2. Hystory
• Itabi was discovered by two
hunters
• They were passin trhough and
saw a “lake” with some crocks,
probabily made by indians
• Then they spread the news
• A sugar’s trades man, went
there to creat a farm
• In 1884 the farm was stable
• And then Itabi started to grow

3. • In 1897 Nossa Senhora da Conceição
was brought to from Gararu to Itabi,
and became its patroness
• In January of 1891 it happened the
frist fair in Itabi
• In the 50’s Itabi was described as the
first vilage to burn a ballot box
• In 1953 became a actual city by the
law n° 525-A
• In 1954 the first happened election,
and Francisco Vieira de Menezes
won, and stayed as mayor from 1955
till 1960

4. Geography
• Itabi is located in the country
side os Sergipe
• Its nears cities are: Gararu,
Aquidabã, NSª Lourdes,
Canhoba, Amparo, Graccho
Cardoso
• Area: 195,086 km²
• Pupolation: +/- 4,9 thousant
• Density: 25,49 hab/km²
• Weather: Tropical

5. Donkey’ Race
• The fisrt Donkey’s Race happened in 1979,
and still happen till nowadays
• Start to happen in July, but it chaged because
of the weather, nowadays it happens in
September
• Beside the race there is a parade of Donkeis,
people costumize them and put them to walk,
the best win a price

6. Why I like it
• Well, my family live there
• I still have friends , who seens to stop in the
time, but still friends
• Its calm, besides Aracaju it’s not that stressful
for me
• That’s it

7. Why I don’t like it
• People do gossip all the time
• It’s boring, even with internet and sky
• It’s full of closed minded people
• People seens to be attached to the wrog things
