1. How effective is the
combination of your
main product and
ancillary texts?
2.
3. How my ancillary products create
synergy?
•The use of the same colours, black, white and yellow
•The trade mark logo that I created for Cassie has been placed on the
magazine advert and the CD digi-pack.
•I have used only the photos that I took during the filming of the car scenes
and have used them for both products.
•The picture on my magazine advert is the picture on the front cover of me CD
digi-pack.
•The font has stayed pretty much the same for both products, I have only
made slight changes to the font on the front cover of the CD digi-pack.
•I have kept the colour scheme the same throughout both of the products.
•The clothes that my actress is wearing in the pictures on the magazine advert
and CD digi-pack, are the clothes that she wears in the music video too.
4. My ancillary products relate to the R&B
genre. The use of expensive cars, selling the
audience a dream. Maturity is represented
through my actress by the way she is
dressed, a leather jacket, jeans and knee
high boots.
5. What influenced me in the making?
The layout of Beyonces album cover influenced me,
the placing of the image and text. I liked the way the
text in Cassie’s album cover was simple but stood out
due to the glow in the font colour.
Beyonce is dressed quite casual in her most of her
music videos and so is Cassie, so I wanted to
incorporate that in my actress, so one outfit of hers
was casual, another was all black and looked urban,
bomber jacket, crop top, leggings and timberlands
and the final outfit was influenced by the outfit on
Cassie’s album cover, A black dress, simple but makes
a statement to the audience.
6. Overall...
I think all of my products have a strong and successful synergy.
They all interlink with each other and work well beside each
other.
I stuck with the same theme throughout my ancillary products
and obeyed the typical R&B convention when it comes to
advertising music products.
