2. Basic components of verticality
for the DEFENDER:
Art 1 Legal guarding position must be
established.
Art 2 May jump vertically, but must
remain within his/her vertical plane.

for the DEFENDER:
Art 4 . . . The defender SHOULD NOT be
penalized for leaving the floor vertically
or having ……hands and arms extended
within his/her vertical plane.
