Our response to Jesus Christ Repent (turn from sin and self-trust) Ezekiel 18:32For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!Mark 1:15"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"Luke 5:32Jesus said, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."Acts 3:19Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,Acts 17:3030In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.“
Our response to Jesus Christ 2. Believe (Trust in Jesus Christ) John 3:14-15 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him. Acts 16:31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your household. Acts 20:21I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith (trust) in our Lord Jesus.
In Christ: I am Accepted: ,[object Object],John 1:12 “Yet to all who received him (Christ), to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” ,[object Object],John 15:15 “I (Jesus) no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” ,[object Object], Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” ,[object Object], 1 Corinthians 6:17 “But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” ,[object Object], 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”
In Christ: I am Accepted (cont.): ,[object Object],1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. ,[object Object],Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: ,[object Object],Ephesians 1:5 He (God) predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. ,[object Object],Ephesians 2:18 For through Him (Christ) we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. ,[object Object],Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. ,[object Object],Colossians 2:10 and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.
In Christ: I am Secure: ,[object Object], Romans 8:1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. ,[object Object], Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ,[object Object], Romans 8:31-34 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
In Christ: I am Secure (cont.) ,[object Object], Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ,[object Object], 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. ,[object Object], Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. ,[object Object], Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
In Christ: I am Secure (cont.) ,[object Object], Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, ,[object Object], 2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. ,[object Object], Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. ,[object Object], 1 John 5:18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.
In Christ: I am Significant: ,[object Object], Matthew 5:13-14 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.  You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” ,[object Object], John 15:1,5 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener… I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” ,[object Object], John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.” ,[object Object], Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” ,[object Object], 1 Corinthians 3:16 “Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?”
In Christ: I am Significant (cont.): ,[object Object],2 Corinthians 5:17-21 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” ,[object Object], 2 Corinthians 6:1 “As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.” ,[object Object], Ephesians 2:6 “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,” ,[object Object], Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” ,[object Object], Ephesians 3:12 “In Him (Christ) and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”
