3. It was time to go to school.
Mum called Kowhai to hop in the car.
But Kowhai didn’t want to go to school by car;
she did that everyday!

4. The other children in her
class certainly got
to school in more
exciting ways.

5. Pete and Pania piggy-back their way,
and make a great, fun start to their day.

6. Sally and Simon strut to school,
on their silly stilts; don’t they look cool?

7. Carol and Coral cartwheel their way;
turning and yearning to do lots of learning.

8. Parachuting down
come Pita and
Paula;
getting to school
can be a lot cooler.

9. Flapping their wings like a bird,
Belle and Bailey fly ahead of the school herd.

10. Sarah, Scott and Steve skip happily to class.
Safely they ensure they’re only on the grass.

11. Just like Tarzan, Tayla and Tania swing from tree to tree,
being careful they don’t hurt their knees...

12. Brian and Ben bounce along,
their springy shoes go “bong, bong, bong!”

13. Daniel and Dylan dig their way through the ground,
getting to school actively and without a sound.

14. Sid and Sam swim deep into the sea,
wet and refreshed they arrive... whoopee!

15. Silent and still Kowhai
thinks of a way to keep fit,
and to get to school safely
and in one bit.

16. Putting on her helmet,
Kowhai did decide,
that to take a good ride
on her trusty bike
was just what she liked.
