On reflection, how successful do you
think your product is? Will it actually
succeed if it was launched on the
market today?

2. Strengths
• I think that the layout and structure of my music
magazine is set out well as it follows the typical
stereotypes and conventions of other music magazines
within the hip-hop genre.
• I think that the choice of font that I have used for the
magazine that I have created are good as they all have
similar/the same fonts and represents similar colours
to other magazines.
• I also think the choice of colours that I have used are
good as the house colours of the magazine are good.
For example, the colour choice of red would resemble
violence which is a part of the hip-hop genre.

3. Weaknesses
• I think that the images for my music magazine are a
weak part of my music magazine as the quality of the
images could have been better as the photos could
have taken from a better camera.
• Also, I think that the colour of my cover lines could
have a better colour as black is used quite often
elsewhere in my music magazine. I could change this
by changing the back colour to a shade of dark blue or
dark red as it would fit in with a typical music magazine
in the hip-hop genre.

4. Further improvements that I could
make
• I think that I could improve the quality of the
images that I used by using a better digital
camera to give the image a better looking quality.
Also, I could have used a better person to be as
the main image as the person wouldn’t be
someone who would stereotypically be classed as
a part of the hip-hop genre.
• I could also improve the colour choice for the
background to help give the audience a clearer
indication of what the genre of my music
magazine is.

5. My music magazine in relation to real
magazines
• I think that my music magazine wouldn’t be able
to compete against big music magazine such as
Vibe as the quality of the magazine could have
been improved. Also, the music magazines in the
hip-hop genre have a much better designs and
has a better structure of their articles and their
contents page.
• Also, my music magazine would have taken a
similar layout structure to Vibe which would then
make my magazine quite similar to another
already existing music magazine.
