2. Line The lines created by the telephone pole and the power lines navigate us through the image
3. Color The tractor demonstrates many different intensities of it’s rusty red color.
4. Shape The tree under the moon appears to have only 2 dimensions exemplifying its shape
5. Form The hexagonal shape of this birdhouse and its position by itself in the clouds demonstrate the full form of this object.
6. Texture After years of weather, the sunlight reveals the fragile texture of the deteriorating backboard of this old goal.
7. Value The bright red of the chicken’s comb and wattles contrast with the value of its darker feathers.
8. Space The lone oak tree in the middle of the empty field portrays open space that only the country can offer.
9. Unity The water in this trough reflects the image of the leaves above making unity in this image.
10. Variety The smooth glass jar against a background of bark and leaves gives a strange variety to this image.
11. Balance The birdhouse splits the image in half creating two nearly symmetrical portions of the oak tree.
12. Emphasis The humming bird feeder has emphasis and immediately grabs our attention then releases us to observe the birdhouse and trees in the background.
13. Scale The trailers demonstrate their scale as they seem to lift the focus up to the telephone pole in the background.
14. Rhythm The end of each wood cut reveals a repeating pattern of circles creating rhythm of the image.
15. Movement The horse demonstrates its subtle motion by lifting its hind leg as it makes a slow move toward us.
