2. Learning Objectives
What ?
Why ?
When ?
How ?
There is no short cut to success,
this is the first thing you should remember.
3. First term is always helpful to create
your strong base
Second term is the true battle time
For the completion of syllabus.
4. Never loose a nature of competition
(Here the competition must be for
knowledge)
Always keep a patient in your mind while
reading
(you can imagine yourself as a patient too)
5. Day 1- Leave the lecture
knowing 100% of what
you know
Day 2- If you have done
nothing with the
information you will have
lost 50-80% of what you
learned
Day 7- We remember
even less
Day 30- We only retain
about 2-3% of the original
hour
Basedon a 1 hour lecture
6. Day 2- If you spend 10
minutes reviewing after
the lecture you will raise
the curve to 100%
Day 7- It only takes 5
minutes to re-activate
the material
Day 30- You will only
need 2-4 minutes to
reactive the material
If you don’t review it will take you 40-50
minutes to re-learn each hour of material
8. 1. Give yourself enough time to study
Don't leave it until the last minute.
2. Look after yourself
"The fresher and more energetic you feel, the more it
will support your ability to tackle the cognitive
challenges.“
3. Get hold of recent exam papers
Go back a few years and consider the kind of questions
that came up.
4. Avoid postmortems
As soon as one exam is over, move swiftly to focusing on
the next one
9. 5. Organize your study space
Make sure you have enough space to spread your
textbooks and notes out.
6. Use flow charts and diagrams
Visual aids can be really helpful when revising.
7. Explain your answers to others
Parents and little brothers and sisters don't have to
be annoying around exam time! Use them to your
advantage. Explain an answer to a question to
them
8. Take regular breaks
Studies have shown that for long-term retention of
knowledge, taking regular breaks really helps.
10. 9. Snack on 'brain food‘
what you eat can really have an impact on
energy levels and focus.
Keep your body and brain well-fuelled by
choosing nutritious foods that have been
proven to aid concentration and memory,
such as nuts, seeds, leafy veggies and fruits.
The same applies on exam day - eat a good
meal before the test, based on foods that will
provide a slow release of energy throughout.
11. 10. Drink plenty of water
being well hydrated is essential for your
brain to work at its best.
11. Make an outline of each questions
12. Worrying is usually a substitute for
action; hence, when you worry you are not
studying.
13. Sleep
Tests are designed to make you think. If you
are sleep-deprived, you won’t be able to
remember any of the information you
worked so hard to cram into your brain.
12. 14. Stay calm
Answer all the questions you know, then return
to the ones you left blank.
15. Sit straight
Sit in proper manner while studying.
Don't study on bed or lying on a chair instead sit
straight.
16. Write and Present well.
Try to present answers in points.
'First impression is the best impression’
Manage your time well - attend all questions.
Out of syllabus question
13. Proven Study Strategies
SQ3R
Survey – get the best overall picture of what you’re
going to study before you do it
Question – ask questions to reinforce your own
learning
Read – actively read over the material and be alert to
main ideas, bolded terms, and key understandings
and details
Recite – recalling and then orally or through writing
communicating the information – make
connections
Review – re-reading, summarizing key points, testing
yourself, asking final questions
14. Never malpractice in exam hall
It may even affect your marks and also some
times you won't be allowed to continue the
exam.
If you don't know answer don't write.
Keep in mind that you are writing exam for
you, to prove yourself.
15. Believe in God, Believe in you
The last but not the least point pray well
before the exam and your mind should be free
at least 5 minutes before exam.
Pray can give immense energy and peace to
your mind that will definitely do good for you.
16. Above all
You think about your parents
Their difficulties and sufferings and how they
care you, you owe to them much, don't you?
The best gift you can give them is your victory.
So never disappoint your parents.
Study is not for them they are compelling you
to study for your future.
24. Student Study Strategies
that DON’T work
Reading information without writing it down
Glossing over notes without “proving” you know it (by
teaching someone else, by writing it down from memory etc.)
Highlighting texts or novels
Reviewing the material only one time
Studying with someone else – unless you are equally
committed and focused
Staying up really late or pulling an all-nighter
The purpose of the written examination is to provide the instructor with evidence regarding the amount of knowledge the student has acquired in the course. It is not feasible to ask questions about everything in the course; therefore, the instructor tries to obtain a broad sample of the student's knowledge. Before making the test, the instructor evaluates the content of the course in terms of the importance of the materials and then phrases the questions in such a way as to reveal the facility of the student in using the concepts and ideas considered basic to the course.
1. Try to be well rested and well nourished in preparation for exams. "Drink plenty of fluids, eat a good healthy breakfast,"
2. Don't assume that these will be on the paper, but look at the relationship between the questions and course content
In an exam, it doesn't matter what you know if you can't express it clearly and concisely.
3. "Dwelling on an exam that you have completed wastes energy and time, and will drive you crazy,"
5. Have you got enough light? Is your chair comfortable? Try and get rid of all distractions, and make sure you feel as comfortable and able to focus as possible.
7. That will help you to get it clear in your head, and also to highlight any areas where you need more work.
8. While you may think it's best to study for as many hours as possible, this can actually be counterproductive.
Keep away from junk food! You may feel like you deserve a treat, or that you don't have time to cook. Sugar may seem appealing, but it won't help when your energy levels crash an hour or so later.
10 Make sure you keep drinking plenty of water throughout your revision, and also on the exam day.
13. You need at least seven hours of sleep a night to function.
14. Do not panic at the exam! Even if at first glance the test is overwhelming, remember to breathe.
15. Keep your spinal cord straight. And try to place your legs parallel to ground, a little bit raised from the ground. Other wise placing the legs on the ground causes ionization and induces sleep. And be alert that legs are not above the head level. This will affect the blood flow direction and causes sleepiness. It is better to place the legs almost parallel to ground but a little lower.
And ultimately what I have to say is that You have a lot of opportunities now.If you are serious in your studies for a few years of your life then the remaining part of your life will be fruitful and you people shall never stop study after getting a degree or a small job always look for higher studies and aims big hurdles.
