The Resurrection

how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that

competent. [ Surah Ar-Rum 30, Ayat 50 ]

Opinions :: Majority say it will be blown 3 times

Prophet saw) said, “ The Trumpet will be blown three times. The first one is the Blow of
terror, the second is the Blow of Death and the third is the Blowing of Resurrection to stand
before the Lord of the Worlds. Allah will command Israfeel to blow the first blow and will
say, “ Blow Nafkhat al-Faza,” so all in the heavens and the earth will be terrified except
those whom Allah saves. The Abu Hurairah asked, “Who are those meant in the ayah, “And
[warn of] the Day the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on
the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled.
[Sahih Internationa; Surah An-Naml 27, Ayat 87] “ Prophet (saw) said, “These are the
martyrs. That terror will fall upon all the living, and martyrs are alive with their Lord, but
Allah will save them from that terror.” The Allah will command Israfeel to blow the Blow of

They will go to Adam and say, 'You are one whom Allah created with His hand, to whom His angels prostrates and He
taught you the names of all things. Intercede on our behalf with your Lord to relieve us from this place where we are!'
He will say, 'I am not worthy of this task,' and he will mention his error and say, 'Go to Nuh. He is the first Messenger
that Allah sent to the people of the earth.'

see my Lord, I will fall down in prostration and He will leave me as long as Allah wills to leave me. Then I will be

Prophet saying, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar), and whoever will
come to it, will drink from it, and whoever will drink from it, will never become thirsty
after that. There will come to me some people whom I know and they know me, and then
a barrier will be set up between me and them." Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri added that the
Prophet further said: "I will say those people are from me. It will be said, 'You do not know
what changes and new things they did after you.' Then I will say, 'Far removed (from
mercy), far removed (from mercy), those who changed (the religion) after me! "

 Description of al-Hawd :: 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (Ra), reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: My Hawd (River in Paradise) (is as wide
and broad that it requires) a month's journey (to go round it) all, and its sides are equal
and its water is whiter than silver, and its odor is more fragrant than the fragrance of
musk, and its jugs (placed round it) are like stars in the sky; and he who drinks from it will
 never feel thirsty after that.
As-Siraat :: The Bridge

It is the bridge placed over Hellfire, over which the
Muslims will pass to enter Jannah

As-Siraat :: The Bridge
                  Description of As-Siraat

 Aysha (Ra) narrates that the Prophet (saw) said, ‘Hellfire
has a bridge that is thinner than a hair and sharper than
a sword. On it are hooks and thorns that will take
whomsoever Allah wills.” [ Ahmad ]

 Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri said, “We asked the Prophet
(saw), “What is the Bridge?”, He (saw) replied, “It is
slippery and has hooks and thorns…” [ Bukhari ]
As-Siraat :: The Bridge
                                       Crossing of Siraat

 The Sirat Bridge will be set over Hell. The first prophet who will cross it with his nation will be I.
   [Bukhari]

 On the Day of Resurrection I will stand by the side of the Sirat Bridge and wait for my nation to cross
it. Allahu ta'ala will say, "Ask for whatever you want. Intercede for whomever you wish, for your
intercession will be accepted." After interceding for my nation, I will continue entreating, and I will not
rise to my feet until He says, "Put all people into Paradise who said La ilaha ill-Allah once with ikhlas
and died with faith. [Imam-i Ahmad]

 Crossing the Sirat Bridge depends on everybody's light. Some will cross it in the twinkling of an eye;
some, like lightning; some, like a falling star; some, like a running horse. He who has very little light
will creep facedown. His hands and feet will slip, and he will cling to it again. At long last, he will break
free from it by creeping and creeping. [ Tabarani ]

 Sahih International: On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light
proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens
beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment. On
the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us
that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." And a
wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is
  torment. [ Surah al-Hadid 57, Ayat 12 - 13 ]
As-Siraat :: The Bridge
                       Al-Qantarah

 Abu Sa’eed al Khudree reports that the Prophet (saw)
said, “when the believers cross the Hellfire, they will be
stopped at a small arched bridge (Qantarah) before
entering the paradise and will be given retribution for
injustices between them until they become purified.
(Then) they will be permitted to enter Jannah. So, by the
One in Whose Hands is my soul, they will know their way
to their homes in Jannah, better than they know their
ways to their homes in dunya.” [ Saheeh Al-Bukhari ]
Al-A’raaf
                                    Different Opinions

      1. A high place where you can see Paradise & Hellfire
      2. A wall between Paradise & Hellfire
      3. A mountain between Jannah & Hellfire ( opinion of ibn-Abbas )
      4. The Bridge ( as-Sirat)

Sahih International: And between them will be a partition, and on [its] elevations
are men who recognize all by their mark. And they call out to the companions of
Paradise, "Peace be upon you." They have not [yet] entered it, but they long intensely.

