2. The high school is located in Arad, a middle-size city in west of Romania, 50km
away from the Hungarian border. It is a thriving industrial centre with about 20
companies – industries ranging from high technology to finance and
communications.

3. The history of our school goes back to the year 1966 when the first Industrial
High School for mechanical engineering was founded. In 1972 the school assimilated
one of the oldest vocational schools in the country whose beginning can be tracked
back in 1837. As a result a new and modern school emerged under the name of Iuliu
Maniu Technical High School.

10. Leonardo Da Vinci : Development of specialized skills for the AUTOCAD program in
electronics .
Acquiring of new, improved knowledge related to AUTOCAD 2009, gaining new
techniques for electric and electronic circuits plotting, 2D and 3D plotting.
The participants have also improved their use of English and German and their general
knowledge through the planned activities.
11. The e – twinning project Connecting Classrooms 2010 – 2012
It is a follow up based on the agreement between British Council and MECTS
The subject is social science and the title of the project is:”Olympic values;
excellence for all – sports and creative arts as mediums to express social inclusion.
Five schools from the counties of Arad and Suceava are taking part in this project.
Each school has partner schools from France, Wales and Hungary.
