11. European Energy Award in Romania
• Co-financing up to 10 projects in the field of
sustainable energy management in about
4 selected Romanian cities, with 37 Mio CHF,
in the context of the Swiss enlargement contri-
bution to eastern European countries
• Disseminate and intensify strategies for sustainable energy policies in
Romanian cities, like e.g. “Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAP)”
within the “Covenant of Mayors” initiatives of the European
Commission.
• Introduction of the eea/Energy City-Management System recognized as
one of the best implementing tools for SEAP, in selected Romanian
cities .

• LCCC: Activity within the Global Program Climate
Change of the SDC (Swiss Agency for Development
and Cooperation)

support, incl. an innovative indicator system, a
comprehensive management approach is developed
and employed.
