3. Revised Hypothesis (so far)
This thesis presents the hypothesis that an
interactive gaming system can be utilized to
solicit ongoing surveyable civic advancement
from its participants.
In contrast to current political organizational
infrastructure, which allocates limited, and
symbolic, means of participation to its populous,
such a hypothesis will prove that a dynamic
civic engagement platform will produce
unambiguous results in tangent to traditional
governmental operations.

4. Cybering Democracy (so far)

“...Cyberspace promises a utopian ecstasy...on which
it ultimately cannot deliver. It fails to deliver because
cyberspace is not a space we can habit completely...
It is rather, a point of passage...” (p. 211)

5. Here Comes Everybody
–The Power of Organizing without organizations

(social media) tools to bypass government or
commercial entities in favor of taking on
problems directly.” (p. 318)
“...The future belongs to those who take the
present for granted.” (p. 319)

6. The Penguin and the Leviathan (so far)
–How Cooperation Triumphs over Self-Interest
“More businesses are coming to see that they
must...harness the intrinsic motivations of their
employees and managers...rather than just the
material.” (p.25)
“Cooperation and profit can coexist.” (p. 28)

7. Reality is Broken
–Why Games Make Us Better and How They Can
Change the World
“It's not enough to draw a crowd–you have to
ask the crowd to do something they have a
real chance of doing successfully.” (p240)
“Social engagement...increases
dramatically when gameful thinking
meets smart technology.” (p. 261)
