Ultimate Frisbee is often described as a game in which

3. ULTIMATE FRISBEE
 The positioning of players in the standard 1-3-2-1
zone set-up centers around the fastest team member,
who is called the “chase” and follows the progress of
the disc, guarding whoever is going to throw.
Accompanying the chase is the “cup,” a three-man
group that spreads out at a relatively close distance
from the thrower and tries to prevent quick, short
passes up the field. The next two players are the
“wings,” and they are tasked with intercepting passes
thrown into the midfield. Finally, a “deep” player
ranges across the entire backfield and tries to
intercept any passes that come that far. He or she
can cover more ground because of the longer hang
time of long-distance throws.
