Celebrating my dad's 3rd decade, in honor of his 70th birthday. Includes small changes from the original (presented) version.

1. 1960 through 1969 A decade to remember (although which one isn’t???)

3. Abba and Paul competed for the part…

4. Abba and Paul competed for the part… Rumor has it, it was a difficult decision. In the end, it wasn’t the glasses that did it… It was the fact that Abba was in black & white

5. So, a disappointed Abba sailed home

6. The Captain greeted him and checked if Paul was the next guy or not…

7. Abba went back to finish school

8. Oh yeah, he was at JTS too…

9. In the summer of ‘61, Abba met Eema

10. Or maybe she looked more like this? (I was thinking the previous one might have been from the Bat Mitzvah)

11. November 22, 1963

12. He graduated in 1965

13. Also in 1965 (I think) Abba got a pilot’s license Zoom in a bit…

14. After finishing Rabbinical school, Abba took up Uncle Sam’s offer…

15. Which landed him in Fort Knox

16. And Abba and Eema wrote to each other…

17. And they fell in love….

18. And got married… DELETE THIS ONE!!!

19. And made sure to eat a healthy melon (although every time I look at it, at first glance I’m sure it’s a falafel…)

20. June 5, 1967 – The Six Day War began

21. And ends (6 days later, actually)

22. August 1967, Abba and Eema decided to give me a big brother His name is Benjamin Shai, which quickly became Benjy & later “Ben”

23. After some time in Columbia SC, they move to New Jersey (just so I’d never have to say I was born in the south…) Well, I’m sure that was the main reason.

24. And in May, 1969, I came along 

25. And our little family went on vacation… Sorry, Sam, you weren’t actually born yet…

27. And as one decade ends, another begins, full of new and exciting adventures, meeting new people and going new places…
