                                     Welcome Speaker(s)

Mr. Rick Gaboury, Vice President; IFE Canada Branch,

Crisis Communications; Bridging the Life Safety gap
between Private & Public First Responders

This presentation will review the communications concerns between both
arriving municipal fire services, and the private sector first responders. It
will review challenges and obstacles currently faced by fire services when
interacting with security personnel, during workplace and building crises, and
strengthen the partnership and communication abilities that positively impact
            public and first responder safety.

            Mr. Norm Clement, Platoon Chief
            Toronto Fire Services; South Command
            Centennial College, Instructor

Health Hazards & Disease Transmission; Prevention &
Response for Security Responders; Risks, Liability and
                  Best Practices
Health & Safety when it comes to the “Security” First Responder has long
been a gap with limited advancement. This presentation will
review the risks for disease transmission for the security officer, and best
practices required to protect them, and provide best practice compliances
under OHSA for your security program. We will review “Airborne” and
“direct” contact disease, cleaning and decontamination of Personal
Protection Equipment in the security industry.

Mr. Jody Smith; Transit Enforcement Officer
                  Toronto Transit Commission; Transit Enforcement
                  Canadian Red Cross, Certified Instructor
The First Responder; Critical Incident Stress & Mental Health

This much needed and trending topic is of concern with recent recognitions in
the first responder industry. Security personnel are the "true" first responders
at almost every workplace and facility in Canada. This session will review
current security program gaps in Prevention, mitigation, response and
recovery for mental health and critical incident stress, including the review of
current and future security program standards, impacts and liabilities.

Mr. Vince Savoia
Founder; TEMA Contor Foundation
Trainer; Canadian Mental Health Association

Active Shooter & HAZMAT Incidents; Public & Private Sector
Integration of Planning, Mitigation & Response Tools
This timely presentation will provide an overview of recent Active Shooter
and suspicious package incidents within Canada. We will discuss, and
take a comprehensive look at program gaps & opportunities to
positively impact public safety and business continuity, applying
standards & best practices, “at risk” persons and Life Safety
considerations. At the end of this presentation you will understand the
vast benefits to Workplace Violence and OHSA programs, and building
bridges between Private sector security and integration with all three (3)
emergency services, and their receiving the required, “time-sensitive”
information required for effective threat management and response.

   Jason D. Reid;
Co-Chair; Greater Toronto Security Partners Forum
National Secretary; Institution of Fire Engineers – Canada Branch
Founder & President; National Life Safety Group

Innovative Fire Alarm Communications within your
Security Management & First Responder Program

notification to your building Fire alarm; Information such as the
Device, Location, Type of alarm, trouble, or sprinkler system flow
and more…. This session will review innovative technology installed for
at the Toronto General Hospital within the Security, Fire & Life Safety
   Program.
