 A deal put together by a producer that contains the
  main elements of a film: a property, director, star (s).
 They can sell this to investors to secure financial
  investment

 Example: Man of Steel
 Produced by director of Batman series, directed by the
  director of Watchmen, star of The Tudors, experienced
  supporting cast (Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Amy
  Adams).

   All franchises come to an end
