2. Child's play 3 is a 1991 horror film, it is
the 3rd part of child play series with
Brad Dourif who returns a voice to the
doll Chucky. Many more people noticed
the film after the kids that were inspired
in the real life murder of James Bulger.

3. JAMES BULGER CASE
James Bulger was murdered on 12th February
1993, when he was two years old. He was
abducted, tortured and also murdered by two 10
year old boys. Bulger disappeared from the New
strand shopping Centre in Bootle, near Liverpool
whilst he was with his mother. His body was
found on a railway line two and half miles away
in Walton, two days after his murder. The two
boys were found guilty on 24th November, which
made them the youngest convicted murderers.

4. CHUCKY AND BULGER CASE
It has been said that the two boys watched
the series of child play and were inspired
by the way Chucky is tied to a train track
and so they decided to do the same to a
child. They did not recognise the pain they
have caused and instead thought to have
been playing like Chucky.

5. AUDIENCE REACTION TO THE
FILM
The audience reactions to the film is terrifying
and scared most of the audience this caused
moral panic within the audience. This film was
very unusual and very unique as to other films,
the pleasures audience received whilst watching
this film is the thrill.

6. MY VIEWS
I would give the film a rating of 18 as well due to
the case of Jamie Bulger, as children mentality
still needs to improve so that they can
distinguish the difference between a film and
reality. The reason i believe it should remain a
film for adults is that they should be more
mentally able to watch such disturbing films and
it is their choice to watch what they want to
watch.

7. BBFC RATING
Some scenes of Child play 3 had a rating
of 15 however after the Jamie Bulger case
the age rating increase to 18 from 15.
