Nearly Lear is a one-actor play told from the perspective of King Lear's fool that will run from May 3-12, 2012 at the Josephine Louis Theater at Northwestern University. It retells the classic Shakespearean tragedy of King Lear in a gentle, mischievous and funny way through the eyes of Lear's devoted clown Norris. Nearly Lear is part of the 2012 Stages, Sights & Sounds festival presented by the Chicago Humanities Festival that incorporates international performers and local venues to provide arts experiences for schools, families and all ages.
