This document describes Esprit Productions' innovative staging designs for two conferences. For the Nielsen Consumer 360 Conference, they used a diamond thrust stage with multiple screens to keep attendees close to speakers with good sightlines. They also used advanced lighting and multiple projectors for high definition presentations. For the Siemens meeting, they similarly used a diamond thrust stage and multiple screens to engage attendees. Both designs placed panel discussions near the stage tip for improved visibility and intimacy. Esprit Productions received positive feedback praising their production quality and flexibility.
2. Nielsen Consumer 360 Conference
June 20-22, 2011
Marriott World Center Orlando
Challenge: Fitting approximately 1,200 people in the Crystal Ballroom and setting
the room up wide so that no attendee was more than 100 feet from the stage.
3. A Diamond Thrust stage design and three screens on each side of the stage was an innovative
way to get the audience closer to the speakers and keep good sight lines.
4. Six Barco FLM20 1080p projectors on six 15’ x 26’9” screens
were utilized for maximum high definition clarity & brightness.
6. State of the art lighting design allowed
for matching the color of the set
to the speakers’ slides and videos.
7. Pools of light on the audience and the Q&A
microphones created great looking I-mag shots.
Also, the stage design allowed the audience to
see the faces of the other attendees instead of
the backs of their heads which made it more
interesting and engaging.
8. More Panel Discussions were being showcased this year led by a
professional moderator. To improve intimacy and visibility the panels
were seated on a tier elevated above the main stage.
9. Underneath the huge skylights of the general session atrium,
Nielsen utilized an ancillary stage. The oval linoleum stage and Lucite
podium were backed by a three unit high by six unit wide LED Monitor wall.
10. The purpose of this stage was to spotlight critical issues of the market research
industry by Nielsen market experts before, during coffee breaks, and after the
general session.
