3. Pachmarhi: Pachmarhi is a hill stationis in the
Satpura range of hills. It is situated in Pipariya
tehsil. It is on the way of Piparia-Matkuli-
Pachamrhi road, at a distance of 123 kms. from
district head-quarter. It is connected with rail upto
Piparia railway station en-route of Hawrah-Mumbai
rail route. Pachamrhi is at a distance of about 52
km. from Piparia railway station and 211 km. from
state capital Bhopal. It is also known as "Queen of
Satpura" . By popular belief the name Pachmarhi
is a derivation of 'Panch-Marhi' or the five caves of
the Pandava brothers. During the British regime,
Pachmarhi was the summer capital of the Central
Provinces.
4. Bori's Sanctuary: A small forest village in the
extreme south of the Sohagpur tehsil, about 20
km.west of Pachmarhi, has given its name to the
oldest and most important rorest range in
Hoshangabad District. The Bori range extends
from the foot of the Pachmarhi hills to the Tawa
and Denwa rivers, and produces some of the
finest teak wood and bamboos in the State. Other
common trees in the Bori forest are Saj, Dhaora
and Tinsa. The Bori river which rises on the west
face of Dhupgarh, is the principle tributary of the
Sanbhadra. A Wild Life Sanctuary, to be known as
'Bori Sanctuary' has been set up in the area of
about 1200 sq.km. The Bori Sanctuary will be
accessible by rail and road from Bhopal.
5. Hoshangabad: It is a religious place due to holy river
Narmada. A thousands of pilgrims visited to this place
for sacred bath on the occasion of Makrasankranti,
Mahasivaratri & all Amavasyas. A Sethani ghat is the
most popular ghat for sacred bath. A crowed mela is
likely to be organized in the winter season. Also the
Narmada Jayanti is celebrated in the winter season
and inaugurated by the Chief Minister or Minister of the
state. Thousand of pilgrims attend the Narmada
Jayanti. Every year, a mela held in town on the
samadhi of Ramji Baba with an exhibition and it
continues for a month. A lot of crowd come from the
whole district alongwith an adjacent districts.
6. There are 960 Primary Schools, 207
Middle Schools, 69 Senior Secondary
Schools and 9 Schools are operated by
Tribal Department. Many educational
institutions including the Narmada
MahaVidhyalaya (NMV) were established
by prominent visionary late Pt. R L
Sharma. There are 11 Colleges and 1 is
Polytechnic College. All the colleges are
affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
There is an office of Saksharta Programme
which is running many literacy programs in
the district.
8. Hoshangabad is named after Sultan Hoshang Shah,
second of the Ghori sultans of Malwa, who ruled
from Mandu in the early fifteenth century. It
remained a relatively insignificant place till the
Bhopal conquest about 1720, when a massive stone
fort was constructed, with its base on the river,
commanding the Bhopal road. It sustained several
sieges during the 18th century, and passed
alternately into the hands of the Bhopal and Nagpur
rulers. after 1818 it became the residence of the
chief British officials in charge of the district.

It is a small village the main
occupation of the villagers is
farming. The main crop is wheat,
rice and soybean. The principal of

13. My school building is very old about 50 years
old. Middle and higher secondary classes are
conducted in this building in two shifts. In
morning shift middle school classes (5th to
8th) are conducted.
The higher secondary classes (9th to 12th) are
conducted in afternoon shift. In this building
there are 6 class room in which different
classes are conducted .There are two big
halls , one staff room one library room and one
office room. We have a big play ground where
the students play different games in their
games period.
14. My school building is not very big
but we have managed for the
library room where students pass
their free time and gain the
knowledge from different
magazines and news papers.
Every year the students make
school hand written magazine by
collecting information news
articles. They also write their own
articles and poems.
15. Every day the students recites school prayer in
beginning of school time they also recites
national anthem after prayer. In this prayer
session the students of different houses
delivers different type of news such as Science
news, Sports news. National news,
International news and local news. Every day
one of the house teacher also delivers moral
thought to the students. The students attach
the valuable latest information on the display
board every day. All the student read these
information and get the knowledge about
different activities conducted in the school and
latest news all over the world.
16. There are 300 students in higher secondary section.
This school is a co-ed school. There are about 200 girls
& 100 boys. All the boys and girls come from different
villages. The financial potions of the parents are very
weak. The government provides bicycles to the girls to
come to school. Although the financial condition and
the family back ground of the student is very weak the
students are very laborious they comes school
regularly.
Last year class 12th result was 100% some student have
got distinction in different subject. There are faculties in
the school these are math science, bio, science and
arts. In 9th the science faculties the students study
about math, physics, chemistry and bio. In the arts
faculties they study about history, political science,
economics, English language and mother language
(Hindi) is common for all. The students play different
games in school play ground like football, badminton,
kabaddi etc.
17. There are 15 teachers in our school. Out
of them 6 teachers are for higher sec.
classes and other a teachers are for
high school classes. All teachers are
well qualified and expert in there
relevant subjects. All teachers are
postgraduate. We have games teachers
also who trend the students for different
games the student take parts in different
games on district divisional and state
level. Kabaddi is most popular game of
our school.
18. Mogli utsav- this is a competition in which
students of diff. classes participate in school
level through essay competition the selected
two students then take part on block level
essay writing competition based on
environments and forest field. The students
who are selected in this level take part in
quiz competition on district level. The
selected two students one boy and one girl
visit any national forest which is organized
by the state govt. this year one student of
this school name Swati Sahu of class -11th is
selected for this visit probably she will visit
at the end of this moth to Pench Abhyaranya
(national forest). We also

This year we organized an educational tour. For
students and teachers we went Betul’s Balagipuram
temple on 6 Dec. 2010. 60 students and 15 teachers
went on this tour. The spot was 90 km away from
the school so we all proceed by car and taxies. We
reached there at 1 pm. The Balajipuram is one of
the educational, cultural and religious tourist spot.
All the students enjoy a lot there. We came back at
9pm at the night. It was a pleasant tour.
20. The result of higher sec. class of year
2009-10 was 100% it was a really great
achievement for the school. School
principal Mr. Rajesh Gupta was awarded
by the ministers and higher education
authorities for this achievement on
teacher’s day.

been selected by British Council for the
educational tour to London for connecting
class room project.
21. In the whole session school
administration conduct different
exams like unit text, quarterly exam,
half yearly exam, and pre-board
exam and finally the annual exam.
Our session starts from 15 June and
ends on 15 April.
22. In the school all the students are divided in
three houses. These houses are Gandhi
house, Ambedkar house and Nehru house.
The name of the houses is based on the
great leader of India. These houses works
under the supervision of house leader
teacher every house follows their duties for
one week the house is responsible for all kind
of discipline in the school they manage the
school prayer, school cleanliness, classroom
discipline etc. Every year we organize sports
day. In which students of different house
takes part in different events according their
houses.
