Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi

Rostelecom is Russia’s largest national telecommunications operator with
presence in all Russian regions.
Rostelecom became a General Partner of the XXII Olympic Winter Games of
2014 in Sochi in the "Telecommunications" category in 2009.
Rostelecom deploys of a powerful high-capacity infrastructure enabling provision
of any and all telecom services required to successfully conduct the Olympic
Games, ensure TV coverage of competitions to be held at the competition venues
and deliver most advanced telecom services to the Organizing committee,
participants, and guests of the Olympic Games.
Altogether, within the framework of Sochi’2014 project Rostelecom will provide
connections to the network infrastructure and telecom services at 33 various
Olympic venues, installing over 300 km of fiber-optic cables with geographically
diverse routes.
