18. How do we keep children safe?
• All students have “Cyber Safety
agreements” that are signed by
parents/caregivers
• This grants students permission to use
ICT equipment/devices
19. How do we keep children safe?
• We only publish photos of students when
parents have agreed to this - signed
permission forms
• Photos are usually of students in
group situations
• We would NEVER allow photos to be
shown of students in compromising
positions/situations
• We would NEVER include photos that
would make students feel embarrassed.
20. How do we keep children safe?
• All comments are
“moderated” by teachers
first (before students see
them)
• This ensures students are protected any
silly, rude or spam-type comments
• Comments can be rejected and NOT
appear on the blog if the teacher chooses
• No comment can go on without teacher
approval
21. How do we keep children safe?
• Each class has/is developing
“Blogging Rules”
• These are written in consultation with
students after discussion so they “own”
the rules
• Rules are written in an
age-appropriate way for
each year group
