3. Determiners There are different types of determiners. Articles : a, an , the Demonstratives : this, that, these, those, which etc. Possessives : my, your, our, their, his, hers, whose, my friend's, our friends', etc. Quantifiers: few, a few, many, much, each, every, some, any etc. Números: um, dois, três, vinte, quarenta Numbers: one, two, three, twenty, forty Ordinals : first , second , 1st 2nd, 3rd, last , next , etc.

4. Possessives: my, your, his, her, its, our, their Possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives show who the thing belongs to. e.g.: Her brother is married to his sister. The definite article: the e.g.: The boy is good student. Demonstratives: this, that, these, those The demonstratives this, that, these, those , show where an object or person is in relation to the speaker. This (singular) and these (plural) refer to an object or person near the speaker. That (singular) and those (plural) refer to an object or person further away.