And when their eyes are turned toward the companions of the Fire, they say, "Our Lord, do
not place us with the wrongdoing people." And the companions of the Elevations will call to
men [within Hell] whom they recognize by their mark, saying, "Of no avail to you was your
gathering and [the fact] that you were arrogant." [Allah will say], "Are these the ones whom
you [inhabitants of Hell] swore that Allah would never offer them mercy? Enter Paradise, [O
People of the Elevations]. No fear will there be concerning you, nor will you grieve."
[ Surah al-Araf 7, Ayat 46 – 49 ]
Paradise & Hellfire

 Sahih International: And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the
heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous. [ Surah ali-Imran 3, Ayat 133 ]

 Sahih International: And he certainly saw him in another descent At the Lote Tree of the
  Utmost Boundary – Near it is the Garden of Refuge [ Surah an-Najm 53, Ayat 13 - 15 ]

 Sahih International: And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be
in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your
  Lord should will – a bestowal uninterrupted. [ Surah al-Hud 11, Ayat 108 ]

 Sahih International: Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion. [ Surah Sad
   38, Ayat 54 ]

 Sahih International: He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty.
There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."
   [ Surah Fatir 13, Ayat 35 ]

 Sahih International: No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be
  removed. [ Surah al-Hijr 15, Ayat 48 ]
Paradise & Hellfire
                             Temporary / Eternal

Opinion – 1 :: Hellfire Temporary
 Allah will place the sinners there forever, as long as Allah wills. [ Surah 6, Ayat 128 ]
    Same as above. [ Surah 11, Ayat 106 – 107 ]
 Will be in there for ages. [ Surah 78, Ayat 23 ]
 Based on opinion of Umar ibn al-Khattab, Abu Mas’ood, Abu Hurairah, Abu Sa’eed
al-Khudri and many others. Also opinion of ibn al-Qyyium who claims that this is
also the opinion of al-Islam ibn-Taymiyyah.

Opinion – 2 :: Hellfire is Eternal (Majority)
    Surah Az-Zukhruf 43, Ayat 75
    Surah An-Naba’ 78, Ayat 30
    Surah Al-Hijr 15, Ayat 48
    Surah Al- Baqarah 2, Ayat 167
    Surah Fatir 35, Ayat 36
 Hadith in Bukhari & Muslim where Prophet (saw) mentioned “O people of
       Hellfire, eternity without death.”
Paradise & Hellfire
                  Things to Remember

 No one will enter Jannah without Allah’s Mercy and
  Grace
 No one will enter the Hellfire but by Allah’s Justice
 The gates of Jannah will not be opened to anyone other
  than the Prophet (saw)
 The Prophet’s (saw) Ummah will be the first to enter
Jannah. It will make up the majority of the people of
  Jannah
 The greatest pleasure in Jannah is that of seeing Allah
  (swt)
Ar-Ru’yah : Seeing Allah
                     Difference of Opinion

 Opinion -1 :: Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jamah

 Sahih International: No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they
    will be partitioned. [ az-Zumar 83, Ayat 15 ]

 Narrated by Abu Hurairah, We said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we
see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" He said, "Do you have
any difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon when the sky is
clear?" We said, "No." He said, "So you will have no difficulty in
seeing your Lord on that Day as you have no difficulty in seeing
the sun and the moon (in a clear sky)." [ Bukhari & Msulim ]
Ar-Ru’yah : Seeing Allah
                               Difference of Opinion

 Opinion – 2 :: Other Sects
 These sects are Al-Mu’tazilah, al-Jahmiyyah, ar-Rafidah & al-Khawaarij.

 Sahih International: Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and
He is the Subtle, the Acquainted. [ Surah al-An’am 6, Ayat 103 ]

 Sahih International: And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his
Lord spoke to him, he said, "My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You."
[Allah] said, "You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in
place, then you will see Me." But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He
rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he
said, "Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers." [
Surah al-A’raf 7, Ayat 143 ]
Ar-Ru’yah : Seeing Allah
                    Difference of Opinion

 Refutation to Opinion 2

 Sahih International: Allah knows what is [presently] before
them and what will be after them, but they do not encompass
     it in knowledge. [ Surah Ta-ha 20, Ayat 110 ]

 Narrated by Abu Hurairah, We said, "O Allah's Apostle!
Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" He
said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun and the
moon when the sky is clear?" We said, "No." He said, "So you
will have no difficulty in seeing your Lord on that Day as you
have no difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon (in a clear
     sky)." [ Bukhari & Msulim ]
