WA Police have been ‘Warne’d Café, Bethesda Hospital, 6.30pm for 7.00pm dinner.
Cost will be $40 per person, with $20 per person being donated back
The Summer Blood Challenge’s new star Rotary WA brought the to the club’s Charity Account.
WA Police down to earth with a stunning donation effort in the
third innings.
In a spectacular display of increased donations, Rotary WA knocked
another 11 donations onto the score board en route to the second-
fastest half-century in the Summer Blood Challenge ending the
innings on 36.
Rotary WA’s chase was silenced once WA Police claimed a massive
22 donations in the first half of the innings, leaving them out in
front on 71 just before tea.
Rotary WA’s knock is likely to keep the pressure on the WA Police,
as it gives its members a fighting chance to take the lead going into
the fourth.
Fine and mild conditions have been forecast for the start of the
fourth innings, but the weather is due to heat up on Thursday,
allowing both teams the chance to cool off whilst donating in one of
our air-conditioned donor centres.
There is still time for Rotary WA to put some more donations on the
board and take the lead. If the WA Police drop their game, this
could be a very close ending in February.
Book your group in today and remember to bring your attendance
form.  For bookings contact Ina at Perth Donor Centre on 9421 2891
or call 13 14 95 or your nearest donor centre today.
Umpires Fact: Although 1 in 3 people will require blood in their
lifetime, only 1 in 30 actually donates. If you are eligible and
thinking about giving blood, please help save lives and put a few
runs on the board for your team.

Polio. This is our promise to the children of the world, a world with
out Polio.
I’m in touch with a PDG from District 9110 and the Rotarians from the
Rotary Club of Vitoria Island East, whom will assist our team in
planning and implementing the NID.
I have been assured that at all times there will be no safety issues, as
our team will not be exposed to any volatile areas. Remembering that
the Nigerians know of Rotary and of the great work we do eradicating
Polio, and they all want the same as we do, to see their children are
protected against the scourge of Polio.
Nigeria accounts for 79% of the global wild Poliovirus type 1 and 10%
of the wild Poliovirus type 3 cases. Nigeria accounts for 90% of all
Polio cases in Africa.
Polio is a PAIN to the children of the world and it is in Pakistan,
Afghanistan, India, Nigeria.
The dates for the NID are 21st to the 24th of March 2009, the total time
we will be away will be decided by the team. I would expect it to be 10
days in Nigeria. Home stay could be possible but if not, they will
negotiate good rates for us in suitable hotels. Internal transport will be
provided by the Rotarians.

The Induction Night Dinner will be held on Thursday 5th February WA Police have been ‘Warne’d Café, Bethesda Hospital, 6.30pm for 7.00pm dinner.  Cost will be $40 per person, with $20 per person being donated back The Summer Blood Challenge’s new star Rotary WA brought the to the club’s Charity Account.  WA Police down to earth with a stunning donation effort in the third innings. In a spectacular display of increased donations, Rotary WA knocked another 11 donations onto the score board en route to the second- fastest half-century in the Summer Blood Challenge ending the innings on 36. Rotary WA’s chase was silenced once WA Police claimed a massive 22 donations in the first half of the innings, leaving them out in front on 71 just before tea. Rotary WA’s knock is likely to keep the pressure on the WA Police, as it gives its members a fighting chance to take the lead going into the fourth. Fine and mild conditions have been forecast for the start of the fourth innings, but the weather is due to heat up on Thursday, allowing both teams the chance to cool off whilst donating in one of our air-conditioned donor centres. There is still time for Rotary WA to put some more donations on the board and take the lead. If the WA Police drop their game, this could be a very close ending in February. Book your group in today and remember to bring your attendance form.  For bookings contact Ina at Perth Donor Centre on 9421 2891 or call 13 14 95 or your nearest donor centre today. Umpires Fact: Although 1 in 3 people will require blood in their lifetime, only 1 in 30 actually donates. If you are eligible and thinking about giving blood, please help save lives and put a few runs on the board for your team. Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay, District 9450 1

N e w H o r i z o n s National Immunisation Day in Nigeria My fellow Rotarians, My Rotary friends if you wish to be involved in this very satisfying I am in the process of planning a National Immunisation Day (NID) in and fulfilling experience of a lifetime, and would like more Nigeria and invite Rotarians whom wish to encounter a hands on information please contact PDG Ron Geary on 0429 001 692 or e-mail experience of a life time, immunising the children of Nigeria against rongeary@people.net.au Polio. This is our promise to the children of the world, a world with out Polio. I’m in touch with a PDG from District 9110 and the Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Vitoria Island East, whom will assist our team in planning and implementing the NID. I have been assured that at all times there will be no safety issues, as our team will not be exposed to any volatile areas. Remembering that the Nigerians know of Rotary and of the great work we do eradicating Polio, and they all want the same as we do, to see their children are protected against the scourge of Polio. Nigeria accounts for 79% of the global wild Poliovirus type 1 and 10% of the wild Poliovirus type 3 cases. Nigeria accounts for 90% of all Polio cases in Africa. Polio is a PAIN to the children of the world and it is in Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Nigeria. The dates for the NID are 21st to the 24th of March 2009, the total time we will be away will be decided by the team. I would expect it to be 10 days in Nigeria. Home stay could be possible but if not, they will negotiate good rates for us in suitable hotels. Internal transport will be provided by the Rotarians. National Immunization Day November 2008 I have received cost’s on flights with Emirates, from Perth / Dubai to Picture by Joe Serra and Jim Woodward - RC Stockton, D5520 Lagos and return at $4,100 each person.
