To design an EU Headquarters within the boundaries of the Host Building
The design must positively promote & represent the European Union & European

incorporated, comprising of an internal street linking George Street & Rose Street,
a Bistro café to serve European Cuisine, a cinema space to screen European films
& an internal Garden of European plants & trees.

14. • Brief:
To utilise the buildings which
form the Doggerfisher Gallery
in the Broughton area of
Edinburgh. The space is to
include -Permanent &
Temporary Exhibition Space,
Photography Studios,
darkrooms, &
workshop/seminar areas.
I chose the photographer Steve
Mc Curry, & his work from
Sahel in Africa. His work is
centred on the people of areas
of conflict, and he creates very
powerful images. As a result,
my chosen images greatly
influenced my concept and
materials of this project.
