1. Our response to Jesus Christ Repent (turn from sin and self-trust) Ezekiel 18:32For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!Mark 1:15"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"Luke 5:32Jesus said, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."Acts 3:19Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,Acts 17:3030In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.“
2. Our response to Jesus Christ 2. Believe (Trust in Jesus Christ) John 3:14-15 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him. Acts 16:31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your household. Acts 20:21I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith (trust) in our Lord Jesus.
