to the Enea for relaunch via the GSM channel. The receiving frequency is remotely programmed via DTMF. Using this configuration, the Enea unit can therefore have remotely selectable wired and wireless microphones. Enea System Enea/Enea Rec Versatile and flexible state of the art audio monitoring tool: sensors and behaviour can be remotely programmed, allowing the user to update the unit in real time, according to the operational needs. Configuration and data download is performed via WIFI. The device supports mono and stereo recording via two external microphones. The low-noise analogue front-end and digitally controlled AGC ensures an optimal signal to noise ratio and its high quality 16bit ADC provides 86dB of dynamic range (excluding the AGC). The audio signal can be digitized using sampling rates between 8 and 32KHz and saved to memory in uncompressed PCM. The recorded audio is saved to an internal memory using a proprietary file system. Recordings must be extracted via a custom application that allows the conversion to a standard MP3 or WAV file. The unit, supplied with an 8 GB memory, allows more than 1 day of audio data to be stored, using the highest recording quality (16 bits 32 Khz). Memory sizes of up to 16GB are currently supported by the device and are available on request. Recording can be automatically activated by a VOX or vibration event or at specific times: the internal clock is powered by a separate miniature rechargeable Lithium battery, ensuring absolute accuracy of the recording time-stamps. Once programmed the user can switch the WiFi off and activate it manually with a dedicated remote control that also manages the unit power supply. Its multisource power supply allows connection both to the main source (7- 50 Vdc) of a vehicle and to an external one 3.7 Vdc buffer battery. The unit monitors the battery power consumption. Polo NT is characterised by an advanced power saving management: it is possible to configure alarms to separately manage the GSM and/or the GPS module (on/off) and other functionalities. the unit is able to monitor the GSM network: POLO switches the GSM module off, when no GSM coverage is detected; a time interval can be set between new connection attempts. the unit can be put into hibernation, allowing it to efficiently work as a logger. automatic antisweeping profiles can be enabled to ensure operational safety. Polo XX is provided with a magnetic mount for fast and easy installation. Polo NTV Polo NT with additional possibility of remotely monitoring the target audio. The voice feature does not increase the unit’s footprint and can be managed via DOGE or SMS. Polo V can be called or automatically calls the destination number based on the configured events automation. It can transmit GPS position via SMS in real time in order to track the target and monitor the audio signal in the vehicle at the same time. It integrates a Caboto and an Iridium module, keeping the flexible features of all BEA GPS units. It can be powered with an external power supply ranging from 7 up to 50V. Globo is able to switch automatically between GSM and satellite communication channel following GSM network availability, or to be selectively registered to the GSM network or Iridium network only. The data message is transmitted across the Iridium satellite network utilizing inter-satellite links to reach the Iridium Gateway. From there the data message is transferred via e-mail and stored in a database for further data processing. Data messages are delivered following a “mail-box check” initiated by the remote application. Go GO is a “ready to go” GPS tracking unit contained in an automotive plastic case that holds GSM, GPS antennas. An optional additional lid containing a 1400 mAh Li-Po rechargeable battery extends the operativity when the main power source is not available. It is a powerful remote unit that can work as a logger or as a real time device unit with basic tracking configurations. It is easily event/action programmable. Our proprietary client/server GIS tracking application DOGE provides a user friendly interface to program the unit and monitor battery capacity.   • 28. Gate The system access to the data is extremely secure. All collected information is recorded on a server where the operational policies are enabled according to a defined hierarchy. The clients transmit the entry request to the service connection manager in an encrypted way. At the same time all data are recoded onto the internal database, becoming available for future play back, analysis and investigation. Login and password are not memorized on the client to prevent unauthorized access. The files exported on CD-ROM/DVD are encoded with an algorithm to avoid any unauthorized reading in case of loss. Server The client/server system is expandable and it allows to add more servers to increase the acquisition performance and the amount of lines to be monitored. All clients are connected to the GATE SEVER through a LAN Network. Client GATE CLIENT terminal has been studied and developed to optimise and speed up all activities. The system manager can: Create, modify or delete a complete monitoring activity that encompasses communications monitoring, target tracking and audio eavesdropping.   • 29. Data Collection Management All collected data, coming from all operators, are available for cross- processing management. A specific ID card, containing personal details, address, vehicles, minutes, etc., can be connected to each data entry. Users can play, transcribe or write a brief resume of the track at the same time. In case of fast speech or strong pronunciation, the transcription can be facilitated by slowing down the speed during the listening, without altering pitch and tone. To facilitate the editing of the draft it is possible to set the option of cyclical repeat of the listened track. This feature can be directly managed by keyboard. It also possible to insert some track markers to quickly visualize a relevant range in the timeline. Speech identification is made easier by using the available noise filter. VICRECORDER This recording suite allows the recording and processing of audio signals coming from our range of RF receivers directly on a stand alone PC. It extends the recording capacity of local receivers by using the PC HDD. The application is supplied and licensed on a dongle, giving the user flexibility on the hardware side. If a suitable modem is connected, the application can also manage audio content delivered through the GSM network. The audio signal is recorded on the computer's HDD without alteration and, for monitoring and playback purposes, VICRECORDER allows the user to apply audio enhancement in real time to both“live”and recorded signals. The tracks can be managed, processed and exported in a blotter for evidence use. CD/DVD Burning functionality is included. The tracks can be recorded in three ways: Signal-driven trigger The application monitors the level of the incoming signal and begins recording once a set threshold is exceeded. Manual recording Recording is manually initiated by the user via simple commands on the user interface. Modem trigger Recording is initiated once an incoming call is detected on a GSM modem connected to the PC. POWER MANAGEMENT Remote Control Switch &TC SWITCH is a radio controller, small and ready to use, greatly useful to connect external devices and to control them remotely.Configurable via PC , it is easy to set up because it just has two connectors: one to connect the DC Power Supply (up to 15V), the other to connect external equipment. The system transmits and records video data in H264 format, providing a far more efficient algorithm for compressing video than any other compression method available, giving best performances on 3G channel. Other codecs with higher definition and lower compression rates are also supported (MPEG4, MJPEG). Packet transmission on TCP/IP or streaming on RTSP are supported. RTSP permits higher frame rate whereas TCP/IP allows synchronised and buffered audio transmission. The bidirectional audio transmission can be configured in high or low quality (G711 and G723 audio compression) to either eavesdrop the environment or to remotely control devices via DTMF tones. When the UMTS coverage is not available, it records video data on its embedded memory card. The system can be activated by alarms generated by a video motion detection or triggered by an input.
