• The concept integrates life itself with art, and mixes
different media, as a fundamental aspect of the Pop
revolution.
• A happening integrates the spectator with a multidiscipline
event which, different from a theatre piece, it may occur
in a supermarket, in a highway, in the kitchen, etc.
• The happening occurs according to a plan but without
rehearsal, with the spontaneous participation of the public.
It is art, but closer to life.
• The first happening was presented by Allan Kaprow in
1959.
