Disney
Downtown Disney, originally the
Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village,
is an outdoor shopping, dining, and
entertainment complex at the Walt
Disney World Resort in Lake Buena
Vista, Florida, opened on March 22,
1975. It is open to the public, requires
no admission fee, and offers
complimentary parking and
transportation to all Disney-operated
Walt Disney World resorts.
3. Cape Canaveral Kennedy
Space Center
The John F. Kennedy Space Center
(KSC) is the United States launch site
that has been used for every NASA
human space flight since 1968.
Although such flights are currently on
hiatus, KSC continues to manage and
operate unmanned rocket launch
facilities for the U.S.
4. Gatorland
in Orlando
Gatorland is a 110-acre (45 ha) theme
park and wildlife preserve located
along South Orange Blossom Trail in
Orlando, Florida. It was founded by
Owen Godwin in 1949, and still
privately owned by his family today.
Billed as the "Alligator Capital of the
World," Gatorland features thousands
of alligators and crocodiles, a
breeding marsh with boardwalk and
observation tower, reptile shows,
aviary, petting zoo, swamp walk and
educational programs.
5. WonderWorks
Orlando
Each WonderWorks location contains
interactive, entertainment exhibits on
the themes of space, physic and math.
Some locations also offer a dinner
magic show. The exhibits are housed
in a themed building designed by
architect Terry Nicholson to look as it
were picked up by severe weather and
dropped upside down on an existing
building.
