This document provides the details for an improvised spy thriller play called "39 Steps" including the setting, characters, props, costumes, and audience prompts needed. The protagonist Hannay must go through an arc from being wrongly accused of a crime to learning to believe in himself and defeating the antagonist. The spy, ally, antagonist and a wildcard character will be determined randomly. The play will use minimal props and costumes alongside projections to immerse the audience in the time period of the Cold War era.
