Summer Reading Program – Center Library
This summer, you’re invited to join our merry kingdom for tales of daring
deeds, dragons, and enchanted lands when you sign up for A Midsummer
Knight’s Read, the Fort Rucker Summer Reading Program.
This FREE program is open to children completing grades K-8. Registration
lasts through 24 June with the Reading Program going from 13 Jun – 8 July.

1. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is asking teachers, parents, students and
other community members to contribute their input on how future learning environments are
designed, constructed and furnished. Parents and community members are invited to share ideas at

2. In an attempt to remove the possible financial damage caused by last year's Post-9/11 Veterans
Education Assistance Improvement Act, Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL) has introduced H.R. 1383, the
Restoring GI Bill Fairness Act of 2011. H.R. 1383 will temporarily authorize the VA to cover the
tuition and fees for veterans attending non-public education and training institutions that have tuition
and fees which exceed $17,500 a year. This bill would add back in a "hold no harm” element to the
law. Let your elected officials know how you feel about this bill. By visiting
