What kinds of snacks/drinks are provided on the race course?
Powerade and Clif products along with bananas and H2O will be provided at the stops along
the course.
Does my race number give me entry into the theme parks later in the day?
No
What are the pacing requirements for this race?
All athletes entering the Half Marathon and/or Marathon must maintain a 16-minute per
mile pace or faster throughout the race. Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces
will be picked up and transported to the finish. You can be picked up at any point along the
course for not maintaining pace.

Do my family/friends need to buy theme park tickets in order to cheer for me on
the race course?
No, only runners/coaches are allowed in the actual theme parks during the race – the parks
are not open during the race for any spectators.
Where can my family/friends see me on the course?
Have your spectators visit the website below to map out where they can spot you on the
course:
http://disneyworldsports.disney.go.com/dwws/en_US/marathon/spectator/detail?name=Sp
ectatorDetailPage.
Where do I go after I cross the finish line?
Look for the Rally Athletes tent in the finish line celebration area – we will have a big tent
setup with snacks, drinks, music, and fun for you. Our running coach will be there for
anything you need. This is a great place to tell your family/friends to meet you after you
cross the finish line (they can hang out here during the race also).
2
3. What are the best driving directions? Where do I park?
Please see page 9 in this packet for all directions/parking details
Do I have to be the one to pick up my race number or can I send someone to do
that for me?
Athletes who cannot pick up their race packet are allowed to have someone else pick up -
provided that individual brought a written authorization signed by the participant, a copy of
the participant's picture ID and an event waiver signed by the participant, plus their own
photo ID. (See race packet pick up procedures on page 5 for details)
Where do you recommend I stay during race weekend?
If you raise $2,900 (by 12/8/09) Rally Foundation provides a 3-night stay at Disney‟s Pop
Century Resort for you. If not, we would recommend staying at the team hotel (Pop
Century) because this is where most team activities will be held. To make a reservation to
Disney‟s Pop Century Resort please call: 407-WDISNEY or you can use this website:
http://bookwdw.reservations.disney.go.com/ibcwdw/en_US/_framework/components/proce
ssEngine?startOver=true&gatewayID=landing (click on “advanced search” and select “Pop
Century” which is listed under „value resorts‟). If it is unavailable „All Star Sports‟ is right
next door and another good location („All Star Music‟ and „All Star Movies‟ are close too).
If I reach $2,900 (by 12/8/09) and get the hotel room through Rally, do I have to
stay with another runner?
No, you get your own hotel room.
Can I have family/friends stay in my hotel room with me?
Family and friends can stay in your room with you – we just ask that you provide their
names (for the hotel) by 12/8/09.
What type of hotel room is provided by Rally?
We provide double-bedded rooms. You can request a King bed instead (if you make request
by 12/8/09) but we cannot guarantee.
Is it possible to upgrade my hotel room?
The only upgrade offered by Pop Century resort is “Preferred” room as opposed to the
“standard” room that is provided. “Preferred” only means the section closest to the main
building where the food court is located. The preferred rooms are also closer to the
transportation hub, which is the only difference.
3
4. Can I extend my stay in my Rally hotel room if I want to stay longer? How much
will it be?
Yes, Rally will pay for 3 nights for you and you will pay the remaining nights. You will get
the charity rate of $85/night + taxes. You must email nicole@rallyfoundation.org before
12/8/09 to request this.
When will I receive my Rally Athlete dri-fit shirt for race day?
They will be mailed to you one month prior to the race. The coach recommends running in it
a couple time prior to race day.
What if my race day shirt doesn’t fit?
Bring it with you to Disney and we can exchange sizes at the coach‟s clinic.
What if I don’t make my fundraising goal by the 12/8/09 deadline?
We will call you on that day to find out what you would like to do and discuss the options
with you. We can charge your credit card the remaining balance, work out a payment plan,
or extend your deadline to one week prior to the race.
Can my family/friends come with me to coach’s clinic and pasta dinner?
Yes, we just ask that you cover the cost of their dinner (see page 7 for details) and let us
know that they are coming by 12/8/09.
Can I contact my Rally Kid?
Our Rally Kid Coordinator notifies each of our Rally Kid families when someone is running in
their child‟s honor. She provides the families with your fundraising website as well as your
email address if they would like to contact you. Because of HIPPA laws, Rally Kid families
have to be the ones to initiate contact with our runners first (we can‟t give you their contact
info; we can only give them yours). Once they contact you, you are more than welcome to
communicate with them. Most Rally families are thrilled someone is running in their child‟s
honor and they pass along your website to friends, call or email, and might even want to
meet. However, some families might be in the middle of treatment or follow up care and
therefore it might be an overwhelming time for them to be able to get in touch with you.
Will I meet some Rally Kids?
Yes, definitely. Several Rally Kid families (I won‟t know which ones until that weekend) will
be coming to the pasta dinner to thank our Rally Athletes and share their story. Many others
will come the next day to cheer you on during the race – they love meeting our athletes!

number pick-up card/waiver form online and bring it with you to packet pick-up at
the Expo when it becomes available online in December.

7. Race Weekend Itinerary
Thursday – Friday
Check in to Disney‟s Pop Century Resort (or hotel of your choice)
Attend Race Expo to pick up your race number (see details on page 5). The coach
advises that you try to limit their walking around on Thursday/Friday to conserve
energy and to save your sightseeing until after the race.
Friday, January 8th
2:45p.m. – You (and any family/friends attending pasta dinner w/ you) meet
Disney event guide outside front entrance of Epcot by Guest Relations window to
receive your wristband for entrance to coach‟s clinic and pasta dinner (please wear
your Rally Athlete red t-shirt so that we can easily spot you). A Disney event guide
will need to escort Rally Athletes (and family/friend attending pasta dinner w/ you)
into Epcot to the Wonders Retreat where the coach‟s clinic/pasta dinner is held.
*Getting to Epcot: please allow enough time for long lines and waiting so that you
arrive to Epcot by 2:50p.m. (Event guides will escort our group in all together, so it
is important to be on time). You can take Disney transportation from any of the
Disney resorts to Epcot. If you are driving, plug in “Epcot at Disney World” and your
GPS will get you there.
3:15p.m. – Pre-Race Prep Clinic by Rally Professional Running Coach Starts
(For all Rally Athletes – please email nicole@rallyfoundation.org if you are unable to
attend so that our running coach can call you to brief you over the phone)
This is our time to get together as a group to discuss what you should do the night
before and day of the race. We will focus on getting you mentally, physically and
emotionally prepared for race day. Little things like locating the starting line on race
day, carrying your own toilet tissue (because they tend to run out), getting your race
number and how to fasten your timing chip will all be important tips on race day.
4:00p.m. – If you do not want to attend coach‟s clinic (or family/friends that want
to come later just to pasta dinner). Another Disney event guide will meet those who
want to arrive later at 4:00p.m. (See above for instructions next to 2:45p.m. for
detail about getting to Wonders Retreat/entrance)
4:45p.m. – Team Pasta Dinner Begins (for all Rally Athletes)
*will begin immediately following coach‟s clinic in Wonder‟s Retreat
We will hear from a couple of Rally Kid families and their story – this is our time to
celebrate you! Rally Foundation will cover each athlete‟s dinner – please feel free to
bring any family and friends we just ask that you cover the cost of their dinner
($25/person). Please email nicole@rallyfoundation.org and let her know how many in
your party will be attending so we can get a headcount for food.
