Nothing heals like the promise of unconditional support from friends and family, but its important that others respect boundaries, that is your “personal” space.
School can also provide important support structures for a young person experiencing a mood disorder. The school counsellor can be a great source of support to a young person who has a mood disorder.
Often a young person wont want the school to know what they are going through. However, it is important that the school is aware of what is going on so that they can support the young person in their help seeking journey and recovery.
