7. Search—Just 4 Pages to Perfect
1.Home Page With respect to search, it functions perfectly. Though it is slow
to load, everyone eventually found search without a hitch.
Much more complex than Home as it
2.Search Results contains dozens of small interactive
elements (patterns).
3.Item Details Page More about formatting the
information related to the item
than action. A daunting task for
so many content types.
4.Advanced Search A complete redesign is required. This
page was not used effectively the first
time, not even by power users.

8. What can be done?
• Remove noise. The more elements on the page, the less
likely people see what’s important.
• Search Synonyms. Make search more forgiving.
• Prioritize Results Information. Don’t intertwine
marketing banners with search results. Place them
beneath.
• Focus on basic usage first…
