- REFEDS held an event on May 15th 2011 to discuss previous actions and next steps - Key topics discussed included managing the REFEDS sponsoring group, defining the scope of REF2 work, and establishing a steering committee - REFEDS' first year budget from August 2010-August 2011 allowed it to develop a website, hire more resources, and fund projects like PEER - REFEDS terms of use and IPR policies were presented and no objections were received - A revision of the REFEDS work plan for the upcoming year was needed to prioritize projects and proposals for identity assurance and user interface/discovery
