2. The only character that appeared in our production piece was a
young adult named Tracy Walker/Esme Meredith. We believe
that this was more effective than using a lot of characters since
it allowed the audience to build a relationship with the
characters as they see her story during the production , which
helped to strengthen the narrative since it was clear what was
going on with the one character.
Due to the fact that our target audience is aged 16- 19 which
we found out through our questionnaire, we decided that our
main character should be relatable to our target audience
therefore we said she was 22 years old making the character
more appealing to the audience since she's young , helping to
create realism and build a relationship between the audience
and the antagonist.
3. By having a female antagonist this goes against the typical conventions of a crime
thriller due to the fact that most thriller have a male anatgonist. This is because males
are normally seen as a more dominate and strong character.
We chose a female antagonist since it goes against the typical conventions and is an
anti-stereotype. We portrayed our character as clever , mysterious and dominate
which make our production more unique and helps to develops our narrative.
