Although heavily promoted by PepsiCo, including advertisements by
the pop singer Britney Spears and the bands Sev and Papa Roach, as
well as in the movies The Italian Job and Garfield: The Movie, it is
widely seen as a commercial flop as sales remained low. Even with the
failure of Pepsi Blue, PepsiCo still managed to post double-digit growth
Pepsi blue was launched in India just before the Cricket world cup 2003
and although heavily promoted by PepsiCo, it was widely seen as a
commercial flop as sales remained low.
A few reasons:

was somewhat similar to kerosene, window cleaner(who would want to
drink a soda that looks like window cleaner?)
It didn't taste like Pepsi.

cancer
Pepsi Blue only lasted about 1 year in stores before it was pulled from
shelves.
