May 9 & 10 AFTB Level 1 “Military Survival Skills” training for Family Members. Army Family Team
9 am – 4 pm Training Building is hosting Level 1 training at the Army Community Service building,
P-4330, Conway Road from 9 am – 4 pm each day. This training will
introduce you to Army basics and much more. This training is two days,

10:30 am – 4 pm Appreciation plan to honor Military Spouses by offering a free movie at the Fort Drum
Event Multi-Purpose Auditorium (MPA) from 11 am- 2 pm. The MPA doors will
open at 10:30 and the movie being shown is “One For The Money” starring
Katherine Heigl. After the movie Spouses are invited to an Afternoon
Luncheon, Sponsored by Sams Club, at Adirondack Creek Community

May 12 Texas Hold ‘Em BOSS hosts the final Texas Hold’em Tournament of the year at the
noon Tournament Winner’s Circle located at the Commons. Registration begins at 12 Noon
and first deal starts at 1 pm. Tournament is open to all Soldiers, family
members, DoD Civilians, and Retirees 18 years of age and older. $350

May 12 Doubles Bowling This tournament is open to Active Duty Military assigned/attached to
1 pm Tournament Fort Drum, Family members 19 years and older, retirees, reservists, and

May 12 Midnight Sports This event is held in the gym at the Fort Drum Youth Center. Pick-up
8 pm - midnight at Youth Center games are played until midnight. Cost is $3.00 for members and $5.00 for

May 13 Mother’s Day Show Mom you love her by treating her to Mother’s Day brunch at the
11:30 am & 1 pm Brunch Buffet Commons on Fort Drum. No one does a brunch better than the Commons
where Master Chef Gee and his staff create a brunch feast for Mom that
will please the whole family! At the Commons you will enjoy assorted
pastries, fresh fruit and all of the regular breakfast fare including the
commons famous omelet station creating custom omelets to order. A salad
bar, side dishes, and a chef’s carving station will be offered along with
seafood specialties. Fresh baked breads and rolls, assorted cakes, and pies
will help finish the perfect brunch along with a juice station, coffee, and tea
included. The cost is at $18.95 per adult and $8.95 for children 8 years and
