“Come down! I want to stay in
your house today.”
6. Do I see Zacchaeus in me?
What is the sycamore tree in my
life?
The Lord is inviting me to come
down from my sycamore tree.
The Lord would like to meet me
on the ground.
7. What was the response of
Zacchaeus?
He came down quickly.
He welcomed Jesus with great joy.
Zacchaeus said, “Sir, I will give half
of my belongings to the poor, and if I
have cheated anyone, I will pay him
back four times as much.”
8. Jesus is the Light.
To come to the Light is to see our
true selves, our sinfulness.
Zacchaeus admitted his sinfulness.
Zacchaeus felt the love of Jesus.
He was inspired to leave his old
sinful life and start a new life.
9. Today, we live in a
godless world.
No more sense of sin.
No more fear of God.
10. First Call ~ Universal Call
Repentance: Sorrow for sins
Conversion: Turn away from sin
New Life: Follow Christ
Holiness: Living in the grace of
God.
