Great Pumpkin Festival - Pumpkin Festival Washington Square (East Park), Oswego, NY. Oswego is
one of 20 international weigh-in sites for pumpkin growers competing in the Great Pumpkin Com-
monwealth. Growers from Oswego, and throughout New York, Pennsylvania, New England and Can-
ada will be competing in Oswego. Past winners have been 1,000-pound (in 1996), a 752-pound
pumpkin, a 731-pound squash, and a 107-pound watermelon. There is also live music, arts and

awards at 5pm. The festival will have two categories of competition, which also compete against each other for the Best Overall
