Reflection -Learners said it took them back to school days of oral Latin exams; VERY NEGATIVE! -Personal experiences of oral exams were the same, yet I studied them for a different reason -Over rehearsed? -Learners need to be more relaxed -Speaking assessment = informal -More positive experience -Learners to gain something out of it
7. Reflection- action! -Take the tutor out of the equation -Learners work together as when doing normal role plays = more comfortable! -Both play the part of the student & learner -Tutor takes a more passive role, can assess both at the same time
8. Relevant Theory ‘ Humanist’ approach -Students feel good about themselves -Rewards are intrinsic -On the whole, a more positive experience
